What I thought was even more cool was when I came several days in advance to order the cake maker, ( not sure how she spelled it) Ashlynn was attentive and walked me through since I never order cakes. She also gave me a couple crème horns to boot. Very nice touch! Good Selling Yelpers!

Overall service was very good; our server was pleasant, attentive and patient throughout our stay. Our party mostly ordered the various burger options ( all were juicy and served with mayo ) served with either fries or a side salad and I'd recommend the Hangover Burger myself. The spicy chicken sandwich was another good option for chicken lovers. Again we passed on the pastries but the ice cream was very good. I again witnessed the tale of two restaurants as the primary business and labor focus appears to be on the ice cream, baked goods and pastries side which did impact the in dining side service of the business. Could just have been a staffing issue but something to be aware of when considering table service. Overall restaurant offered friendly service and good food that's reasonably priced.

The new lady cashier this time had no basic customer service, no greeting, no "how are you," just staring and pointing instead of communicating. It felt dismissive and uncomfortable from the start. When my order was called, I heard my cold brew but someone else took it. I waited for a while thinking maybe it was still being prepared, but nothing came. When I politely asked, I was met with attitude and told I "already had the ticket," which clearly wasn't true. Instead of handling it professionally or even asking a simple clarifying question, the guy making the drinks reacted abruptly, snatched things around, and remade BOTH drinks without any acknowledgment or apology. On top of that, the cold brew itself tasted extremely watered down like no care was put into it at all. The whole interaction felt rushed, impersonal, and honestly disrespectful, especially after paying for the service. I understand everyone has off days, but basic courtesy and communication go a long way. This experience didn't reflect the standard I've come to expect from this place, and I hope it's addressed.

She suggested it as a good half-way spot and said its low key casual and really good food and she had been there several times always with a good experience. I will echo those same feelings as we had a great lunch on a busy Monday. There was certainly an eclectic group of people there. Young people, couples, seniors, families and business people. Some were there just to snag a coffee or tee for the road. Most were ordering and scrambling for a seat. My sister told me it was a coffee shop before and never really got real traction to stay in business. You stand in line and order and pay then they hand you a buzzer and when it flashes you go and get your food. I had the Spicy turkey with cheese and avocado and it was delicious. My Sis had the veggie quiche. We shared and both agreed we made the right choice. It's a small place and feels even smaller when there is a crowd. The tables are all jammed in together and not much room in between. There are two dining rooms and outside seating on a covered patio. The aisle way where the coffee and tea is served gets jammed up as well. People order and then just stand around talking waiting for their beverage. It create a problem because it blocks access to the bathrooms. The Staff is great, very nice and they hustle to keep things moving. It was a little loud and somewhat hard to have a conversation. I think it would be much more enjoyable in the spring and after when it warms up enough to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the fresh air. The menu looked really good and the brisket caught my eye, maybe that will be on my menu for my next visit. Parking is a real challenge. No designed parking, street parking only and walk a couple of blocks for public parking area. That's great when the weather is good but a consideration when the weather is not so good.

Yesterday evening, my husband and I had a delightful experience at North Main Kava Bar in Lowell,…read moreNC, for an event they hosted called " Kava & Queens - Sexy & Grown ." This space is truly unique in that, while it bears the title of a bar, no alcohol is served. We entered and saw this adorably eclectic space. I inquired about kava and kratom, and Bambe and Sam (the owners) kindly explained what they are and their effects on people. It's fascinating to know that something can provide the pleasant sensation of drinking alcohol without the adverse effects. As I conversed with the owners and some patrons, I saw that this space is undoubtedly inclusive and understanding of our individual differences--a safe haven where one can be oneself. I decided to try the kava they recommended, which had a subtle coffee-like flavor, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. One thing to note, as the owners explained to us, is that high-quality kava will produce a slight numbing sensation on your tongue. I also tried the refreshing cucumber version of the kava, and it was truly refreshing, to say the least. Kava does live up to its purported effects. I felt relaxed and like I had no pain, which is super awesome coming from someone living with chronic disorders. My husband had some of the kratom as a mocktail mixed with pineapple juice. Kratom comes in various strains and colors, and depending on the color, it can have different effects. He opted for white kratom for its energizing properties. He also tried the Kratomdriver (kratom and orange juice). By the end of the night, my husband described the feeling of wanting to go for a run because he said it's like a sugar rush. (But don't let him fool you; when we got home, he was out like a light .) They have an outdoor patio for anyone looking to enjoy the company of friends or simply relax in a nice, laid-back area in addition to their main bar area inside. This establishment is exceptionally welcoming and inclusive to all who enter its doors. The owners friendly and familiar demeanor creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for all guests. They host events throughout the month for anyone looking to go and experience kava or kratom, but in an eventful manner. Bambe and Sam, thank you for having such a great establishment where people can go, enjoy time spent with each other, and have actual conversations, showing people that a "bar" does not have to be the stigma we all think it to be. Last night's performances were truly enjoyable, and it is a night I will always remember because I felt I belonged. ‍

The guy who owns the store is great, very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable on what he sells. Would recommend the place to anybody looking to try Kava / Kratom, either for frequent trips or for a once in a while experience. Best option out there for many, many miles! Prices are reasonable and products are of very good quality, no complaints to be had.
