I normally use Yelp for reviews and never leave one, however this deserves a review…read more A little about me... I've been overweight for a many many years of my life. I finally got serious about my health and lost 100lbs. I dont say that to get applause to told good job, it was a matter of living long enough to see my family grow and being there for my wife. After the weightloss I gained so much confidence, and realized that I had worth. I started skincare routines and focusing on things that made me feel pampered and cared for. It was a total mental game change for me and especially as a straight man. I think many men miss that boat. I share all that to say... I finally decided I was tired of self-grooming with a razor. The ingrown hair, razor burns, and dont get me started on the cuts in sensitive areas that would not heal for weeks. I started researching male Brazilian waxes and of course all I could find were spoof and comedy bits about people getting it done and "oh the pain". Finally I found some good information and despite my overwhelming nerves I booked an appointment for my first ever male Brazilian wax and first wax ever here with Kayla. Let me clearly explain. Im married, have been for almost two decades and my wife is my world. This is a beauty and hygiene service... NOT an arousal visit or some form of sexual service in any way and I did not book it for that. Despite being firm about this, I was nervous to be naked in front of another female and trembling. Kayla was so kind, respectful, calm, and put me at ease by conversation about life and everything except what was plaguing my mind and fears. She gave clear instructions about how to lay down and move as needed. She moved efficiently and I never felt uncomfortable which was amazing since I had no idea what to expect. I NEVER FELT JUDGED! I want to make that a clear point. In a life where I've been judged for my weight and whatever else, because people can be so mean... I felt accepted and treated as a valued client. For a man, there is all this pride and ego surrounding our genitals, and having someone see you naked is intimidating even for the largest ego maniac. The fact Kayla stayed focused on the work and conversation flowed, it made the experience so much better than feared. I left realizing I had nothing to fear. All the hype was just fear mongering to be honest. Did it hurt? Sure... we are ripping hair off the body. That's like asking if a tattoo hurts... duh! However, after just seconds the pain is a thing of the past so be a big boy and get over it. Our women counterparts are champions of pain (childbirth for just one example of many), so grow up and realize it's not a big deal. Don't buy the hype. Lastly... the final product. The smoothest and cleanest of feelings I have ever felt post service. The days that followed were heavenly. Something a razor or other hair removal just simply can't offer. I feel clean and guess what is crazy? I feel more confident in my skin than ever. I think it's from overcoming the fear, facing it, and then realizing it was so worth it. I can't thank Kayla and the staff at this location enough. It was simply the most professional environment I've ever encountered (and that includes the many many massage environments i have been in, which is a similar industry of discreteness and respect). I gladly will send everyone here... and especially my guy friends who all think they are too manly (total facade) for such a service. Really they are probably just to afraid, but there is nothing to fear except fear itself! Go take care of yourself, for yourself, and be the best person you can be. Thank you EWC and Kayla for giving me the confidence and service you did. Incredible.

Amber made my first wax as comfortable as possible. I will be back! Very professional and clean…read morefacility!

I visited Highlands Day Spa in Post Falls…read more During the visit, there was a disagreement about billing. While I stated I was willing to pay, the owner told us we could be accused of "theft of services." I tried to clarify the charges and pay for the service, but the conversation escalated unnecessarily and felt confrontational. Being threatened with a criminal accusation during a routine billing discussion was surprising and very uncomfortable. Before booking, I strongly recommend asking detailed questions about pricing, policies, and charges so everything is completely clear. If the owner would like to review the audio recording of the conversation and resolve the situation, I would be open to discussing it. I hope the business improves how customer concerns are handled in the future. The owner was very rude on the phone enforcing a policy.

THEY'RE GOING DOWN HILL FAST…read more The entrance & front bathroom was muddled with debris, paper & garbage. There were many walls with chipped paint & the cleanliness in general was lacking. My friend & I both booked a mani/pedi. We spent $140 each but the sauna is only available for customers who want to buy a facial or massage, unless you want to spend another $15 + dollars. Both our tech's seemed to be fresh out of school. My friends manicure had to be fixed at home & both our toe nail polish was not great quality that we took off later that day. I tried showing the cashier the spillage of gel polish on my friends hand as we checked out, she admitted it was below their standards but didn't offer to do anything about it. The lights are so dim it's impossible to check the quality of work on site. The choices of colors was sparse and there was no real organization with colors/numbers of the selections. When we chose a color, after several minutes of both techs searching high and low, we were told sorry that seems to be out of stock. My tech stopped what she was doing to check her phone twice, and really did not know how to give a good service on either mani or pedi. Also, she continuously interrupted my friends & mine personal conversation with her own thoughts or ideas. We tipped because we are decent people but sadly, this was a complete waist of money & time. I'd LOVE a refund.
