I am very pleased with the work to spray foam the walls and ceiling of my new 36'x76' Porsche shop,…read moreand then also with the additional work they performed of painting the foam. The price was very competitive, but the important thing is Ron listened to my needs of AC'ing the shop and designed the wall and ceiling thickness for the best outcome for efficiency. I then asked about painting it, and he gave a very competitive price. All of the work was done in the exact time frame that he stated. The workers were diligent and proficient. The shop was just as clean when they left as it was when they arrived. Zero trash residue. I would certainly use them again if the need would arrive. I had several bids. I had gotten several bids. I went with J-N-J because after speaking with Ron, I felt very confident. He came out to inspect the building, which other companies did not do...they just gave a bid based on the shop dimensions. Once he looked at it and we discussed my needs, he gave an even lower bid as he assessed what my needs were. I initially was just looking for the lowest bid. but, after thinking of what I needed because I was going to A/C the shop, I just wanted the job done that would give me the best energy efficiency. He discussed it with my A/C contractor and went the mile to give me what I really needed. Totally pleased

I was originally planning to buy a DIY kit and spray myself. After doing the math, I would've ended…read moreup with less than 2 inches, and would have had to figure out prep work, safety gear, and scaffolding. I got an estimate from J-N-J and found they could do a lot more foam for roughly what it would cost me to do it myself. Seemed like a no-brainer to me. When they were through it all ended up exceeding my expectations. So in short, they are very professional, have a quality product, are reliable (something often hard to find in the construction industry), and are reasonably priced. If I ever have another need for spray foam insulation, I will be calling them for sure, and would recommend J-N-J to anyone planning to try to do it themselves, or looking for insulation.

They have several locations to choose for your neighborhood and good schools for the locations as well. Beautiful finish outs and large lots so you are not so close to your neighbors. My wife and I were looking for our retirement home in the DFW area. After speaking to several…read morebuilders and discussing many homes, floor plans and options, we decided to go with Doug Parr Homes in Paradise Texas. We spoke to the representatives in July 2024 and were up front about coming out of chapter 7 BK that the 2-year anniversary is in December 2024, and that we could not close until after that date. He stated that he would talk to the lender to see about a conditional approval, and we signed a contract with DP with an understanding that we would close at the end of February 2025. During the signing, the representative stated that we would be entitled to a full refund of our $6,550-dollar earnest monies if: 1) We were not fully approved by the lender, and or denied later in the process. 2) If we had to cancel for medical reasons. 3) Had to cancel due to change of employment, etc. We were shocked that we received a conditional approval, but of course it came with several stipulations that included verification of employment, home had to be primary residence and verification of income. Things were going as planned as far as the schedule, until the middle of August when I was told by my employer (Federal Agency) that our offices in the DFW were being downsized and that our jobs were being relocated to the offices in Jacksonville FL location, which included relocation assistance. As a 60-year-old military veteran with almost 30 years of government service an, I had no choice but to accept the new position and assigned location that will take affect October 1, 2024, which will carry me through my retirement in February 2026. Upon receiving notice, I immediately contacted the DP rep (August 16) and the lender to make them aware. The rep stated that he would process the cancelation paperwork and that since it was a corporate relocation, we would be receiving a call from someone at DP regarding were to send my refund of the earnest monies. The lender stated that he would have to deny us the loan since we were relocating and that a 14-16-hour commute daily would be impossible. He also stated that since I was utilizing my VA benefits, that the denial would also be based on the home not being our primary residence. I contacted the rep via text on August 26 as I had not heard from anyone, and he made me aware that he was no longer with DP homes and that I should contact a VP named Michael Mints. I immediately made contact and Michael stated to me that he would discuss my situation with Doug Parr himself for approval to return the earnest monies. I was confused as I was told in the beginning of the process that I would receive a refund under certain circumstances and my circumstances met the criteria. (Relocation and not being approved for the loan). After a day of not hearing from anyone, I reached out Michael Mints again who stated that Doug Parr himself had decided not to refund me the earnest monies because in their words 'Too much had been completed already". The issue with that is that absolutely nothing has been to the land or property where our home was to be built. No dirt has been turned, no meeting with the design center, not meeting with anyone from DP homes. So that in my opinion is not a truthful statement. I reached out to Doug Parr himself who I guess thought I would be intimidated, and he asked if I was willing to meet with him face to face and asked that I provide dates and times. I responded immediately and provided several options. It's been 2 days now and I sent yet another email and Doug Parr has never responded back. In closing I would say to all especially my fellow veterans: Be very careful before signing a contract with DP homes because as you can see, they will not negotiate in good faith. For us, we are turning this over to the Lord, and he will redeem for us the hard-earned monies that is being kept from us.
