What can I say about Joe's pizza? Their light and crispy crust made from scratch with their sauce always made fresh daily making them one of the best pizza joint in the area. Not your ordinary slice of pizza, Joe's makes their pies with the sauce on top an cheese on the bottom giving it a unconventional twist that I swear will blow you away. Joe's wings are also just as good as their pizzas. Their wings are humongous and amazingly delicious especially their everything wings. Make sure when you order to ask to make them extra crispy because they taste 10x better that way. Overall, Joe's pizza is one best pizza joint I've had. They price are very reasonable which is also a plus. read more

I ordered a large plain pizza and it was either left in the oven too long or it was someone else's order who never picked it up, it seems like it was sitting around for awhile and became dried out, and was very salty too, it was kind of like a cracker with sauce. It sure isn't like the Joes of yesteryear, no comparison. read more

the pizza is good, love the wings I got a calzone and didn't like it. the waitress was great, I would try it again read more

Joes is a different style of pizza if you havent tried it! Love this place with their upside down pizza and fresh toppings! Always enjoyable! read more

I have been going to Joe's since I was a kid and although the owners have changed, the pizza has not!!! This is by far the BEST "upside down" pizza. The OG joint had a fire when I was kid, and moved twice since then but still stayed in the 'boro. If you like sausage the pepperoni and sausage is a must very bite you will have sausage!! If you are in that area you gotta try it!!! read more

This pizza was hot and tasted great. If you are in town it is worth getting some pizza here

Ordered a turkey sub and it was horrible. 2 slices of turkey on one half. Cheap processed American cheese and maybe 3 onion strands. No flavor and mostly bread. Sadly new ownership is cutting corners. read more

I wanted to show my wife and father in law the difference between pizza and tomato pie. I picked Joe's because it was open and they had a good Yelp rating. When I ordered the tomato pie he asked "is this an order for tomorrow sir?" I said I would like one now. He said "well we have a shell that we can top." This should have been my cue to say "thanks anyway" but I figured I would give it a shot. Here is my very quick diagnosis. Sauce good. Everything else very, very bad. The "shell" was like crispy cardboard. They pulled the pie out of the oven and placed it in the box. We ate it immediately and it wasn't even warm. They put a pathetic amount of parmesan on top too. Maybe their actual tomatoe pie is good but the alternative should not even be available. read more

Greasy. Bottom bun drenched in grease, both paper plates soaked in grease. aluminum foil stuck to paper plates with soaked through grease. I guess if you like a soaked through cheesesteak you found the right place. ...also was charged a fee for using a debit card to pay instead of cash. read more

Even though my boyfriend and I have lived in the area for a couple years now, we only recently discovered how good Joe's is- it's the only place we've tried that actually makes their wings extra crispy when we ask! Tonight I placed an order for a pizza and wings, and when I came to pick it up, they realized they had never done the wing order. The employees were so kind and apologetic and completely owned up to any mistake that was made, which is all I can ask for! Everyone makes mistakes, but the wonderful customer service is what I'll remember. They even threw in an antipasto and celery and blue cheese, which they didn't have to do. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to work in the food service industry right now- in the midst of a pandemic, and during the playoffs! Kudos to the people at Joe's Pizza for their kindness read more

Very good wings, but Trio's pizza in NYM is superior to Joe's when it comes to pizza.

Very unique pizza. Super nice people. I'm doing a bike tour and they were kind enough to deliver pizza to my campsite.

First time ordering pizza from here and it was very good! Definitely will be back for more.

I'm very disappointed in the new owners at Joe's Pizza, ive ordered a few times, and twice the food was overcooked, some of it burnt, not enough sauce on the wings, the sauce was spilled all over the onion rings. i took half of my order back to prove it to them. I was told I would get a phone call, I'm still waiting. this was in January. they are obviously not going to make it right, they got their money. I've been going there for years. Philly i miss ya!!! I don't like doing a bad review, but it's warranted, sad to say... not going going back, I had better pizza and wings at Byrnes dairy. read more

Went here because of a recommendation but would not encourage anyone. Ordered delivery because I have 2 little ones and although we are seriously down the street pick up wasn't an option. Order took twice as long as they said it would and literally everything was burnt and cold. Ordered a cheese pizza wings, onion rings and fries. Not one item was good. read more

I grew up in w'boro and this was one of my go to spots back in the hay day. But that last two experiences I have had makes me wonder how this place stays in business. Today I ordered a small pizza. The wait time was 45 min. Pretty long for a Tuesday but it's o.k. Once I got the pizza home it was very crispy, dry and cold. Like it has been sitting around for at least 40 min. It is very disappointing seeing the quality go down like this over the last few years and hope to see it get better. But next time I will be buying a frozen pizza from Hannaford. read more

Hands down the best pizza in the US. I wish we had a place like joes in CA. Their pizza is what I miss most about living in the Utica area (riggies are a close second) read more

Joe’s Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Whitesboro, New York

Oh, Joe's! I was around when you burned down in the 80s. We cried for hours. We rejoiced when you rebuilt your business and began making pizzas again. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but it's good enough for me to keep going back. For some reason, knowing that Joe's Pizza is nearby makes me feel safe. Whitesboro will always keep on tickin' as long as we have Joe's. ;-) read more

The first time I had Joe's I was taken back. It's so different from most other pizzas. There is just something about the flavor of the sauce that is off the hook. I once ate a whole pepperoni pie before class because the flavor was just so addicting. For those of you used to traditional New York slice pizza, this will be a change ,and don't panic: the cheese is underneath the sauce. read more

Absolutely love the upstate upside down pizza! It's crispy with cheese on the bottom topped off by meat and sauce!

Fantastic pizza but when you order wings, they come naked. Who does that? Born and raised in CNY and that's the first time it's ever happened. No sauce? Seriously? Terrible. Pricey too. read more

Without question, this is my favorite pizza! I have been enjoying it since the day it opened. Joe was a great guy and joes pizza is as good now as it was 55 years ago . read more

The New owner is very rude and nasty the food is absolutely horrible the wings are cooked and old grease and oil and are always soggy will never go there again! So sad that that the new owner took over been going there for years read more

Looks just like a quality Utica pizza, but it was overly salty. Great whole in the wall place, quality service. Enough said.

We stayed at a hotel nearby and we were intrigued by an upside down pizza. What a treat!! Delicious!

Been patronizing Joe's Pizza for probably 40 years and it's as good as ever. I love the Sicilian cheese on the bottom with sauce on top. The place hasn't changed for as long as I can remember, decor and all, warm and friendly family style service, and great food. read more

I am a local resident. joe pizza is up there with the best and is always on my list for pizza Always. Do yourself a favor, do the research, joes pizza has been around for a long time, there is a reason for that. The Mohawk valley has many great pizzerias if the pizza isn't good the business will not stay open. I have order from here many times and over and over again the pizza is consistently good that what's keeps me coming back. read more

The best backwards pizza. Sauce to cheese ratio perfect. Crust is light and crispy. Simply amazing and worth a stop whenever I come home to visit my family! read more

This is the best pizza in the world. How I wish I could get quality like this in the islands. The sauce is tangy yet mild. Occasionally you get a rogue bay leaf in the sauce, which is fine. They use pre-baked shells, which are crispy and light, and not too over-filling, and never greasy. The cheese is generously given and so delicious. The sausage pizza with the home-made sausage pressed over the entire pizza is fantastic as well. When I'm in the area I usually buy at least five at a time. The prices are still great and the location is convenient. A superb restaurant with the best pizza. read more

I started going here when it opened in1964. I thought it was the best pizza I had ever tasted then, and I still do now. The #8 (sausage) with double cheese is the go to pizza and it never let's me down. No matter where you have tried pizza before, don't pass this one by. The wings are great too. There's nothing fancy about the place, but the pizza is 5-star all the way. read more

I really like the upside down pizza from Joe's! My favorite is the way they use sausage as a topping. Delicious! You've gotta try it!

not the 'best pizza in the world' c'mon! much like the beer world and the trend to higher end beers, there are some artisans putting out some high end pies, Joe's ain't one of them. BUT, having said that, it is unique, great sauce on top of the cheese and mushrooms. I always thought it combined the best of pizza and tomato pie (if you don't know what that is, add it to your bucket list just behind utica greens and chicken riggies). Not a huge menu but who cares. When I'm in the Utica area, home to too many good pizzas to count, Joe's is my pick. Price is great, people nice. Not really a place to eat AT, but they have a couple tables if you need to. read more

I've never know anybody who hasn't love their pizza. My childhood memories are some of the fondest, patronizing this establishment. Ordered Small pie with anchovies. Delicious. 'CHOVES REAL & TASTY! Would have been 5stars but delivered only slightly warm. Joe's is pretty close so I expected pie to be HOT. Delicious and they aren't cheap with 'choves. read more

Absolutely the best pizza in Central NY. If I could, I'd move you guys down here to North Carolina to show them how it's done the New York way. The pizza made it more than 700 miles safe and sound. Of course, now that it's cooking in our oven in Raleigh, it won't be safe and sound for much longer. The next time CH comes down for a visit, I'll make sure he stops by to pick up another sausage and mushrooms with peppers on one side. Anyone wanting a place with good food and good people, should check out Joe's. You won't be disappointed. Everything is fresh, full of flavor, and will leave you wanting more. read more
