Still the issues exist so I took it to my local AAMCO they said the repairs that Reedmans did were not going to fix the problem, Because of the failed attempts at Reedmans I wasted warranty dollars that could have been applied to the actual repair. The transmission was shot and needed to be replaced. They took pictures of the actual problem and submitted to the warranty company and within a day I had approval to have the repair done using the balance of warranty dollars. Don't waste time and money; take your vehicle to AAMCO and get it right the first time.

After I got the car back with many new parts, I still had a problem with it jerking sporadically. I took it to Jerry, at AAMCO. I left it with him for a couple days when he called me up and asked when the last time was I'd changed my spark plugs. I thought he was crazy because I took the car in for it jerking, which I assumed was a transmission issue. Well, it turns out that $2500 I spent at the dealership was a waste. It turns out Jerry was right. It was a bad spark plug that whole time. Second experience I had was with my mom's pickup. The odometer had stopped working. Jerry and his team looked at it, then recommended we take the truck to a place that specializes in instrument clusters. $100 later, the odometer worked again. The Chevrolet dealership wanted $600 to fix the same problem. I can't thank Jerry and his guys enough. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

I inspected some parts of the transmission to determine they did nothing to open it up or diagnose the problem, other than scanning trouble codes. In search of a second opinion, I called Cottman and the service manager Scott happily spent 20 minutes on the phone with me asking questions to give me a more accurate picture of what the problem might be, and what the costs could be. A few weeks later I visited the shop on my way home from work (20 minutes before they closed) and Scott took the time to take a 30-minute test drive, plug in the diagnostic, and troubleshoot the matter. He said that there was a much smaller issue related to the transmission fluid temperature and said he could get the work done in under a day. I arranged for an appointment a few days later. Scott and Beth were happy to arrange drop-off/pick-up service to my office a few miles away. I couldn't be happier with their honesty, efficiency, and experience. In this day and age, even though I'm mechanically inclined, it's tough to find a skilled mechanic you can trust. I will confidently refer my friends, family, and professional contacts to Cottman knowing they will be in good hands with Beth and Scott at the helm.

I had to call every 3 days for an update, they were rude, with no care I had no other transportation, gave me the excuse they were busy and under staffed. By the 3rd week I had enough asked to speak to a manager, was told will get back to me. When he did the next day I had a diagnostic (transmission parts) and a price tag to fix the problem of $5000, dealership price and it would take a month to fix. I took my car to a transmission mechanic A-1 Economy, mentioned to Jim I didn't trust nor believed Ford diagnostic, I explained to Jim what car was doing thinking he would drive the car and do his own diagnostic, instead he takes Ford suggestion fixes the parts and car still has the same problem. Then Jim tells me the problem is not the transmission but the engine. I asked why change the parts to the transmission if it's an engine problem, because I told him what Ford had found when was diagnostic. Paid for a service that did not fix the problem and Jim @ A-1 Transmission not do his due diligence to find out on his own what was wrong with my car.
