All staff (Jodi, Courtney, hygienist, EFDA) make you feel cared about, from their friendliness to explanations of your dental care. The office is clean, comfortable and has the latest diagnostic imaging and techniques. Everyone performing dental work was gentle and unhurried. The 1st visit was a very comprehensive exam which included x-rays and photos of all teeth, exact measurements of gum recession of every tooth, cleaning, and exam by the dentist using lighted, magnifying glasses. He found several problems undiagnosed by my previous dentist. Dr Garland explained all findings (I could visually see any area of concern on x-ray and camera images.) A printed copy of the suggested treatment plan and cost is given to the patient. I had a cavity which was filled one week after 1st appointment and I have a tooth with old fillings that has a crack and needs to be crowned but they do not push you to have non-urgent work done. Dr Garland offers a Dental Savings Plan that includes yearly: 2 routine exam & cleanings and routine x-rays plus 15% off any additional needed services - all for $240 per patient or $464 for a couple, with plans for additional family members or needs (in 2018). I've visited my fair share of dental offices. Dr. Phuoc Tran's West Chester Family Dentistry office…read moreblow everyone else out of the water. Firstly, the building is owned by Dr. Tran himself. Thus, the entire area is kept clean and pristine. The waiting room has a giant aquarium which takes up about half of the wall. It's a salt water tank with many fishes that'll remind you of Finding Nemo! (His kids had a hand in picking these out). Also, there's plenty of refreshments available to you on arrival. My personal favorite is to monopolize the keurig machine and snag a mocha flavored k-cup. The receptionists here are warm and happy. Always energetic, they seem genuinely interested in engaging in conversation. The dental hygienists are equally as fun, making a dreaded visit to the dentist not so bad. The chairs and TV themselves are new and up-to-date. I could easily fall asleep in one of those things while staring at the tv directly above me. Quite pleasant. Dr. Tran is amazing. He's very approachable and amiable. He's always engaged in his patients and is getting life updates. Note: if you want to get him riled up, challenge him to a table tennis match!

Recently, I was seen for my six month check-up. She is such a lovely woman! NEVER is she pushy! Nor does she throw you a dental plan sales pitch! Dr. Munowitz is not only kind, but rather knowledgeable and truly is compassionate about her holistic approach to dentistry. She uses purified water in her practice and no toxic chemicals are EVER used. No fluoride! No mercury! Unfortunately, she is not covered under all dental insurance plans, you will have to call her practice for those details. If you must pay out of pocket it would be totally worth your while!

Years later, I decided to try again because my son really needs a holistic dentist. Made appointments for both of us 6 months ago only to be told two days before that there were no appointments made. I even called back a few weeks after making the appointments to confirm and ask if I needed to fill out any paperwork only for her to confirm the appointments. This is the same problem I had years ago. Obviously the same person is working the front desk. I hope Dr. Munowitz reads this and knows she is losing patients due to this person's incompetence. It's really sad, because I would love to have continued to go there.
