I should mention that dr sipe also said "are you sure it's pain and you're not just uncomfortable?"…read more I was bleeding internally after retrieval....

Our experience here was awful. While Dr Sipe is personable and nice, he unexpectedly went on…read moremedical leave in the middle of our treatment. We were not assigned another doctor in the practice to fill in for questions. Our nurse was gruff and rude about this. Nurse Agnes and the woman at the front desk (Linda?) are unhelpful, rude and short. I dreaded working with Agnes or having to ask her any sort of question. She is impatient and cold. And with IVF you will have many many questions especially first timers. IVF and infertility is an extremely expensive, stressful and emotionally draining process. This clinic does nothing to make this process easier or more compassionate. If anything they make it 1,000% harder and 1,000% more confusing. Never once did Dr Sipe call us personally to deliver any results or news as our new clinic has. Never once did he do any of our IUI's himself. There is no personalized care here. Their online portal is a way for them to avoid you. Email is not the correct means of communication in this particular industry. Sometimes you need a live person. This clinic makes you feel more vulnerable and makes you feel like you are just dollar signs to them. I lost all trust in them and trust is essential in this industry. Their billing is not clear and we received one quote from Dr Sipe and a much higher estimate and invoice from billing. It feels unclear on purpose. I'm still receiving bills 7 months later. When you want your medical records released they are basically held hostage unless you push and stay on top of them and pay exorbitant fees or they say they have 30 days to release them. We were caught up on all bills from them and they still set up road blocks to not give me access to my information. Unacceptable and borderline unethical. I gladly paid the fees to get as far as possible from this practice as quickly as possible. This type of experience is not one that will help you get pregnant. Adding more stress will only make your timeline longer. Also, look up their SART data. www.sartonline.com. It's great compared to other practices in Chicago. I absolutely do not recommend FCI. If you want TLC, knowledgeable and compassionate nurses go to Advanced Fertility Centers of Chicago and see Dr Irani. He was a godsend. FCI was a terrible experience for us and I thank god we stopped working with them and found AFCC.

I am leaving this review in hopes that other young women are better informed and protected than I…read morewas. At 18 years old, I had an IUD placed at this clinic. I was supposed to receive a Kyleena, but was instead given a Mirena, which is typically recommended for women who have previously given birth. The insertion and post-procedure period were extremely painful, resulting in several days of debilitating pain and months of chronic discomfort afterward. Following placement, I developed a bacterial infection and was told it was likely due to my partner cheating, rather than being informed of the known risks associated with IUDs. Over the next several years, I experienced recurrent yeast infections and ongoing symptoms. When I contacted the office for help, I was repeatedly told I could not be seen for 7-10 days and that I should not treat the symptoms myself, an unrealistic expectation given the severity and frequency of the infections. I eventually expressed my desire to have the IUD removed after researching and strongly suspecting it was the root cause of my symptoms. I was told this was "not a good enough reason" to discontinue birth control or remove the device, and I felt dismissed and pressured to keep it despite ongoing harm. I kept the IUD for another year before finally having it removed against medical advice. Since removal, I have been symptom-free for the first time since the device was placed. This clinic failed to listen to me, failed to provide informed, patient-centered care, and failed to respect my autonomy. I strongly urge patients, especially young women, to advocate for themselves and seek second opinions if something feels wrong.

I just had a D and C to complete my miscarriage that was diagnosed three-and-a-half months prior…read more(see initial review for poor communication regarding miscarriage). After my procedure was complete, I was instructed that I cannot go swimming for 8 weeks. There goes the rest of my summer! As the initial review said, my fertility doctor told me on a Friday before my Monday vacation (that she knew about) that I could get a quick D and C at the ER days before my trip such that I could swim in the ocean would be possible. Wrong. Even if the ER was able to do a quick D and C, I would not have been able to swim on my vacation, being that it was to Hawaii, would have utterly ruined it. Not to mention that I would have been coming out of general anesthesia days before. I guess it is the sign of our times...misinformation that leads to harm.

Despite having an unpredictable injection schedule - Tiffany stayed in touch via text and made sure she was available when needed (even for a 2am injection!). She came to my apartment for my injection - making it incredibly convenient. Given her expertise with the procedure, she was able to give me on-demand advice and help me stay positive throughout the process. I would recommend Tiffany to anyone and everyone going through IVF and/or Egg Freezing. She eliminates the stress associated with injections and is a key source of support! I couldn't say enough positive things.

Tiffany is so warm and friendly, I began to look forward to her nightly visits (even though it was to get a shot) - she became like a friend and even followed up with me to see how things were going in our fertility journey. She also taught my husband and I helpful tips on how to administer the shots correctly and in a way that hurt much less than what we'd been doing before. It's so nice to have a service like this available - I can't recommend Smith Fertility enough.

I debated posting this for so long. I began my IVF journey with dr Reinhart in 2017. He was…read morewonderful. We had to freeze our embryos due to career changes and returned in 2021 with Dr Rana. Dr Rana was amazing and had a successful pregnancy without a hitch. He was so comforting, caring and understanding. He took his time to listen to us and was extremely helpful as they were still strict Covid protocols in place during this time. I returned again in 2023 for another transfer, during that time Dr Rana unfortunately passed and I was handed off to Dr Victoria. She was dismissive from the start. After a few surgeries that she related I need for a "successful" transfer were completed we had an unsuccessful transfer. We had 1 embryo left but decide to do another egg retrieval. We had another transfer which thankfully was successful but not uneventful . During this time I had heavy bleeding and I kept calling the office and the nurse Sophia and Dr Victoria were very dismissive saying that it was implantation bleeding. Mind you I was soaking through pads. This went on for 8 weeks. On what was supposed to be my last appointment before handing me over to by obgyn I walked into the building and I felt like was bleeding heavier then usual. I was. I went into the office and told the front desk and I was escorted into a room I laid there beeping for 10-15 mins. My husband and I thought we miscarried. Dr Victoria walked and immediately says she so sorry and these things happen. The ultrasound tech also came in with her and performed an ultrasound. On the screen we see the baby and heart beat. I was then diagnosed with subchorionic hematomas. I could've been diagnosis earlier if they would have listen when I told them continuously about the bleeding. Nurse Sophia called me the following day and asked me to increase my progesterone when I asked why, her response in the most snarkiest tone was, "well cause your bleeding." I understand that but maybe a clinical explanation as to how it would helped would have been wonderful. I stayed another week and at this point I began to have morning sickness. We discussed options and I expressed my concerns with Zofran. She looks at me, throws her hands up in the air and says, "another one." I just went through something traumatic so yes I would be very concerned. She had this dismissive behavior during the entire time I was there. I couldn't wait to be discharged from that office. I hope this helps anyone is going through fertility issues so you don't have to be more stressed during an already stressful time. I'm grateful for my two children but the way I was talked to and how I was made to feel was uncalled for.

I have now been to 3 IVF clinics and this was by far the WORST experience I've had. I met Dr. T…read moreonly once via virtual visit. She was almost an hour late for my egg retrieval and that was the only other interaction I had with her for a whole minute. And when I got my results, she did not contact me. It was some random nurse I had never spoken with before. In fact, I didn't even have 1 or 2 consistent nurses I'd be in contact with. There would be multiple. For such an intimate and personal thing to go through, this clinic doesn't see you as anything more than a number. And during my results virtual appointment, Dr. T wasn't the one to tell us our results or discuss this with us, it ws some random nurse we had never met. This just shows the level of care Dr. T has for her patients. Instead, we met with some random nurse we had never met. We had asked this nurse what we could have done differently. She had a whole list of things. My question is, given my age and the lack of time I have to get any good eggs, why didn't they provide me with this list during my initial retrieval with them? I had 2 other doctors in other clinics look at the protocol that was given to me and they both said they were shocked by Dr. T's approach and how much she pumped me up. I had OHSS after it, and it was an awful experience. I will never visit this clinic again. Also I didn't have success with my egg retrieval.
