Despite that, I recently received two invoices--dated January 2026--for services performed in 2024 and 2025. These were the first and only notices I ever received. The statements show no insurance estimate, no insurance payment, and no prior balance, which strongly suggests the office either never submitted the claims or submitted them incorrectly. Preventive services should have been fully covered, and any failure to bill insurance or notify the patient for nearly two years is a provider issue, not a patient responsibility. When a dental office assures patients that insurance is in network, then sends surprise invoices years later with no explanation, it creates a serious trust and transparency problem. I hope they address the internal billing issues that led to this situation so other families don't experience the same frustration.

It's really hard to appreciate a dentist until you've been to a really messy, unorganized and dirty dental practice. That's probably how I noticed that Dr. Gao's office is absolutely spotless and pristine. They have some great magazine choices in the waiting room and a laminated article about Grant Achatz. Major foodie cred for Dr. Gao. The staff there is incredibly friendly and efficient. I've never had a long wait (5 mins max) and they always process payments and insurance promptly.
