When I told him about the trip he made it happen and I was able to get it done with ample time to heal. I was scared but everyone was so kind and honestly made me feel really assured. I've never gone under before but it truly felt like time travel. The ladies who prepped me were gentle and I fell right asleep and then it was done! I'm older so I was really scared about the recovery but they say if your surgeon is good you'll feel fine and twos days out I feel great! Barely any swelling and hardly any pain! I believe if I have any complications in the future I'll be taken care of here!

I had severe pain after the surgery, went back once to be dismissed with "yea it's going to hurt" and a second time a couple days later to find out I had an infection and dry socket (which I had to tell the doctor I had, rather than him asking me questions to figure out it was dry socket). I consistently felt like my concerns about my pain were being dismissed, I was not being treated with empathy or concern, and worst of all I felt like I had to fight to be heard. Maybe the infection and dry socket were just my own bad luck, but I do want to note I did everything by the book after the procedure during the healing period (did not use straws, did my washes, ate carefully, etc). Anyway I started a 7 day antibiotic treatment for the infection. After the 7 days, I expressed that I felt mostly better but still feel like there is an infection or that something is just not right and I'm still having pain, on my right upper tooth in particular, and he dismissed that saying "no it looks fine, yeah it'll hurt" and then just shrugged. Fast forward to today, I recently had a CT scan after a couple months of right-sided sinus pain and pressure (on the same side I expressed concern about) showing severe blockage and inflammation, likely due to that initial infection that had never cleared from the extraction. So it is frustrating to know I am now dealing with a longer term issue due to his dismissal of my concerns. An argument could be made that I should've came back when I started having sinus issues but in all honesty, he made me feel so dismissed, frustrated and uncomfortable I did not want to return to this clinic. Two stars however because the other staff who took care of me, such as on the day of my surgery and then to check me in during my post-op visits, were super super nice and friendly, and made me feel comfortable, and made sure I was informed. Unfortunately I forgot their names but I want to make sure to give credit where credit is due. I appreciated the transparency on how much everything would cost too.

Surgery went well, almost healed 95% 7 days post op. Staff was friendly and fully explained procedure before and after surgery. I also received a call a day after surgery to ask how I was doing and to go over post op instructions again. I was so glad he called cause I didn't remember any instructions right after surgery. I…read morewas able to schedule a consult right after New Year's (a consult is required before extraction); however options for appointments are generally limited because they only do consults in the afternoon. Before my consult, I asked my dentist to send over my X-rays; I called Dr. Mennitt's office to confirm they were sent over and they were able to locate them quickly. My consult was around 2 in the afternoon on a Monday; the office was pretty empty when I got there and I was shown to the exam room soon after check-in to talk to Dr. Stirling. This was later the same room in which I had my extraction. Dr. Stirling was friendly and knowledgeable. I was also given a brief tour including the "recovery room," which I appreciated later because after my procedure I woke up there with no memory of how I got there; if I hadn't had the tour during the consult, I wouldn't have known where I was. I got pretty lucky and was able to schedule my procedure for Friday the next week. However, there was only 1 appointment available that week by the time I scheduled. I was told if I didn't book that appointment, there might not be any appointments for a few weeks after. When I went in for my procedure, the office was much busier and the waiting room was crowded. I was checked in quickly but then waited for a long time; I wasn't called in until about 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I was comfortable throughout my procedure and experienced no pain. The staff and Dr. Stirling set me at ease, although there was a mishap with the IV, as I guess they had trouble with my left arm and had to try again on my right. I was given a "goodie bag" with chapstick, gauze, a syringe, and a hot/cold pack upon departure. I will say that I had to google how to use the syringe, as the instructions didn't really describe how to use it, or how long to keep using it after the procedure. Billing was a pretty simple process for me; I don't think they do electronic payments so I mailed a check when I was invoiced. Recovery was pretty painless for me and I was eating solid food a week later. I know everyone's experience with oral surgery is unique, and based on specific medical circumstances and luck, but I had a much better and less painful experience than some of my friends who had procedures at other offices, and I attribute this largely to Dr. Stirling's skill. I would feel comfortable coming back here if I needed any other oral surgery procedures; my experience wasn't perfect, but it was generally positive and much better than I'd expected.

The facility seemed very cramped as if they needed a new location. Prior to my visit and thereafter I heard someone who was threatening my teeth. I hope it wasn't coming from this dentist. They sent me a bill 3 times after my insurance had disenrolled me, which was inconvenient.

My wife has called Dr. Gluckman after hours and he is always willing to answer any questions we've got. He even came in on an off day, AFTER HOURS, ON A WEEKEND, to help with an emergency/accident we had. If that isn't above and beyond the call of duty I don't know what is. Dr. Gluckman loves his patients and it shows. I always recommend Dr. Gluckman to my friends and neighbors. You won't find a better dentist. Period.
