Well, traveled about 20 miles for this place after hearing about it. Let me tell you, top notch!!! When you walk in, the girl at the counter was so friendly and full of smiles. Even the cook in front of the oven a few feet back shouted some welcomes at us. We started out with an antipasto, was to die for. Had some pizzq and wings. wings were outstanding, cooked perfectly and the sauce is what really made them. Now the pizza. I can honestly say that I have eaten at over 500 pizza places throughout the country and have never had pizza this good. The crust, sauce, cheese (perfect blend) was absolutely the best pizza I have ever had. To top it off, the prices are great. We will make this a weekly trip for our family. We ordered Pizza, Wings, and Tenders meals last night as take-out. It was the best food from a local restaurant that my family has had in a long time. Everything was beyond Perfect and delicious! And when I requested help with carrying out my large order to my car, they offered without hesitation!! The owner also took the time to engage in a nice conversation with me and that is what a family owned business is all about- getting to know your customers. From Utica its only like a 15 minute drive, enough time for your order to be done. I will be highly recommending this restaurant to my family and friends. I love Cugini's ! My friends meet me for lunch there. The lunch specials are great. The menu is awesome ! Sometimes I go there with friends and some family for delicious dinners. They sometimes make some special old family style recipes I recall from childhood like my Nana's tomato pie I have had scrumptious Pasta Fagioli there too. The little pieces of pizza frit ( fried dough) sometime available are so good. This place is a great stop for us all year round. It's great to stop on our way home to and or from Old Forge. I love Cugini's food! It's real Italian food from a real Italian family, which makes me feel like I'm at home whenever I stop in. The Mom & Pop atmosphere is great when we have the kids, I don't feel out of place when they're hanging on me, but it's still a great date place when we want a peaceful surrounding & great food. With the whole family, the pizza & wing special is more than enough for the 4 of us. We love the wings, they're very tasty! He and I like to share, so the Chicken Riggies and an appetizer is perfect for our date night. read more

This was an amazing place to get some food at. The pizza tasted absolutely amazing. Amazing proportions on literally everything. We got one of their specials with 20 wings and a large pizza and it had a pretty good price on it. It fed six people. The service was amazing. The lady that owned the shop helped us get our order and was really nice. And told us things about New York and places to visit and was very friendly and upfront. My Wife and I went to Cuginis recently and had a great experience. Everything we tried was great and the inside of the building is beautiful, a huge difference from 3 tins! The owners were very nice and we really enjoyed their Pizza, Calzones, Salad and Fried Raviolis! They told us their crust is homemade and they spent lots of time trying to perfect it! They also told us they are related to the owners of LaRomas and Sorrentos- two of our favorite Pizza places in the area. Good cooking must run in the family! read more

We have always ordered the pizza and garlic wings, which we love. What is nice about Cugini's is that the pizza is always consistent. Many places it depends on who is cooking. Cugini's pizza is great no matter who is there or when you order it. The garlic wings are awesome. We just started ordering from the menu. The steak and greens panini is amazing and so is the calzone. One thing you do not do is walk away hungry. The homemade chips are to die for. We would like to eat there everyday. read more

I'm from CNY, but I've spent the past few years living on the West Coast. One thing I always missed was good New York style pizza. You just can't get it like this anywhere else! It has become a tradition to stop at Cugini's after a long weekend camping up North. Right on route 12, it's the perfect place to stop and grab a bite with the family or some friends. My wife & I were traveling from Boonville to Utica and stopped in for lunch. We had a slice of pizza and split a chicken Caesar Salad which was plenty big enough for two. The pizza was thin crust and very good; nice sauce and we had plain cheese. We also brought a calzone home with us and reheated it for dinner that night. It was very good! We will be back. read more

Food was good but customer service made this a bad experience. Owner yelled since I arrived early even though I just wanted to pay them wait in my truck. Then she was rude as she brought the food out. Said that she was the owner and could do whatever she wanted. Next time I will drive the extra 5 mins to get to Grandes. read more

They have been around for over a 110 years.
