Let me start by saying that Dr. Eisinger is a very good salesman and actor. At 30 yrs old I started to entertain the idea of getting braces and so I decided to pursue a consultation with his office solely based off of the excellent reviews that they have. At the appointment I was expecting to get an idea of what needed to be done and a total cost of treatment, which I did. In addition-I also got pushed into making my next appointment to start treatment, mind you that costed over $7,000- yes this was ultimately my choice but I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't put on the spot to make that next appointment. Doctor Eisinger reassured me how successful my treatment with their team would be, and so I decided to make the commitment to start treatment with them. Within the first few months, I experienced what seemed to be students that worked on me that didn't have a clue what they were doing. My appointments were long, painful, and uncomfortable- one that was supposed to take 1.5 hrs took 4HRS!! Periodically there were awkward arguments and tension amongst him and his team, as well as regular miscommunications that made for very uncomfortable sessions in a whole other way- at least this did seem to improve a bit as time went on. Dr.Eisinger made sure to call me every time after my appointments in the very beginning, creating that personable experience effect in the starting months, which at first did seem above and beyond. As for my office experiences, I was there in the beginning seemingly every other week from the amount of brackets that kept falling off, some which would fall off when they would change my wires as well- which he always turns around the patients..."be careful what you're eating etc.."- yeah buddy, it's my fault.. I'm chewing on rocks all the while paying $7,000+ and looking forward to our next painful and last minute encounter, seriously SUCH an inconvenience. Not to mention that they eventually sprung on me that I have to start paying for these broken brackets even though I brought the bracket in to be reused??- $65, per bracket that are falling off at random?!! I'm not an unreasonable person, I understand that someone has got to pay for these things and I am grateful for them covering the cost of a few of them(as they should have) but when they are popping off every other week, whether during eating(normal foods- not hard) or during brushing, I have to think that they were not put on properly to begin with. I'm not exaggerating when i say most of my visits were anticipatingly painful and feared as I lay there white knuckled as he surely doesn't care what sort of pain you are in. I know I'm not the only one who had experienced this there either. Almost every time I was there, you could hear someone in his chair moaning from pain/discomfort. I had braces as a teenager and I never remember them being that painful and unpleasant. This doctor does a great job at ignoring your pains and dodging your concerns, i could never seem to get a straight answer from him. And don't dare confront him about something he did or said about your treatment previously- he'll play dumb and say he never said or did that to avoid responsibility. It's worth mentioning that at my initial consultation conveniently he did not mention that at the end of my treatment I would still have significant gaps in my smile due to the small size of certain teeth- and that I would have to pay someone else to reshape those teeth/fill in the gaps. This seriously could've changed my whole approach and decision to paying thousands to getting braces. Honestly I just couldn't say enough about how much regret i have in getting swindled into treatment with his practice. I would not do it over and I'm hardly happy with my results nor do i feel the experience was worth any of the time, pain, and money. Please save yourself and loved ones from the disappointment and money trap of this practice. One good thing that I can say is that his team of women are really great- front desk not so kind, but the orthodontic gals were always very sweet, understanding, and gentle in working on you. Besides that, I honestly have no idea how he has the reviews that he does. I was really hoping that my money was going towards an honest, sincere, and gentle orthodontist- unfortunately i ended up with a money focused business man. read more

The decision to rectify what I deemed as a physical flaw in my appearance first required that I actually admit personally that I indeed had the character flaw known as vanity. The physical gap and flange-like flaring of my upper teeth though seemingly unnoticed by those closest and who saw me most frequently waged deeply in my mind as needing attention other than my own musing as a personal issue. Dr. Eisenger Orthodontist service first offered me the opportunity to fully understand the process and time to full grasp the personal sacrifice and cost to be incurred. I initially visited Dr. Eisenger several years earlier for the initial analysis of their task. I undertook the process with great trepidation as a fifty something year older wearing braces garners great attention and concern from family and friends and even sympathetic looks from kids. I mulled for a rather long period over my apparent vanity. I finally decided though selfish it would be worth the time and cost to truly own my smile. The entire process from analysis to execution was handled in the most professional, courteous and caring manner I would have ever desired. The office staff was appreciatively attentive each and every time and throughout each visit to either of Dr. Eisenger offices' located in Monterey, Marina and Carmel. They were cooperative and extremely understanding of the many time constraints and demands of my professional and personal life. Flexibility mattered highly as my work and personal life involves a great deal of travel and frequently highly overbooked days. I was most impressed with their personal approach to the overall care of their customers. The actual execution exceeded my highest expectation as the patient care and service from Dr. Eisenger and his staff evoked a sense of pure pleasure and pampering as a client. I admit the horror stories of the experiences of other friends and colleagues from their childhood, teen-age and even adult years riddled my mind with doubt regarding the amount and pain I might endure. I encountered an entirely different experience. Dr. Eisenger and his attentive staff explained each phase of the process so well that I was well arm and attuned to each potential discomfort. They offered understandable solutions and prepared me for those discomforts. I was most pleased with being armed with the advanced knowledge and forewarning of those, "pokey" wires which actually indicated the desired results were in progress. Each of Dr. Eisenger's staff consisted of extremely beautiful orthodontists assistants, inwardly and outwardly, whose demeanor depicted the most professional and caring staff. Each staff member relayed a sense of true professionalism and in-depth understanding of the process and their profession. One of the most enduring memories I have sustained regarding my experience was the actual coaching and mentoring Dr. Eisenger regularly conducted with his staff. It conjured the imagery of the most successful entrepreneurs of our time, where each success is acknowledged and every encounter is an opportunity to succeed greater in the future. The highest compliments I can deliver regarding Dr. Eisenger,his staff and their overall operation was provided by another friend of mine himself a doctor, commented, that Dr. Eisenger has his operation dialed in, as his staff performs as team, in synch throughout the entire process. I determine the success of every endeavor based on the results as well as the journey to reach that goal. The journey was handled at the highest level. The manner in which it was executed was equally high. The results are clearly evident to me as I am much more confident in my smile and personal appearance. However the most appreciative accounting of the evidence of the results came from a complete stranger who while attending one of the more recent festivals at the fairgrounds, motioned for me to come closer to their seat, where it was simply whispered, "You have perfect teeth". I have much respect for his entire office and staff as their work is most challenging and they provided a pleasant and professional approach to obtaining personal satisfaction for their customers' appearance. read more

When my son's pediatric dentist informed me that my son, Nathan and his brother both needed orthodontia the first thing I did was look in the yellow pages of the phone book and picked out three orthodontists to meet for evaluations. Out of the three, Dr. Eisinger struck me as the most professional, explained the procedure thoroughly, and explained that my sons would be holding a tongue depressor between their lips to strengthen their jaw muscles. Dr. Eisinger was very friendly. He had three office locations which I knew were all easy to drive to, easy to park, and would be easier to get appointments to work around my sons' school schedules during middle school. Dr. Eisinger called me at home in the evening of the first day that the boys had their braces put on by him. This was certainly a reassuring phone call and an extra effort on the part of Dr. Eisinger which I appreciated. After the braces were removed months later, Dr. Eisinger still saw the boys every few months for checkups for their retainers. But, Dr. E was also checking their teeth for any additional movement. At one point, Dr. Eisinger informed me that Nathan needed corrective jaw surgery because his jaw had kept growing and his teeth were not aligned properly. So, we waited for Nathan to stop growing, wear a second set of braces on his teeth for one year (during college) and then have the jaw surgery. Dr. Eisinger coordinated all the treatments, and surgery with Dr. Joseph Fullmer and Dr. Phillip Bhaskar. It has been a year-and-a-half since Nathan's braces and jaw surgery. His teeth are aligned, have not moved, his bite is great, and his smile is beautiful. Dr. Eisinger will continue to check Nathan's jaw and retainer when Nathan is home during his college breaks. Dr. Eisinger and his staff are a wonderful group of people! I had my Damon braces on for one year, and the entire process was simple and easy (for ME that is). Dr. Eisinger is truly one of the most sincere and kind doctors I've ever met (and let me tell you, I've had many with all my moves). He was genuinely concerned for my personal and health needs in regards to my teeth, and made sure that I was comfortable with the results with each visit I had. Also, if you're concerned about finances, the Eisinger office is very flexible with various types of payment plans that encouraged my decision on choosing this practice. EISINGER STAFF, I WILL TRULY MISS YOU! If I felt any pain or was unsure of something, his staff was always very helpful (thanks Gabby!!!). They were always prepared for my questions and needs, and was always available throughout the week to provide me with any extra assistance necessary. I had great conversations with every visit, and felt veryy veryyy at home in their very casual and fun environment. I did my research and looked into a lot of orthodontists around the Monterey area, but never felt the right connection with the ones that I visited. I immediately was set for this office from my first call to my consultation with Dr. Eisinger because he provided great information, and took the time to look at all areas of concern (which were many) -- jaw bite, jaw aches, removal of spacing, pain questions, etc. I don't regret my decision at all! As an adult, it was a huge decision to get orthodontic work. I was nervous about the process and how much it would cost, along with the discomfort that might come along with it. I settled on Dr. Eisinger after considering a few other options - he put me at ease right away, making me feel comfortable immediately, with his enthusiasm and sincerity, and laid out the plan of action very clearly and simply. The entire staff has always been so welcoming and helpful, I've always felt so supported and like I always know what's going on. I was so impressed with how quickly I saw such dramatic results. At my 6 month appointment, I looked at my pictures from my very first day and I was shocked at the progress! After having 4 teeth removed, the gaps were already closing and the teeth that were misaligned had found newly straightened alignment. My appointments are always quick and painless and the staff is always great about doing what they can to work with changing schedules and last minute appointments. UPDATE! I've previously commented on what a wonderful job Dr. E. and his staff do. Well today I got my braces off after 2 & 1/2 years. WOW! I couldn't be more pleased! You should see the difference in my smile!!! When I started this process in February 2009, I was the first patient in Monterey to receive the Damon braces. My teeth were so crooked it looked like the Los Angeles freeway at rush hour. Now my teeth are nice and straight with the bite plane and bite curve all nicely in place the way teeth are supposed to be. The Damon braces system ROCKS! I never thought my teeth and smile could look so NICE. Dr. E. and his staff are the best professionals anywhere! You won't find a more knowledgeable, competent, and friendly staff than Dr. E and his team. Every single person on his staff knows their job and does it extremely well. Today was my final appointment with Dr. Eisinger and his staff. I've had the Damon system braces on my uppers and lowers for about 15 months for crowding and rotation. All I can say is "Wow"! Obviously, I could tell me teeth were straight with the braces on. But after looking in the mirror after the brackets were removed, I was shocked to see what an improvement the Damon system made to my smile and jawline. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Eisinger and his staff were extremely friendly, professional and went out of their way to answer any questions I had or address any issues that surfaced (one of my brackets popped off and they shifted their schedule to get me in the office within an hour). My treatment was complicated due to an implant I had to replace an extracted tooth. Dr. Eisinger personally contacted the other two Drs to discuss my treatment plan, and projected out timeframes that would be best for all the procedures associated with the implant. I can't emphasize enough how pleased I am with the results. I have no reservations whatsoever about bringing my daughters to Dr. Eisinger for orthodontic treatment when the time comes. read more

I was referred to Dr. Eisinger by my dentist and it has been a very easy ride so far. The office is very welcoming and timely, everyone is unbelievably nice, and you feel like you are doing a good job even if you know you are a slacker (oh those elastics!). There is very little discomfort associated with treatment, you feel pulling rather than pain, and for a 36 year old you would think that teeth should be stubborn and uncooperative. I was warned by so many people to take Tylenol and stick to soups, but really the Damon system works in a very gentle way. it produced a big result in just under 6 months (according to my own flossing experience and excitement displayed by my dentist during my scheduled cleaning), and very often I forget I even have braces. It is easier to clean my teeth now, it is easier for my dentist to access some areas that have never seen the light of day before, and we are not even half way through the treatment. I am very much curious to see the end result. But so far it had been a pretty cool experience :) yay for Dr. E. If my son needs ortho care, he for sure will go there. read more

Hands down one of the most unprofessional and money hungry practices I have encountered here in Carmel. I called to schedule an appointment for a retainer adjustment by Dr. Eisinger who had make me an upper retainer. After the receptionist said that he doesn't do adjustments which he has and is a typical standard for retainers, I was quoted a price for upper and lower retainers. Why am I being quoted a price on retainers when all I need is an adjustment ( standard). They put me on the phone with 3 different people at his office to tell me that HE does not do adjustments and I could go to a different ortho for that. So let me understand this. He made me a retainer and I have gone in previously for adjustments but NOW his office does not do that but they were more than happy to quote me for 2 new retainers????? Absolutely insane and he must be the only orthodontist in the world who does not allow patients who bought a retainer through him to get them adjusted for free. I have never experienced something quite like this. They could not keep their story straight on anything. Money hungry office. read more

I really wanted to get braces because my teeth were crooked, especially my front teeth. My friend recommended to go see Eisinger, he had gotten his braces from him too and he loved his results. So I went for an orientation on August 2014, and soon got my braces a week after. I was told that I would have braces for a period of about a year and a half, which I was happy because I've been told that the average time a person has braces is two years. The staff here are amazing and quick, they are also really nice and great at keeping you smiling. I had no problems with my braces, nothing broke or fell off. There were a couple times where the wire would poke my inner cheek, but that was an easy fix because they have a flexible schedule. Other than that, it was an overall great experience. I just got my braces removed beginning of February 2016, getting ready to wear retainers for a few months now. I'm really happy on how my teeth are looking right now. I really recommend Dr. Eisinger if you are looking to get braces, he and his crew will really take care of you and your teeth. read more

Both our children have completed treatment with Damon braces and received care from Dr. Eisinger and his staff. We had nothing but the best experience there. Both children had completely different issues, different treatment plans and phases over the course of 10 years between the 2 children. Everything was thoroughly explained, what was being done and why, how to care for the teeth and we were given lots of supplies to help with that. The office even gave our daughter an electric tooth brush to help with her specific issue. We really appreciated Dr. Eisinger calling our home in the evening to see if everything is going well after the brackets were put on in each phase. I also had Invisalign retainers for an alignment problem in my teeth. That process took a year, was fairly easy for me and the result has been wonderful. I'm very happy with the progress my teeth are making with the help of the Damon System and Dr. Eisinger. The Damon System really works! It works fast and with very little discomfort. I was worried that one of my teeth wasn't aligning right, but after they put on the finishing wire, like Dr. Eisinger and his staff had told me, my tooth aligned right away. It really is amazing how fast my teeth have moved. My son had braces as well and Dr. Eisinger corrected his terrible cross-bite in 2 weeks with very little discomfort to my son. It was impressive. I also am always impressed at how friendly, nice and accommodating the staff are. They are always willing to fit me and my children in at a time that is convenient for me or reschedule if I need to. Exceptionally happy with my braces and experience with Dr Eisinger. I am a 42-year-old patient who was having pain, grinding and wear issues due to the misalignment of my teeth. I felt like after having two kids that my teeth started moving and crowding. I wore my braces for 13 months with rubber bands. Now, my teeth are now locked in and feel terrific. Every time that I got an adjustment, I could feel my sinuses open up and jaw pressure subside. I like having retainers that are like mouth guards but my teeth are perfectly straight and aligned! The staff is friendly, prompt and the organization is very well run. He personally calls on the evening after every adjustment and checks in to see how you are doing. Originally went to a orthodontic and had my braces on for 3 years. No progress. I do not think he knew what he was doing. He wanted to remove 4 of my top and bottom molars and I did not want that so me and my mother found about Dr. Eisinger in Monterey and scheduled an appointment and was told I would have my braces on for a year and a half! I was extremely excited to have my braces on again because from what they told me the Damen system was designed to straighten out your teeth in a short time span without having to out any of my teeth! I was very relieved to hear none of my adult teeth were going to be pulled out! I am more than satisfied with the results! I got my braces on in May of 2014, after having to have 4 teeth pulled to fix all the crowding and just over a year of appointments and having to have the bracket on my crown put on about 7 times (that lies with my dentist though and the "nice" work he did with my crown) the results as of getting them off in June of 2016 are amazing! The Damon system was as fast as the Dr. explained. More than anything though I loved the staff, the ladies who worked alongside Dr. Eisinger were kind, welcoming, and were quick to do whatever they had to in order to assure my visit was good. The ladies at the desk were also amazing, helpful, and I always enjoyed talking with them when coming in or leaving. Great staff, great results, overall a good experience. read more

I am very please to say that Dr. Eisenger is my orthodontist. I have adult braces and he and his amazing staff have really taking care of my family so much. My son whom is 13, and also has braces, lives in Texas, just visiting here for the summer and broke Three of his brackets, needed emergency care. Not even being his own orthodontist and scheduling was completely full on a holiday weekend, like the Fourth of July, Dr. Eisenger and his staff fit my son in immediately and fixed his braces without any questions or anything. Dr. Eisinger is Wonderful! My 8 year old son has been a patient of his for more than a year now and he has done a wonderful job. We have gone through head gear, arch expander and now braces. . Dr. Eisinger is very knowoledable about choices of orthodontic care and explained everything prior to our beginning treatment. I had to call Dr. Eisinger on thanksgiving day because of a concern I had and he came in to his office just to check my son. He was not bothered at all for the after hours call, not somehting that you can say about many doctors. His staff is very friendly and courteous.
