That's just one of the things we love. Unfortunately, it took many bad haircuts at other places, that left both my son and I upset, before we found Jeff at The Barber Shop. I'm just glad we finally did and hope this review can help someone else from paying for another bad haircut for their son (or self). We love Jeff and while he is the only one that cuts my son's hair, I honestly I don't think you could go wrong no matter who you choose. I have never seen anyone leave here without a smile on their face, a sure sign of a great barber shop. It is important to know it's a cash only business. It can be less than convenient some times but I promise you, it's worth the little extra effort to make sure you have cash. Luckily, you don't need much cash with their great prices. Instead of forcing him into a chair, Denise noticed he felt most comfortable in the waiting area and simply adapted to him. Denise cut his hair right where he felt safe while Tabby offered toys and lollipops, talked him through the whole process, both were incredibly patient and kind. (I've always gone to pricey salons where the haircut alone is $50). Great clips is less than half that so I had to give it a try (senior discounts for 65+ too). I was able to be seated with my stylist in 2 minutes after walking in, so the check-in info (0 minutes) was accurate. The salon was also very clean and the stylists were cleaning up after each client). I have long blonde hair and just wanted about 4 inches cut off (dry hair cut)- straight across the bottom. Tyreek listened to what I wanted, showed me exactly how much he was planning to cut (for my approval), and then went to work. I thought I'd be in/out in 5 minutes but Tyreek pinned up half my hair and carefully cut section by section. I have a LOT of hair. He did an absolutely FLAWLESS job.
