I've had the opportunity to work professionally with Smith Roofing and Construction and have been…read morevery impressed with their level of professionalism and quality of work. They run a well-organized operation, communicate clearly throughout projects, and consistently deliver solid craftsmanship. Their team is knowledgeable, efficient, and committed to doing the job the right way. It's clear they take pride in their work and hold themselves to high standards when it comes to materials, installation, and overall project management. In the construction industry it can be difficult to find companies that are reliable and easy to work with, but Smith Roofing and Construction has proven to be both. I would confidently recommend them to homeowners and anyone looking for a dependable roofing contractor.

Many of the less flattering reviews here are absolutely correct. Glen is super responsive when…read moretalking to you about everything up to getting paid. He will say anything he needs to in order to get a sale. He boasts about how good he and his crew are, but then when you point out issues with the install, he won't respond to you anymore. I had my roof replaced on April 12th. The crew was pretty quick in installing the roof, and there were some minor cosmetic issues, like the fact that Glen ordered white drip edge to replace my black drip edge that was originally on the roof. I'm not a huge fan, and Glen offered to paint it to match after the fact. However, that never happened. That's not too big of a deal, as it is purely cosmetic and it's not that noticeable. What is a bigger deal is all the faulty workmanship and damage caused to my house that I found after the fact. In September, I climbed up in my attic to pull network cable for security cameras. When I got up there, I found my plumbing vent stack to be broken and set back in at a terrible angle. The roofers had pulled it out of its connection and not fixed it when putting the pipe boot on the roof. This caused the pipe to sit 6 inches shorter out of the roof than it did before, and will cause serious issues as we get into winter and snow. I climbed up on the roof to inspect that pipe, only to find that my gutters had been scratched and dented horribly, and that a number of brackets had been broken off, leaving my gutters barely hanging on. Finally there are a number of shingles that either did not have the nails driven deep enough, or were driven at poor angles, leaving shingles to pop and develop holes in them. I brought these issues up to Glen, and have followed up with him several times over the last 3 weeks, only to be ghosted. If this is what I can expect from his "5-year warranty", it speaks volumes for his poor workmanship.
