The office was impressively clean, and I felt welcome the moment I walked through the door. I was especially delighted to meet their in‑office service animal, Cosmo--calming, adorable, and truly a highlight of my visit. Dr. Tucker's team was warm, professional, and attentive. The front desk technician greeted me with a genuine smile and assisted me almost immediately. Every staff member introduced themselves with kindness and professionalism, which made me feel well cared for throughout my visit. The X‑ray technician was efficient and pleasant, making the process quick and comfortable. Dr. Tucker conducted a thorough examination and was transparent about my treatment plan and associated costs. I also have to highlight the hygienist--I've never had someone so knowledgeable, precise, and informative. She explained things I had never heard before, leaving me feeling empowered and confident in how to care for my beautifully cleaned teeth. Her expertise is a true testament to the team's dedication to patient education and high‑quality care. I genuinely cannot wait to return for another 5‑star experience. Amazing job, Dr. Tucker and team. With this level of care, I'm not sure why anyone would have complaints. This office truly knows how to take care of their patients

I have several dental issues that need attention, including a crown adjustment. During the discussion, I was informed that the dentist would charge me the full amount for adjusting my crown, as if it were a new one. I was told the dentist would need to remove my crown. You do not need to remove a crown to do an adjustment. A new crown is 1,500- 2,000 dollars so that amount for an adjustment is outrageous!!! They highly recommended that I visit the dentist who had placed the crown on me. This was the first time I had ever heard such a recommendation. I believe that whoever scheduled the appointments should have informed me or the office well in advance, at least more than two days before the appointment.

Fantastic physician and staff at Coastal Virginia Oral Maxillofacial Surgery After several…read moreinteractions specifically with Dr. Quigg with two children I'm very comfortable with a full 5 stars. The office recently moved a few hundred feet into another complex. I requested a change through Yelp HQ last month that continues to be pending. The services my two children received are exams and wisdom teeth extraction. Dr. Quigg and staff have been wonderful. They accept most insurance and are happy to get insurance obligation info for their patients. In my case the cost was minimal for their services. Cannot recommend Dr. Quigg and his office enough.

OMG. I HAD WISDOM TEETH EXTRACTED!! Where do I begin? SKIP TO NEXT PARAGRAPH FOR SUMMARY!! Okay,…read moreso I've only had surgery ONCE in my life and I was only 4 years old so I don't remember enough of it to consider it an experience to tell about. So in my ortho treatment I was referred here to do just a supernumerary tooth removal of a baby tooth that never came up to the surface. But, I've never had surgery done before (4 year old experience doesn't count in my book as an experience to tell about if I can't remember the moment myself right? Right.) so, I of course was nervous that I had to get this done in order to start my orthodontist care. So, I also had 5 wisdom teeth... FIVE!! So, I'm like "what the heck, get them all pulled at once" because I'm one of the toughest gals out here that I know. Everything went great with the consultation and before I knew it I had the official extraction appt booked for 6 teeth removal. I of course grew anxious and hella nervous as the days moved onward and I called almost every other day for some comfort. When I tell you that the staff was there at my beck and call ready to bring me the best comfort and reassurance they could possibly have given me prior to the appt would be an UNDERSTATEMENT. They happily answered all of my questions and put down all of my worries with such grace and compassion. I could literally hear the staff on the other end patiently and kindly access my needs. I truly believe that that alone worked most of my nerves down. And oh man, when the time came to get it done, they literally held my hand and walked me through the whole thing before I was in and out of slumber (I chose to go to sleep).Oh and 6 teeth removal took about 45min to an hour! DOCTOR DUNCAN AND HIS STAFF WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST FOR MY FIRST TIME HAVING SURGERY DONE. I can not express enough how much of a positive experience you guys have given me. They really did great and took GREAT care of me! Thank you all so very much. Having been here from WA state since April of 2024 I will admit that going to a new place will always be scary but I'm so glad Dr. Sarah Orthodontics referred me to you all!

I had family members and close friends continually ask me how this happened and quite honestly it made me feel quite insecure about my face and general body image. I became so insecure, unhappy, and uncomfortable that I felt genuinely bad taking photos with family and friends. Dr. Mueller did an absolutely phenomenal job at correcting my jaw and subsequently - how I view myself in the mirror and my overall image. I am so pleased with the experience with Dr. Mueller and his staff, the speedy and near-painless recovery process, and the results. In the beginning, I was quite hesitant with going forward with the surgery. There was a bit of anxiety on how I was expected to look afterwards, how difficult and long that I thought the recovery process would be, and the potential for complications. After my initial consultation all these worries were minimized as the result of his very friendly and professional staff, Dr. Mueller explaining in exquisite detail what and how he planned to fix my jaw, and his extremely high success rate and experience. I'm thoroughly impressed by the overall experience and I urge anybody who is on the fence about surgery to schedule a consultation. I'm so happy that my face looks normal now and I'm not constantly worrying about how my face looks to others. I can feel that this surgery has boosted my confidence and I just wish that I had done it earlier.

I'm not much of a reviewer but I thought my experience could help prevent someone from going…read morethrough what I continue to go through years later because of this doctor. In 2016 I had my upper jaw reconstructed/realigned by Dr. Mueller. I thought he was a godsend at the time because he made me love my smile/face. 11 months later, according to him, "my body rejected the bone graft placed." And I quickly went into surgery to fix that under his care. 4 years after initial surgery, I blew my nose and a screw comes out followed by bleeding that wouldn't stop for awhile. I called and I was told "this is normal." 3 years ago as I type this, I had swelling in my face and was living in Nevada at the time so I found a new oral maxillary facial surgeon out there and he had to put me in nearly emergency surgery to remove some hardware that was infected. This new surgeon also stated he never heard of a screw coming out of a nose after a jaw surgery. Sometime between then and now: two root canals because at least two teeth's roots were hit during the 2016 surgery and my teeth were now dying. August 2024: I had a draining fistula in my mouth near my scar tissue from the previous surgeries. I flew from Virginia to Nevada to see the new surgeon because no surgeon in Virginia will take on my case. Again I went into emergency surgery. We quickly found that Dr. Mueller put a screw into my #7 tooth (one that was attempted to save by root canal). My body had been rejecting the tooth so badly that the infection ate so much bone. I now have a huge hole in my mouth from the bone loss. 2 weeks later, I have to go into emergency extraction of that tooth. Last week, we find another infection above tooth #10 from a screw being drilled into it (the other tooth that was attempted to save by root canal). So we are planning on extracting that one in early 2025. Today, I meet with multiple doctors/surgeons nearly weekly and across the country to try to find a plan to help the bone loss and find a permanent option for the missing teeth. Many doctors/surgeons nearly hold my hand as they say "I'm sorry you're going through this and will continue to." I've had surgeons say, "I wish you found us back in 2016." I was never warned I would deal with this almost the rest of my life. I paid Dr. Mueller out of pocket because "insurance says it's cosmetic." I've paid $100's of thousands on my mouth and have probably double that in costs ahead of me because of Dr. Mueller's work. If you've made it this far, get a second opinion away from Dr. Mueller. My surgery by him is my biggest life regret.

I have been a patient since 2021 and Dr…read more Downs and her team have significantly improved the quality of my dental health and also my life. This is a beautiful practice, it looks like a dental spa. However it is also a cutting edge medical dental facility. I have severe periodontal disease, the treatments that have been made available to me are new innovative and they work! I have been very blessed to have received care from many of the folks at this practice, Christi is the hygienist that I see every 3 months and she has been absolutely phenomenal. In partnership with Dr. Downs she has introduced some very advanced and effective treatments into my care plan. I have been very impressed by her dedication to finding ways to help me. Everyone at this practice is extremely kind, my comfort is always a top priority and even procedures that I feel like could be painful are not. Dr. Downs and her team have always made sure that I am totally comfortable. I would say that I laugh more and enjoy my time at the practice more than most people would associate with a visit to the dentist's office. The billing staff are also very knowledgeable, I feel like they take extra steps to ensure as much of the costs are covered by my insurance as possible and there are never any surprises. I highly recommend Downs Dental Care, going there is both an enjoyable and effective experience!
