I've seen many freestanding radiology practices disappear, along with my reports and images, many of which would be valuable for comparison if only they were available. My first tip: Stick with a company with proven longevity, such as SWDIC. My second tip: Get all of your outpatient imaging done at the same place so that you will know how to quickly find what a provider may want to see some day. SWDIC does every procedure I can think of. My next tip: if you have special needs, go to an imaging center where the staff and their accomodations can meet your needs easily. Two examples: at SWDIC, I always had the best of care from Cindy, the same mammography tech year after year, despite my limitations from MS. And I know of no other place you can have an MRI if you can't just get up and walk away from your power wheelchair (Don't I wish!) and walk the long distance to the MRI table. Uh, there's a good reason that I must use a power wheelchair, and only SWDIC has an MRI with a detachable exam table that can be brought to the patient who can't trek to an attached exam table! I thank God for the foresight of SWDIC clinical and executive staff for providing this invaluable tool! Never have I ever met a SWIC staff member, from schedulers to the front desk, to the professional staff who was not both professional and kind, and personal if the interaction was long enough. You may well leave with your images and reports in hand; just ask, if that will be helpful. And don't get away without a parking voucher, although I've always been given one before I could ask.

They would not allow me to accompany her to help, despite her needing assistance, and the way they spoke to us was cold and unprofessional. Healthcare staff should understand that many patients are already anxious or vulnerable when they come in. A little kindness goes a long way, but unfortunately that wasn't our experience here. I would not recommend this facility based on the poor customer service and lack of empathy we received.

I am giving one star for the result of the biopsy, that there wasnt one, after putting myself thru anesthesia and pain to get a real answer about my cancer, I find out that not only was the biopsy done in an unusual manner as to placement, but that the tissue taken was not the type or amount to give me the answers I needed to go forward with treatment. When I called and spoke to the manager about the results, she was dismissive and also told me that what I had done was not a bone marrow biopsy, that they could only be done at the hip. This is not true, and I know my doctor ordered a fine needle aspirate. I would not recommend this business for this type of test. The doctor doing the biopsy had ample time to get the correct samples as I was completely under during this CT guided procedure.

Dr. Van Meter is supported by and excellent, efficient and gracious staff which works well together and with him. Last, I recommend him for his kindness, patience and clarity. This is my 2nd go-round (technically 3rd) at the Women's Imagining Center…read more I had a 3D mammogram done here a year & 1/2 ago. I needed to return for a second exam that visit. The phone call requesting a return visit provided a few days of angst, but all ended up well. Here I am again this year. The reception, check in & practitioners have been fabulous on all visits. My practitioner even remembered me from 18 months ago.....Wow! There is PLENTY of room for family members or providers to accompany you on your visit. There is coffee and magazines. I had to fill out one set of paper-docs for my DEXA. They have switched to pretty cool electronic check in docs for a mammogram. They hand you an iPad, you check some boxes & viola. Once it's time for your exam, clients are taken to a changing area with keyed-lockers to store your items (Thank You from single gals everywhere!) They have these 1/2-length, cape-style garments for mammograms which make it a little more convenient to hit those poses for the squish. There are also some longer more traditional hospital-like garments with sleeves for other exams or mobility/modesty issues.....don't be shy....get your mammogram cape on! You're a self-care super hero for being there. Once changed, clients remain in a separate waiting area until their exam. When you are done, collect your things from the locker, change & you're done. Don't forget to leave the key!! The mammogram sincerely not that bad at all. I'm not sure why there are so many stories of super-squishy pain. That hasn't been my experience(s). ** Do not wear garments with metal from the waist-down for DEXA....get your yoga pant day on ladies! On the day of the mammogram, do not apply lotions, creams or deodorant. I remember seeing personal wipes last year. I didn't see those this year. If you have to work or run around before your appointment, I think applying deodorant & bringing wipes would work out well. I saw a few ladies that use canes. I did not see anyone that used a wheelchair. Regardless, I have no doubt that they facilitate exams for anyone with mobility issues. No excuses! Get your exams done. If not for you, do it for your family and all the ladies (& men!) diagnosed in the time since your last exam! Best of health to all.......

There billing practices are not very ethical, rec'd an email stating "Statement for Medical…read moreServices" it was only a email, no statement was attached, also, it said "Dear Patient" with this it gives the appearance it's a scam. And to click this "Link". It has been noted not to click on any attachments from a cyber specialist via email or text. I called the main number they are located in Dallas, I had them transfer me to the billing dept, did not trust the number given on the email, however it did call the number, no info was given during this call. A proper statement should have the dates of service, procedures that were handled and the amount. This was not indicated in the email rec'd this was poorly handled, there billing dept needs education. When I called the main number, and requested to be transferred I did speak with there associate (out source over seas) date of of service was in April of this year, I was informed who my insurance was, they had the incorrect insurance, Later on I while using my IPAD Iclicked on the link and was able to get a itemized statement, there were five procedures it showed two amounts, and three were pending insurance, with a total balance of zero??. Upon checking the website via my PC, my antivirus showed a "Malware Warning" stating it was harmful for my PC. I had already used the link via IPAD prior to using my PC. To get the info had to enter "last name, DOB and the statement ID that was included in the email. (Don't Click The Link) They need to get there act together and check there computer main frame etc. for any indications of Malware within there system. With all the reviews I will never use them, but my provider has contracted with them. I will advise them of this as well.

Billing NIGHTMARE- falsely referred to collections I am…read moresubmitting this review to document a very frustrating experience with American Radiology Consultants' billing department. I received two invoices, both of which I paid immediately upon receipt. Despite this, I subsequently received a collections notice for $32, for which I had never received a prior bill. When I contacted the billing office to resolve the matter, I discovered that none of the invoice amounts I received and paid aligned with my insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB). After insurance adjustments and payments, the correct amounts should have been $15.67, $32.84, and $14.35. My payments of $16.28 and $30.02 (clearly not matching what should have been billed) were not properly recorded in their system. This does leave a balance of only $16.56. Clearly not matching their collections letter of $32.84. I have spoken to them by phone and by email (no reply to my emails). This demonstrates a clear lack of internal controls and accuracy within their billing operations. In reviewing their record with the Better Business Bureau, they are not an accredited member and have multiple complaints describing the same billing discrepancies. I would strongly advise any patient or referring provider to exercise caution! If you get stuck with them, verify all statements, payments, and insurance correspondence carefully. keep records and be on the lookout for being turned over to Collections
