I signed up in person for personal training services and paid $1,800. Before signing, I was verbally told that I would receive a 100% refund if I canceled the next day. Based on that assurance, I agreed. I canceled within 24 hours . However, the refund was refused. I was also not provided a written copy of the contract or cancellation policy at the time of signing. This experience was very disappointing. We were cancelling due to health reasons . John Allen is not trustworthy person . He gives false promise and cheat people by taking their money and start ignoring calls and messages once he got the money . I recommend that anyone considering signing up ask for the full written contract and not rely on verbal assurances. I do not recommend anyone to join this place . We felt misled and disappointed by how this was handled. Please make sure you receive all terms in writing before committing to any payment. read more

This guy is a crook. He took $2000 of my wife's money for personal training sessions. Then my wife got pregnant so she put her training on hold. She checked in with him every few months to make sure her sessions were still valid. He said not to worry. Then, she had complications due to pregnancy and was unable to work out again. He said I could use her sessions instead. Once the baby was born, I went to use those sessions and he refused. After some argument he said I could use 1 "free session" (he called it free even though we paid for it) for every 3 sessions I paid for. That wasn't the deal. In the end he kept our money and we got no sessions. Don't trust this guy. read more

Too bad for me I had an injury which requires surgery 15 sessions into a 45 session plan. Although it wasn't directly related to lifting and I made mention of it prior to signing on, John did assure me that while he does not normally issue credit, in my case, he would. & why not? Payment for services generally contingent upon services rendered. However after he agreed to reimburse the unused portion of my $2,800, each month that I contacted him, his text reply was: "I haven't forgotten about you". Comforting statement. Never the less after this 6 month charade I had no choice but to charge back the credit card as time on that option was expiring rapidly. It's a shame because the few sessions we worked together were productive. But when a person looks me in the eye, shakes my hand, and says: "I'm a man of my word", and then goes & does the opposite; what I'll remember most is not the productive training but rather that that's a person with no integrity and lacking character. But it's partly on me. I'm a trusting person and took John for his word; and why wouldn't I? We all project our values onto others; & I haven't kept money from anyone which I did not earn, and I projected that value on him; I was mistaken. At some point I stopped caring about the money, it was just upsetting getting strung along by someone who I trusted. read more
