Their honesty, professionalism, and exceptional communication set them apart from any contractor I've hired before. Jake was completely transparent about costs from the very beginning and stayed true to the agreed-upon budget--no surprises, no hidden add-ons. The project timeline was clearly established, and they stuck to it. He was also incredibly respectful of our home, our privacy, and even my concerns about keeping our dog safe throughout the construction process. Every subcontractor that stepped through our door was someone Jake had a trusted relationship with, which gave us complete peace of mind. His #2, Jeremiah, deserves his own special shoutout--hardworking, kind, honest, and someone we genuinely enjoyed having around. I actually miss seeing them now that the project is done! No construction project is ever without a hiccup or two, but on the rare occasions something came up, Jake immediately took responsibility and worked swiftly and fairly to fix the issue. That level of integrity is priceless. When challenges happen, he's exactly the person you want in your corner. We also had our ADU plans drawn up by Spokane House Plans, who did an outstanding job and highly recommended Recreate Contracting LLC--now I know why. After our experience, I can't imagine working with anyone else. If you want a contractor who delivers excellent craftsmanship, clear communication, and unwavering honesty -- look no further than Recreate Contracting LLC. Highly, highly recommend!

I am not a satisfied customer, personally. I hired Rain or…read moreShine Roofing and paid for the job in full Nov. 8. ($23,000). Shingles were removed from my home Nov 17. The roof wasn't complete until Jan 7. Tarps flapped from the roof for weeks, annoying my neighbors. Tools and a leaf blower sat on my roof for 4 weeks; no work was being completed. No building permit was pulled for the first 4 weeks of the roofing project. I had to insist a permit be pulled. Labor and Industries called me to alert me this company does not have insurance currently to protect their employees. The quality of work just wasn't there. My kitchen vent was removed, thrown away and shingled over, blocking my exhaust fan. I saved for years for this project and will need to spend thousands more to get the result I expected. I thought a lot about posting this- unfortunately I feel it necessary to warn consumers about this company.

He explained everything to me, provided me with up front & very fair pricing, took pictures of before and after, and was overall a fantastic person to do business with. I hired him a second time roughly 6 months later when my lean to collapsed under heavy snow and ripped off part of my garage that it was attached to. I will always support small, locally owned businesses & Chuck will always be my roof guy. Always on time, personable, respectful, informative, and honest, with fair pricing. Highly recommended! I also want to add, I had Chuck finish painting a small section of the exterior of my home that was too high up for me to safely do on my own. Not only did he do a great job with the painting, but he also painted several other areas that needed some touch-up around the exterior of my home. This was something he took upon himself to do, and he did not charge extra to do it. Chuck is a very kind & thoughtful individual who went above & beyond.

However, a friend recommended John Skoog's business, Sunvek, whom we contacted immediately. John came straight over, thoroughly evaluated the roof, provided us with pictures of the damage and outlined the necessary repairs, and then started work the next day. The roof was completely replaced within two days and the work was flawless. Everyone associated with Sunvek was wonderful to work with, they were extremely generous in the financial arrangements they made with us, and we're delighted to recommend them without reservation. On the advice of our property manager, we got a bid from Sunvek to put a 1 inch layer of foam on the roof followed by an overlay of silicon. The foam added R7 insulation value, while the white silicon reflects the sunlight back, keeping our building cooler in summer. John Skoog and his crew spent a full day cleaning the roof and addressing problem areas like ridges on the old torch down. The next day, the foam and silicon went on. The new roof is seamless and tight. No mess was left. Very professional. As an additional note, in the past I've dealt with contractors who were dismissive or condescending to me as I am female. With this contractor, I was listened to, my questions were fully answered, and as we walked the roof before the project, John Skoog pointed out exactly what he proposed to do. Highly recommended.

Part 2: The day…read moreafter posting the previous review, I received another call from that Anchorage Alaska number (Tim). He told me that he saw my post and had no idea that Luke had done this. He and Luke had quite the showdown in the office. He wanted to make good on HIS estimate and would be out in two days. Upon arriving at my house he informed me that Luke had been fired and that they were doing an in-house investigation on him to see if he had been doing this for awhile. The company also discovered that Luke is the brother of the owner of a local competing chimney sweep business and that Luke might've been trying to way over-bid jobs so that people like me would go with his brothers company. Tim completed my job at a cost that was way below his original estimate. I appreciate people like Tim who want to take the time to make things right when there's an obvious wrong. Tim said that Ron (owner) was in agreement of his "fix the problem" attitude and this reflects greatly on the integrity of this company! I will NOW continue to use the services of this company and I hope that Tim gets a big fat raise for this! Tim definitely has a servant's heart and got $20 for his pocket from me for his trouble. Thank you Tim! Also, thank you to Ron! As for Luke (Where ever he is now), he can pick a cheek, pucker up, and kiss my ass!!!!!! It feels good knowing that I got an evil, greedy SOB fired by exposing him!
