H-E-B Center at Cedar Park - Madagascar The Musical

H-E-B Center at Cedar Park

The Austin LOVB ladies played at the cedar park center. Such a great volleyball game! This center…read morehad lots of great good options from nachos to burgers, chicken strips and pizza conveniently priced between $13-$19, shaved ice and ice cream for about $15 , and adult beverages; large domestic beer $13, small for $8, and craft cocktails for $16 with a great selection of spirits. The restrooms are easy to find and very clean. And parking to the event was also convenient with a general price of $15 with a small walk to the main entrance or if you want closer parking there's a $40 option. Families and friends groups of all ages were cheering the teams on as they fought for victory. The HEB center is such a well organized facility to host various sport and entertainment events. If you are here for a basketball or volleyball game make sure you bring your jacket. The whole center is cold since the hokey team also uses this facility and be prepared to walk through security as you enter. The team members of the center are very friendly and help guide you to where you need to go. I really enjoyed watching a volleyball game here with friends. Our comfortable seats were easy to find by following all the section signs along the halls. This was overall a great experience and the perfect place to catch a local game!

I attended the concert at HEB Center to see Anthony Hamilton and Fantasia and purchased the All In…read morePremium Loge Package. The Great The All In Premium Loge package was a strong value. It includes two tickets in a semi private area, a parking pass, two alcoholic drinks each, unlimited non alcoholic beverages, and a full buffet. The view was unobstructed and excellent. There is an elevator that takes you directly to the correct level, which makes access easy. The bathrooms were clean, close by, and had no lines. The dedicated area for food and drinks meant we avoided the long bar lines, which was a big plus. The buffet included salad, vegetables, mashed potatoes, chicken, carved beef, rolls, and desserts. The line moved quickly and the food was enjoyable. The Good While the food was solid, the seating area does not include tables to place your food or drinks. The seats did not appear to be larger than standard seating and there is no additional legroom. (I'm 5'10") That was a bit surprising for a premium package. Although the view was unobstructed, the venue could benefit from additional jumbo screens placed around the arena. The main screen could also be zoomed in more to enhance the experience. The Bad The sound quality was the most disappointing part of the night. The music was too loud and at times you could not hear the artists clearly. Both Anthony Hamilton and Fantasia are powerhouse vocalists who do not need heavy production. Instead of clear, crisp voice isolation, they sounded muffled. After multiple audience complaints, the sound improved, but it was distracting and took away from the experience. The package also advertised dedicated guest services and event staff support. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We could not find anyone to help us locate our seats or answer questions. The only visible staff were those managing the buffet and the check in area. For a premium experience, that was frustrating. Overall Despite the issues, I had a great time with my friend and we truly enjoyed the concert. I would consider using the All In Premium Loge Package again, but with adjusted expectations. Tips * Avoid the main entrance and use a secondary entrance for quicker entry. * If you do not have a bag, use the express line. (We had small clear bags and were allowed to use th express lane) * Download your tickets to your wallet before you get to the event. * The highway exit for the event can feel chaotic with heavy traffic and aggressive drivers. Consider driving past the first entrance and heading to the second exit. * Take your time after the event to avoid the traffic jam. All in all, it was a fun night. With a few operational improvements, especially around sound quality and guest services, the experience could move from good to great.

My second time ever to the Dell Diamond. It's so close to me, but I've never gone to a true Round…read moreRock Express game. Shame on me! I had a coupon for me and a plus one to have a reserved seat for free at the Dell Diamond, and I wanted to take advantage of it. I convinced my buddy to go with me to an opening series game where the Round Rock Express faced the Gwinnett Stripers. We agreed to go on a Wednesday to get our dollar hot dog night on. You know how that goes. Of course, going to every sporting event feels like they are going to nickel and dime you. It's $15 for parking, so if you can carpool, I'd highly recommend it. Beers range from $12 for domestic to $14 for craft. Everything is pricey. The hot dogs still remained $2 the whole night. Selfishly, I ate 5 over the nine innings. I didn't eat much through the day, and a decent ballpark dog was calling my name. As for the actual game, it was over by the second inning. The night was very windy, so no balls had a chance to go yard. The Stripers scored 6 runs at the top of the 2nd and it was 7 scoreless innings for the Express. Ay caramba. The nice gentleman in front of us was at the game with his wife and gave us good conversation. We watched kids rabid for the flying foul balls. Sometimes the game isn't even the most entertaining part because the stadium has a story of its own. The hot dogs were very nice. At a dollar, they could be lukewarm, soggy, and wrinkled, but they were dense, flavorful, and actually pretty good. Sometimes I wonder if dollar dogs are cheaper and they probably are, but you couldn't fool me. They weren't jumbo quarter-pound dogs by any means, but they were a normal quality-sized wiener. I drank a draft of the Love Street Blonde, one of my favorite common craft beverages, and got a can of Michelob Ultra from a very nice hawker that I obviously tipped. I just don't really like Michelob Ultra, I realize. I took a stroll through the Dell Diamond before leaving and there's a lot of cool spots from their yard in the back, which is great for just relaxing during the game, though the view isn't the most ideal for the action (great for bombs though). There's a full bar as well with baseball simulators and TVs showing other games, but if I'm paying money to park and watch a game, maybe that's not the move IMO. Regardless of the Express getting rocked by the Stripers, I had a great time and want to return to more Express games this season. As a young adult, the deals on weekdays are too good to pass up. Thursday might be a move in the future for those $4 domestics, $7 drafts, and cheaper food options around the park. Maybe next time the Express will get more runs than hot dogs I ate. A fairly new stadium, and well maintained stadium with sounds that reached all across Pflugerville and lights that would most likely keep up the whole neighborhood. They have security that makes sure everyone stays safe. Love that they have Kona ice J.C.'s kettle popcorn, and their own concession stand. Prices are reasonable at the concession stand. J.C.'s kettle popcorn starts at $8 for the smaller bag. That is quite big already that goes all the way up to $15 for a humongous large bag. There is so much more to a Varsity game other than a bigger and more beautiful stadium than across the street. 2 scans and empty your pockets/ belts etc. our codes bottle of water was allowed. The large board is beautiful and complete. The home side was quite impressive. This was also a HOCO game so there was b plenty of entertainment by the band, dancers and ofcourse who is going to be homecoming king and Queen. I love their walk from the Panther tunnel. And all the colors of Pflugerville Panther team. It was festive, clean, open, and the commentary was definitely biased ;) Either way, we will be back with the next game.

It's an extremely nice thing that if you lived in Leander when you served or if you live here currently you can be inscribed at no cost and in that way be remembered for all time. The form is available, along with the qualifications and the instructions online. I'm in the process of getting Mr. W's documentation together to submit. The ceremony was very nice -mainly honoring an incredible Veteran who survived Pearl Harbor. It was my honor to shake his hand and thank him for his service after the presentations and while a huge birthday cake honoring the 100th Birthday of the USMC -was served to all. It was small, but definitely more people came then planned and the future looks bright here. A couple of things we discussed with the mayor are that the waterfall although beautiful blocked a lot of the words delivered during the ceremony so they either need a larger volume microphone or to Cut off for reduce the power of the waterfall when people are speaking. Next year they're going to need a lot more chairs... based on the volume of people that were there this year with no seats! I read that there is one woman who's going to put together a 5K run and hopefully there will be some semblance of the parade. There were less than a handful of the antique cars so we've got to get the word out there because I know there are a lot of car aficionados in our area that would probably love to show off their hobby. Good job City of Leander !!! Looking forward to continuing to contribute to the veterans Park through our monthly water bill. Hopefully everybody will consider it as it's a great opportunity to honor those that allow us to observe and live our freedom daily.
