What I don't appreciate is when medical practitioners get offended when you ask questions, or challenge theories when it comes to your own health. It is my body and my life, I think every patient should ask questions and challenge conventional theories. I have a thyroid issue. I am trying to find ways to heal it. I have been seeing Dr. Horsefield for maybe 5 years now, and have noticed passive aggressiveness before... but what I recently experienced is clearly unacceptable. I saw him for my regular annual appointment 3 months ago. My TSH levels were too high, so I got on some thyroid supplements and we retested about 6 weeks later. The results came in and the TSH levels were too low. I have since readjusted my medication and sent him an email politely asking if he could order the bloodwork to retest my levels so I can ensure i am now healthy and found the right balance. His response was callous. I have attached a photo with the passive aggressive response, where he makes it clear that he wont put the test in the system because he doesn't get paid for "answering emails, ordering tests, reviewing tests, communicating test results and maintenance of records" ..... REALLY? Aren't those tasks associated with being a doctor? I would be happy to pay him, for me it isn't about the money at all. In addition, clearly SOMEONE is getting paid when I order these lab tests because I'm charged thousands of dollars for them. All I need though is the bloodwork.... and he doesn't have availability for 2 months!?! I'm extremely disappointed that someone in the healthcare field is so much more concerned about their wallet than their patients health. Also if he wanted to charge me a processing fee that is fine, but his solution is clearly not in my best interest to wait 2 months and potentially do irreversible damage to my body.

Recently, I came in after having a headache for over a week. Upon talking to a doctor, I was immediately sent to her a CAT SCAN with the word STAT on the paperwork. I was scheduled the following day but my insurance denied the coverage. After another week I went again back into the office. The office manager was so mad at my insurance she called them immediately. She was able to get a conference call between them and my doctor and got it approved the same day. I got a CAT SCAN done the next day. I ended up having a blood clot in my brain. She probably saves my life. I highly recommend this group of dedicated professionals.

Although I am a patient of Dr. Knafo, I've only spoken to her 3 of the minimum 9 times I had appointments. The other visits I was seen by two other female doctors. Now this isn't a big issue if you are going for smaller concerns like check ups and well woman exams but I had a continuous stomach issue that the lack of consistency in visits very negatively effected. I ran the same tests multiple times and explained the same symptoms/reactions to the doctors each visit and we ran in circles. I understand this is a family practice and not a specialist, but at some point it's up to the doctors to admit they don't know and refer me to someone else. It took a year of this before I broke down crying and begged for them to refer me. I would like to commend Dr. Knafo on what she is TRYING to do. When I did get to meet with her she was very caring and serious about my mental health. ( I have anxiety and depression ) Although, I believe this effected her judgement a little too much, I often felt like she wouldn't take my other physical health concerns seriously until I started taking medication as she strongly urged for me to start taking lexipro whenever I saw her. I've been doing well with my mental health, and would often express to her the reason behind my being so wound up and on the verge of tears in her office is because I was a 19 year old college student battling a mystery issue and running the same tests every visit. Making appointments is easy, everything else over the phone is hit or miss depending on if they feel like taking your call at that time.

She has a friendly bedside manner and is extraordinarily knowledgeable. Great ophthalmologist. I also loved how we were able to just talk for a bit: so few doctors have the time to chat with their patients since they are under so much pressure to see as many patients as possible. Dr. Fredrickson is the opposite: she was happy to give me all the time I needed during my visit. I didn't feel rushed at all! That is just so rare. She even saw me without an appointment for my acute visit: I didn't know that was possible. I happily went back for a follow up a few days later. Thanks, Dr. Fredrickson!

He & his staff are all bilingual (Spanish) and very welcoming to both new & existing patients. Everyone is treated like family. It's important to have a primary care physician to help coordinate with other specialists when needed and Dr. Munoz & his staff excel in this area! We highly recommend both Dr.Munoz & his wonderful nurses & staff! I had a possible stroke scare during Hurricane Beryl & even though their offices were closed due to weather Dr. Munoz made time to speak to my husband on the phone and gave him a list of symptoms to check me for then advised my husband to take me to an ER asap to have an MRI done. The MRI was critical and excellent advice. They found a brain tumor that had to be removed immediately. Dr. Munoz & his wife came to the hospital to check on me & recommended an excellent neurologist. They have checked in several times to let me know our family is in their prayers and have provided strength in a very difficult time in our lives.
