I ultimately left Zach Taylor due to a lack of transparency around commission policies…read more In my case, two commissions totaling $1,360 were not paid based on a six-month post-closing rule that was not disclosed to me until after the deadline had already passed. I emailed about the commission within the six-month period, but this rule was not mentioned at that time. During my time there, I was also asked to sign two different ICA agreements. The first did not include this six-month rule, while a later version was nearly identical but added it. This created confusion and, for me, eroded trust. Since moving my license, I've closed four deals and significantly reduced my fees. To date, I've saved $2,437 - $990 in monthly fees, $700 in client fees, and another $747 in transaction fees. I'm much happier at a brokerage with clear policies, minimal fees and better alignment with my business model. For agents who prioritize clearly disclosed policies and consistent agreements, this is something to review carefully. If anyone considering this brokerage has questions about my experience, I'm happy to share more privately.
