Honestly, I somewhat chose this location at random as it was near my office. I remember calling early June 2015 to set up my first appointment and was blown away at how professional and sweet Debbie at the front desk was. Everyone really at this location is more than professional and exhibits exceptional customer service skills. My treatment consisted of recovery from surgery for a herniated disc. My first appointment was measurements and stretching. Three months later, I just wrapped up my last session of PT and am back at the gym. I have progressed so much in my time at NTPT and I have Mary Ellen and her staff to thank for it. Each week we progressed our exercises. The variety of different exercises was great too, and very encouraging. They took the time to explain the science behind what we were doing, making sure I utilized proper form. Additionally, they gave me homework I could do at home and at the gym on my own. I think the biggest take away was their teaching me proper form so as to not re-injure myself. In closing, the staff here at NTPT is beyond amazing. They really took the time to explain things to me, they genuinely care about their patients' recoveries, and even went so far as to check in on me afterwards. I dislocated my shoulder and rehabbed at North Texas PT for 6 weeks. I knew nothing about physical therapy prior to my injury and didn't know what to expect, but Mary Ellen and her team blew me away in all aspects of my experience. The service at the front desk/check-in was even top notch. Mary Ellen has a way of making you feel comfortable while also pushing you to succeed. She makes you believe in your ability to heal, and gives you confidence that makes the PT sessions fun and enjoyable. Kristen was also great to work with and she, too, made the sessions fun due to her positive attitude and genuine care/desire to help. After having ankle reconstruction surgery (including new donor bone and screws/rod) in my ankle I no longer could feel my big toe nor could walk. I was terrified. However, Mary, Toby and her staff were miracle workers!!! Their knowledge, sincere concern, helfulness was by far the most impressive. They were quick to help me out the car to get in the office, quick to work with my work schedule, quick to work ankle and whole body (everything starts with your core!) and did not hurt to get the emotional clap when you take your first step again after months. My experience at NTPT&R has been incredible. It has been a pleasure to work with truly engaged, caring and knowledgeable professionals. I am referring to Mary Ellen and Toby who both worked with me after an accident that required a hip implant. In their respective manners, they quietly challenge the weakness with appropriate strength-building protocols. Savvy, humor and a profound knowledge of body mechanics undergird the dynamic at this clinic. I have been to North Texas Physical Therapy for both my knee and my shoulder and have always received caring, individualized attention. I had a bad experience with another physical therapy center that ran people in and out like cattle with very few actual physical therapists and LOTS of assistants where I spent most of my physical therapy hour on my own without help from the physical therapist. I went to NTPT&R both before and after lumbar surgery and a total hip replacement. Mary Ellen and the staff at the N. Dallas location are superb - knowledgeable, compassionate and very professional. I went to NTPT for several sessions last summer so they could give me an exercise regiment I could incorporate on my own at our gym to help me prepare for knee replacement surgery on 9/21/16. I returned to them again for several months following my very successful surgery. Mary Ellen and Kristen were extremely attentive and helped me a lot with a wide range of specific, detailed exercises and techniques that helped me before and after my surgery. The folks at North Texas Physical Therapy were extremely helpful and professional. I chose physical therapy to improve my back pain (due to scoliosis) in lieu of surgery. My pain has been helped and I will continue to improve using the plan provided by Mary Ellen. I have chronic lower back pain, and have gone here twice and gotten excellent results both times. One 8-week session was to help me manage a 2-week trip to Europe with lots of walking and sight-seeing. Recently I've gone back to strengthen my 'core,'whatever that is. Mary Ellen is always positive, always reassuring, always ready to listen. Her assistants are also helpful, and give me personalized attention on every visit. I had been to physical therapy for my scoliosis before and much of what I did depended on needing another person to first get me aligned. Mary Ellen and her able staff immediately started me on exercises which enabled me to become stronger on my own. By my second appointment, my pain had subsided. After completing a month of therapy, I now practice stretching and weightbearing exercises at home. I went to North Texas Physical and am pleased with the results and the various stretching exercises I am continue at home.
