I have been going to the shop for a while. Ron cuts my hair. Ron is a good Christian man. I try to interact with the owner Joey and fellow customers. I have even paid for other people's hair cuts. I find interacting with Joey very difficult. You are suppose to enjoy yourself when going to the barber. Joey is only friendly with a select few. Which is ok. He is the owner. I hope those few keep the business afloat. I am not the few or the proud so I will not return to Joeys barbershop. read more

The parking situation isn't very good also. When I walked in, I wasn't welcomed with a simple greeting, a hello, or anything. I sat on the black worn out couch and just waited until the barber in the middle chair (left side when you walk in) to finish up. There was no one other than him there, (the bald barber with some hair on the sides), and I didn't catch his name. So he calls me up, and I end up sitting in the chair while he went to the back making tea or coffee and started flipping the big TV channels for a few minutes. At this point I'm thinking what the heck is going on here! I couldn't understand the show as it was in a different language. Finally he returns and after explaining to him 5 times at least on how I wanted my haircut, he still managed to get it wrong, but I didn't expect too much for a $12 dollar cut. That bad haircut isn't what bothered me the most as you'll find out below. To add insult to injury, I was about to hand him $12 plus a standard common courtesy tip. The jerk then says, "my price is $15 not $12, the other guys may take 12 but I don't work for that". I didn't question it much other than telling him about the listed price on the storefront. His response was "I don't care about the sign". So, I gave him $15 and walked out never to return again. If you want a really bad haircut with plenty of excuses and you want to be charged more than the advertised price, get your haircut at this place. I don't trust these reviews, as most are probably family and friends. But, you don't have to take my word for it. Try it out. HOWEVER, I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU ASK ABOUT THE $12 PRICE FIRST AND REPEAT IT BACK TO THE BARBERBEFORE SITTING IN THE CHAIR - MAYBE EVEN PAY IN ADVANCE TO SEE IF THEY WILL HONOR IT!!

Might as well just do walk ins at that point. And that's fine, everyone runs behind (an apology would have been nice rather than thanking me for my patience!).
