On the last day, after the final MRI was performed, the nurse attending my spouse began pulling/yanking out the IV. My spouse yelled and said, "Your hurting me." Also, Heaven help you if you get this other one, Nurse C. She is undisciplined, entitled, UNPROFESSIONAL. When is it acceptable for any medical staff person to yell at a family member, "WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?" When is it acceptable for the nursing staff to block that family member from leaving? The incident is more involved but the staff did not act in the interests of my spouse or me. After sending a complaint letter to five heads of the hospital, the patient advocate responded. She stated after an investigation had occurred regarding the letter I sent and nothing was substantiated. This is not surprising as the patient advocate is really a "staff advocate." And of course the nurses will deny any wrong doing. Winthrop/ NYU Langone Mineola is a bad hospital. I will never allow my spouse or myself to be admitted again.

The doctors and nurses took the time to explain everything clearly and made my friend feel comfortable and supported throughout the visit. The facility was clean, organized, and welcoming, and you can tell they are deeply committed to providing exceptional care. I saw Dr. Schwartz for the first time a few months ago, the exam was not through and I never received a call to review my test results. I had to send multiple messages and call several times before getting her on the phone. How can I trust my life with these unprofessional people. Great bedside manner, dry sense of humor, no rushing to get you out and open to answer 9,00000 question that you might have. He's also been on the "Top Doctors" list for many years. His office is located inside the satellite Valley/Mt Sinai cancer center in an easy to reach location. No need to go to the hospital for chemo/bloodwork etc. I'm extremely happy with my choice.
