I'm sorry to say that this evening's takeaway was one of the most disgusting experiences I have had in a long time and I won't be back. Honey Chilli Chicken was just about edible, but the Kung Po Beef was soggy, all batter and no beef. The Salt and Chilli chicken was tasteless. I don't know what they did to the previously crisp and colourful fresh peppers and onion, but they were a sad shadow of their former selves. I would love to know where the original owners have gone. The girl that answered didn't seem too bothered at this I was asked did I order it from the "Yoyo App" (I think that's what the girl called it... a lot of background noise, so not too sure). I told her I ordered it from the Arnold's App... she said there is no Arnold's App & that I ordered it from the "Yoyo App" (never heard of it... seriously). Absolutely no humour here, but as everyone can clearly see in the screenshot from my phone... a picture is worth a thousand words!!! I used an App called Arnold's Belfast! ... or I need my eyes tested. I certainly have no complaints in relation to the food. However, the staff are another thing altogether. I understand they're under pressure, but they were really quite rude and ill-mannered...no smiles to be had at all. I was asked several times what my order was, as the lady couldn't hear me, and the team just generally seemed quite irritable. I'll put it down to being overworked and busy, simply because the place was pretty hectic that evening. You could definitely do worse than The Belmont Bethany, but you could also do a bit better.

The man at the fryers, apparently local legend Bill, doesn't even look round to take your order, looking at you from a long mirror above him, greeting you with a simple 'What's yours?'. He says it to everyone regardless of the length of queue, but the man has the memory of an elephant, timing massive orders of chips, fish, pasties and suppers with the dexterity of a dancer. And the chips, ooooh the chips, hot and vinegary and wrapped in paper are so fine. You can even sit in if you are lucky enough to get a seat, but so long as you get your chips you are a winner.

Coupled to staff who get the order wrong and give you a tub of lumpy brown gunge that smells like Oxo instead of curry, there's more chance of hell freezing over before I darken their door again.
