The office recently moved a few hundred feet into another complex. I requested a change through Yelp HQ last month that continues to be pending. The services my two children received are exams and wisdom teeth extraction. Dr. Quigg and staff have been wonderful. They accept most insurance and are happy to get insurance obligation info for their patients. In my case the cost was minimal for their services. Cannot recommend Dr. Quigg and his office enough.

So in my ortho treatment I was referred here to do just a supernumerary tooth removal of a baby tooth that never came up to the surface. But, I've never had surgery done before (4 year old experience doesn't count in my book as an experience to tell about if I can't remember the moment myself right? Right.) so, I of course was nervous that I had to get this done in order to start my orthodontist care. So, I also had 5 wisdom teeth... FIVE!! So, I'm like "what the heck, get them all pulled at once" because I'm one of the toughest gals out here that I know. Everything went great with the consultation and before I knew it I had the official extraction appt booked for 6 teeth removal. I of course grew anxious and hella nervous as the days moved onward and I called almost every other day for some comfort. When I tell you that the staff was there at my beck and call ready to bring me the best comfort and reassurance they could possibly have given me prior to the appt would be an UNDERSTATEMENT. They happily answered all of my questions and put down all of my worries with such grace and compassion. I could literally hear the staff on the other end patiently and kindly access my needs. I truly believe that that alone worked most of my nerves down. And oh man, when the time came to get it done, they literally held my hand and walked me through the whole thing before I was in and out of slumber (I chose to go to sleep).Oh and 6 teeth removal took about 45min to an hour! DOCTOR DUNCAN AND HIS STAFF WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST FOR MY FIRST TIME HAVING SURGERY DONE. I can not express enough how much of a positive experience you guys have given me. In 2016 I had my upper jaw reconstructed/realigned by Dr. Mueller. I thought he was a godsend at the time because he made me love my smile/face. 11 months later, according to him, "my body rejected the bone graft placed." And I quickly went into surgery to fix that under his care. 4 years after initial surgery, I blew my nose and a screw comes out followed by bleeding that wouldn't stop for awhile. I called and I was told "this is normal." 3 years ago as I type this, I had swelling in my face and was living in Nevada at the time so I found a new oral maxillary facial surgeon out there and he had to put me in nearly emergency surgery to remove some hardware that was infected. This new surgeon also stated he never heard of a screw coming out of a nose after a jaw surgery. Sometime between then and now: two root canals because at least two teeth's roots were hit during the 2016 surgery and my teeth were now dying. August 2024: I had a draining fistula in my mouth near my scar tissue from the previous surgeries. I flew from Virginia to Nevada to see the new surgeon because no surgeon in Virginia will take on my case. Again I went into emergency surgery. We quickly found that Dr. Mueller put a screw into my #7 tooth (one that was attempted to save by root canal). My body had been rejecting the tooth so badly that the infection ate so much bone. I now have a huge hole in my mouth from the bone loss. 2 weeks later, I have to go into emergency extraction of that tooth. Last week, we find another infection above tooth #10 from a screw being drilled into it (the other tooth that was attempted to save by root canal). So we are planning on extracting that one in early 2025. Today, I meet with multiple doctors/surgeons nearly weekly and across the country to try to find a plan to help the bone loss and find a permanent option for the missing teeth. Many doctors/surgeons nearly hold my hand as they say "I'm sorry you're going through this and will continue to." I've had surgeons say, "I wish you found us back in 2016." I was never warned I would deal with this almost the rest of my life. I paid Dr. Mueller out of pocket because "insurance says it's cosmetic." I've paid $100's of thousands on my mouth and have probably double that in costs ahead of me because of Dr. Mueller's work. If you've made it this far, get a second opinion away from Dr. Mueller. My surgery by him is my biggest life regret.

So after researching on my insu providers website I chose to come see Dr. Mueller because he has high reviews on my providers site from other patients. AND MAN ARE THEY RIGHT! I drove the two hours and met other happy patients that had some very severe issues which Dr. Mueller fixed and they were there for follow ups. Was told there was nothing needed as I'm an adult...after months of further issues, called back using the referral that I already have in place, refused service and told they do not recommend any of those therapies to patients unless explicitly asked. Which I did ask the day of surgery and it was not documented. The nurse then acted like I was the problem for being upset and attempted to hang up on me after asking me further questions, simply asking for proper documentation to take to the VA. Told their clinic does not do that and never has. How can a surgery clinic not put in requests or recommendations for proper follow up care after surgery? Or at least acknowledge the frustration without making it completely worse before blaming me- citing their staff is new and doesn't understand the process. Train your people. Document properly when patients ask about these issues before being upset that they are upset because you refuse to schedule or send documentation to the VA.
