I am 71 and an avid e-bike rider putting in 60 to 80 miles a week, so when my knee issue flared up unexpectedly, kept me off my e-bike, and began to adversely impact my other day to day activities, I became concerned that maybe I was headed for something complicated and unpleasant. Dr. Pereles took one look at the x rays and said it was just some arthritis and nothing structural. He was wonderful and gave me all the time and attention I could ask for. We discussed a couple of treatment options, and I opted for the cortisone shot. Just as he said, the relief was nearly immediate and one day later I was back to riding for the first time in two weeks. Dr. Pereless first treated me probably 20 years ago for torn meniscus in both knees. Over the course of six months he performed two separate very successful outpatient surgeries on me to deal with those issues. I just want to stop and thank Dr. Pereles for his expert care and "bedside" manner. It feels so good to not be in pain and able to go about my normal routine. Thank you again.

The Centers for Advanced Orthopedics is a scumbag operation, funneling patients in and out as fast…read moreas possible, attempting to add on extra charges after-the-fact, lying about paperwork being sent out, and then lying ON the paperwork about it being 'past due'. They are unmistakably driven by profit over patient care, and are a perfect encapsulation of what's wrong with the American medical industry. I had 1 appointment with Dr. Keeling. He was late. He then rushed through our appointment as fast as humanly possible, spending maybe 6 or 7 minutes with me. He told me I had some medical-jargon-named condition in my knee, and that I should start PT in their PT office ASAP, ideally that day. He then tried to leave at the point in the appointment where a good doctor would then sit and talk me through the condition, what I should do, what I should expect, etc. But no, he didn't even tell me the used name (arthritis), and provided no helpful advice or guidance going forward. He just wanted me signed up for PT and he wanted the appointment OVER. So I got home and had to google all of the information that a good doctor would have provided, and, ya know, trust that what I'm finding on the internet is sound medical advice. That would have been enough for a 1-star review, but there's more scumbaggery. Within days of the appointment, I started receiving urgent emails from their office claiming I had an Overdue Balance with them. After getting 5 or 6 of these emails without having gotten a physical bill for them for anything, I called in (they don't have an email address). The woman who answered assured me that the physical bill had been sent out and I would see it in a few days at the most. Several MONTHS go by, and I receive nothing except more urgent emails. Today, the physical bill finally arrived 3 months after the appointment. The bill claims a SECOND co-payment is owed, and that I am 60 days past due. It's this kind of used-car-salesmen nonsense that keeps people, in general, hesitant to go to doctors at all. So my advice would be to stay far, far away from this profit center and Dr. Keeling.

i'm so regretful that I had spine surgery with Dr Goldsmith on 10/14/24. I was unable to stand…read moreanywhere approaching straight or walk. THis matter was taken care of in the surgery. However, immediately upon waking up from the surgery I had excruciating pain in my right leg and foot. I had an MRI and was told it was a hematoma and would go away in 6 weeks. THe hematoma went away but the pain did NOT. I got to the point where I was unable to walk or stand, period. I could not leave my house except to go to doctor's appointments. I could not walk ev en with a cane. I continued to go see DR Goldsmith and his PA Carl Durias, who basically minimized my pain and blew me off. He NEVER seemed curious about what might be going on. They kept offering me more and more medications which really didn't help with the pain and were very sedating. He said I had "complex pain syndrome", what the hell is that? He told me to go to a pain physician in town who is using a new nerve conductor called "the Scrambler" to the tune of $3500 (not paid for my insurance). I went 2X and when I got my CT scan results I stopped. My problems were way beyond "The Scrambler. In March 2025, I met with 2 Neurosurgeons and had a CT scan and another MRI at that time. From studying the CT scan and looking at the screws in my back were loose, there were 2 spinal fractures , severe stenosis with nerve compression .Both of the Neurosurgeons agreed upon the diagnoses and the procedure. I got operated again on 4/4/2025, with Dr Louis Chang, less than 6 months after my first surgery. Dr Chang had to perform a bigger surgery to revise MISTAKES Dr Goldsmith had made, and then some more. As soon as I woke up from my 2nd surgery, my 24/7 excruciating right leg pain was GONE!!!!. Goldsmith was negligent in his treatment of me. Why didn't HE order a CT scan when I was in so much pain for so long? Why. because he just didn't care. Maybe he didbn't want to see how he screwed up???? THis was and is the worst medical experience I have ever had. I hope my writing this will discourage you from having him operate on you or a loved one. Four. months out from my 2 surgery I am walking 2 miles, and have my life back. If I had not sought out some other consultations I would be where I was, 24/7 pain, not being able to walk and stuck in my house.

After carefully examining my foot and my orthotic Dr Firestone felt that a modification to my orthotic would help resolve the problem. Dr Firestone personally sent a picture to the orthotic manufacturer detailing exactly what he wanted done. He will contact me when they are ready.
