To start off. AJ the manger is a complete joke, very unprofessional and no sense of urgency or respect whatsoever. Secondly. I called for three weeks to confirm my car would be outside the gate. It was NOT, I have two different weekends that I have taken a video saying the date and time and showing the parking lot. When the was able to get down to the collision center, AJ wanted to argue and kept saying "I understand that I dropped the ball. And don't know why you're upset" Third. I told him the transmission hose was damaged and the car is NOT to be driven, did that stop him from driving it like a complete asshole? No. He floored it wide open from the back to the front, then argued with me for ten minutes about my bumper and headlight that his crew took off "Not accident related, they were both intact and working with no damage when I handed over my keys in to the drop box. Lastly. This collision center costed me $1100 due to paying two different tow trucks when my car was NOT in the parking lot, now I'm stuck with the bill for that and to pay someone to install my bungee and headlight because they took it off and didn't put it back on? Upon reading the reviews. I'm not shocked that I have to write this. If my transmission is damaged, we will be fighting it out in court. either yall will spend money to fail at proving I'm wrong or will pay to fix this plus the cost to fix my bumper and headlight that AJ and his incompetent work of him and his crew read more

Beware. Got an estimate from them and was told insurance would cover. Waited 9 weeks to get it in. Waited 10 more days and was told there was more damage and now insurance would not cover. insurance totaled and Joe Hudson charged us to put back together and It wasn't even close to when we took it in. DO NOT TAKE WORK TO CAVE SPRING BODY SHOP. On 04/04/2022 I took my 2018 Silverado Crew SRW 3500HD 6.6 Diesel to Cave Spring Auto Body to repair damage to Left front Fender/ Bumper. Estimated at $5,000.00 then it was $7,448.64. Estimated 5 day repair, Completed on 04/22/2022, 19 Days. When I picked it up they said "oh by the way the Low Coolant light Keeps coming on. It wouldn't burp. Here's a Gallon of Antifreeze. They also had to remove Radiator & Intercooler, batt and Fuse boxes. I picked it up and drove it to the VA. Everything was fine. I've had Zero issues with this truck. Easy starting, great Power even when towing, No codes, great MPG, & No Smell. I left the VA and About 3 miles up the road I Accelerated and heard a Loud Pop that sounded like a hammer on a Metal Table. Soon the Check Engine light Came on. So a pulled into AutoZone and had them pull the Codes. It had multiple codes. 02 sensor, Mass air flow and EGR. It was a little sluggish so I did drive less than 5 miles to pick up Grandson. All of a Sudden it went into Limp mode. Limp mode is designed to get you to a safer area if needed. I was on a major highway. I pulled into the Parking Lot. Had it towed to A Dealership, at that moment I did not think it would have had any connection to the BodyShop. Truck is still under Warranty. The Tech found no Flow from Exhaust, then found the Charge Air Inlet Hose Had come Off and that caused a Stopped up Diesel Exhaust Particulate Filter to completely Stop up. After reinstalling it would not run to preform a Regeneration. Dealer was advised by tech Hotline to Replace the Particulate Filter. ($2,607.98 for Filter. Dealer installed and truck is Repaired. Cave Spring Body Shop wanted my ins to cover it related to accident. They determined it was not related to accident. The Body Shop is Liable. I took the bill for $3,621.77 to the body Shop and they told me that since I drove it after they would not cover it. Stay Away. read more

They messed up my drivers side head light, never aligned the Front-end, so now I have bad tires, never fixed my windshield Reservoir. My passers-side is not lined up so it gets water it it. Front bumper is not right. Missing bolts through out the whole Front-end. A big mess and I took it back for them to put a bolt in it and called it a day. Don't use them read more

They are very nice people to talk to, everyone of them and they deal with the insurance and rental car people on your behalf. As a body shop though I found them to be incompetent and I realize that is a strong word to use but it is quite accurate. Mine was a new vehicle with slight damage to front end. A broken headlight was left in the floorboard of the car, there were paint mismatches, they did not know how to assemble the grill (I had to research it and explain it to the owner, manager, project manager and tech). They guarantee the work for life but after 6 visits I realized that I would be spending my life there trying to get everything put back together correctly. In the end I walked away with misaligned headlights, paint overspray on the windshield, mismatch paint and a bumper that doesn't line up with the rest of the vehicle. It was worth it to me to pay out of pocket for the dealer to fix what Cave Spring couldn't. read more

Excellent repair of a badly damaged vehicle, drives snd looks perfect, excellent follow up of a minor issue

When I moved to Roanoke a few years ago, my Equinox was hit and needed some bodywork. I took it to this place because it was convenient, and being new in the area, not knowing where would be best. Well, the vehicle didn't need much work, however, they said they heard a "ping" in the engine and that they couldn't let me drive it out of there because it wouldn't be safe...and that they were having Berglund Chevrolet tow it to their shop to be...fixed. Well, I was a bit naive, and a bit younger then, (and female),however I've been around a while now to know where best to have mechanical, or bodywork done. When I drive by this place and see the Berglund truck there, I hope some other poor soul isn't being taken advantage of. read more

Cave Spring Auto Body does outstanding work. They keep you informed, protect your car [missing glass] until repairs are finished, and go over the repairs with the customer. After hitting a turkey, the windshield shattered. The removed what need to be done to remove glass shards, reinstalled/replaced what was necessary. Car was returned spotless with not even one glass shard remaining. Hooorah! read more

Just a quick comment about the great service at Cave Spring Auto Body. Sadly I have needed their service twice recently. One was a great success and the other was a near miss--- NO not a bad thing for me but they lost the job but earned a huge attaboy.. The estimator explained the repair and indicated it was quite easy --- So I tried it!! YEA a great success and my new mirror testifies to my limited but successful repair skills. My sister had her car fixed here and the work was less than satisfactory!! When the car was finished and we were told to pick it up we noticed that the bumper was still not fixed from the accident and not to mention the overspray that was everywhere. She has contacted them numerous times about the issue and they have refused to fix the damage. The car was taken to them and the guy that looked at the car pulled on the bumper and messed it up some more.
