Absolutely the worst!!! I chose them for my family of 5. My husband and I each needed a tooth pulled. We are both still in extreme pain one and two weeks later. Probably due to the two plus hours it took for each extraction. Pulling and rocking for 2 hours!!! Both of us. And the best is that during mine when I just about flew out of the chair after they failed to adequately numb me, Dr Gravitte was called in to finish. Wow! Where do I start?! Dr. Gravitte and Associates is an absolutely gorgeous office. It is so tastefully decorated and makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. Everything is so clean and in such great condition, you know they really take pride in the office. From the moment you call in and talk to one of the wonderful ladies on the phone (Taylor, or Brandi) you feel welcome. They make the scheduling process a piece of cake! When you walk in, you'll most likely receive a warm greeting from Darla! Everyone loves Darla! She's the sweetest! They have beverages you can grab before or after Taylor comes to take you on a tour of the office! My favorite part of the tour is being able to see all the dental suites and their different names! If you're lucky, you'll get to spend some time in Maui! ;) They even give you a new patient gift! How nice is that?! I LOVE my koozie, cup, chapstick, and all my goodies! I use them all the time! They really value customer service here and making sure you're comfortable. Have you see their comfort menu?! This office truly changes the way you will think about going to the dentist. The chairs are massage chairs with heat! You can watch movies with their super cool movie goggles, snuggle up with a blanket and pillow, get some aroma therapy eye pillows, noise canceling headphones, and relax while you know you're getting top notch dentistry! The hygienists(Bethany, Kristy, and Whittley) are amazing at educating you about your oral health and how it directly relates to the rest of your body! They are so knowledgeable, gentle, and compassionate. They do SO much more than just clean your teeth! Dr. Gravitte (and his associates) are some of the most genuine, caring, kind, and talented doctors in the world! He also has a doctor for root canals and oral surgery come to the office so you don't have to go to other places! So convenient! I am blown away at their level of care. All of the assistants truly care about you and are so great at calming fears and anxiety. I feel confident referring my friends and family to this office and I honestly can't wait to go back! If you live in Mt. Airy or anywhere near by, and haven't been to this office, you're truly missing out! They have patient appreciation events(with prizes!) and are constantly involved and giving back to the community. This is a business that makes you feel good about supporting. BONUS!: During the summer they have a valet who will WASH your car while you're there! What?!? AMAZING! No one else will do that! Guaranteed! Dr. Gravitte is the most GENEROUS and KIND hearted business owner in Mt. Airy-guaranteed. The amount of time and money he has donated to the community in a variety of ways is incredible. He has put his life into this big beautiful building to create the best experience possible for every patient. Ex: free car detailing at visits! Yearly dentistry from the heart events, education at the local schools, and that just names a few. They all put patients first and care so much about patient care that they do not allow insurance companies to dictate the treatment you receive! I think this tells you everything you REALLY need to know about Dr. Gravitte and the entire team here. They are the best of the best and this is from someone with prior dental experience(for 5 years) with a careers that allows me to travel to dental offices around the world. I never dread going to the dentist for my routine cleanings. The staff are all wonderful and efficient, and prove time and again that you can have fun even when you're getting your teeth polished. Wait time in the lobby is minimal, and there is always a nice selection of complimentary Keurig coffee. read more

Great Staff from the first encounter of the Front desk staff to the Dental hygienist to Dr. Gravitte who goes out of this way to make sure his patients are well taken care of. Absolutely the WORST dental practice I have ever been to! The reviews are on a Dr Gravitte, however you will probably NEVER see him. I was a patient there for almost 2 years, passed from dentist to dentist, spent over 13,000.00 and was dismissed as a patient because I wanted the work done correctly. Had appointments with Dr Gravitte several times, always either cancelled or upon arriving would be told I was seeing someone else. This practice is out for one thing only, to make as much money from you they can, do a poor job and then dismiss you! I was told he was NOT seeing any more patients today BUT a friend called and yes why sure they would be happy to see her! Another one of the MANY lies I have been told!!! BE VERY CAREFUL! You go in with a mouth full of teeth and when they are done with you you'll be lucky to have any!!! Their motto is something like "dentistry with a heart" ha! What a joke! This is a long overdue, "THANK YOU!" to Dr. Gravitte and his team. YOU ALL are FIRST RATE and I can't truly thank you enough for the care and patience you showered on me during my "emergency" visit back in January. And, to everyone reading this review, I honestly thought there had to be a "catch" - the place, the staff and the care was ABOVE and BEYOND anything I've ever experienced. It seemed too good to be true but the truth is they really are, "Dentistry With A Heart". My situation was unique from Dr. Gravitte's regular patients because he was not my dentist. I was literally in the middle of an emergency situation while on a return trip home to Pennsylvania from Georgia. I was desperate and in excruciating pain with a tooth that needed to be extracted but had been delayed by me. So, I knew nothing of Dr. Gravitte or his team but what I did know was how much I loved Mount Airy, NC and its people. So, if you have to find a dentist asap (and a nice one, at that), this is the best place find one. Dr. Gravitte was incredibly patient with my back and forth - "Should I have it extracted now? Or, drive home 10 more hours and have it done there?" No pressure at all from him - he left it up to me and was so NICE, as was Darla, Courtney and Chelsea. He extracted the tooth in less than a minute and then I was embarrassed at the hour I took to make the decision to pull it. Thank you, again. Dr Gravitte is one of the best dentists that I have ever been blessed to have as my doctor.....

I've gone to Dr. Gravitte for several years and have had no complaints until the last time I was there. They gave me the woman partner that he had working with him. She was to repair my front tooth that needed bonding. First she took several X-rays which I felt I didn't need, but I said ok. After the X-rays, she said I had a very slight crack in my back tooth. Please understand, I had absolutely no pain.. Nothing was wrong I felt, with that tooth. She kept telling me that it would get worse and all these other extreme things that could happen. I finally said ok, repair it.. While she was doing that, the air hose from the drill slipped out, not once, not twice, but three times.It hit that tooth all three times..With the medication she gave me, I couldn't feel anything until the next day.. I called, they saw me, tried to fix it because it was now really cracked..I even had a talk with Dr Gravitte about it. Yes, he was sorry, but there was nothing he could do about it..I tried not to pay the bill through discover, but the dentist had written a long page to the discover people about how she was so great and all the medical training she had,and knew what she was doing. I however had no medical training. I now have to have a root canal in that tooth that she cracked.. I also see that he has moved out of his previous building and I do believe she no longer works with him. So, please beware of who your going to see there.. If it's the woman dentist..
