I went to this Madison location. I was a walk-in and probably waited 30 minutes. Staff was very helpful. They have a nice, clean waiting room space and bathroom. My door was not shutting right. It turns out the strike plate needed tightened. He was able to fix it promptly for no charge! I really appreciate the honesty and help! I will be recommending this place to everyone! read more

After having my new Sequoia for only a month, I had a little incident wt my lift gate and the garage door got a little tangled up. It wasn't major damage, but it sure felt like it!! I dropped my car off and three days later I got it back good as new!!!..AND it was spotless!!! Our car sat at Joe Hudson Collision on Madison Blvd. for over a month without having any work done. We waited weeks for parts to arrive and then for staff to recover from the flu before eventually being told half the work was completed and it would be one more week for it to be ready. On the day we expected to hear the car was ready for pick up we got a call from the manager that NOTHING was ever done to the car and they were towing it to another facility! Now we have to start over with a different place. Unless you like being lied to, don't care if your car sits untouched at the shop for weeks, and have the patience of Job, I'd look elsewhere. read more

I got my car back and the body work was great; however, my fan did not work and my check engine light was on. When I called about bringing it back in yesterday (1/3/23) the person I spoke to was not very friendly and I was informed that the soonest I could bring it in is next week. Obviously, with the check engine light on (and my car had neither of these issues before the repair), I cannot drive it and I need it for work. It would have been nice to be able to get it in as soon as possible, have the two issues checked out (maybe as simple as reconnecting something or a fuse), so I can drive it since it is my only vehicle. I have used Joe Hudson (location in Huntsville) before and had a great experience. This time not so much. In addition, the only way I knew my car was ready on 12/20/22 was because the rental company called me to tell me my rental car was due back that day. I had heard nothing from you all. I then called JH and was told that my car would indeed be ready that day and to not come to get it until I received a phone call. By 3:30, I had not heard anything so I called and it was ready so I had to rush to return the rental car and get my car all before 5PM. Just a very frustrating experience over all. Now I am paying a mechanic to "fix" the issues that my car came back with after the repair because I cannot wait for a week and half to get it looked at by JH. read more

We were hit and the guy who hit us had progressive insurance. Side note...finding anyone to process a Progressive claim is almost imposing.... Anywho... called JH and was told they could get me in 3 weeks from date but needed the paperwork from Progressive. The gal gave me an email to send the paperwork to. Was told they would get it and set up and appt.... I sent it...NOTHING. Not a phone call, return email, not even a fu** you. I waited to allow their process to work... after a week and a half I called to schedule. Was told that they couldn't get to me until January!!!! When I told her that she'd told me just a week and a half ago that they could get me in 3 weeks, she said no...it wasn't until January! I wasted time getting the paperwork that really THEY should have petitioned progressive for AND then another week and half just waiting for them to do NOTHING. Just so tired it lazy people that are incompetent! So tired of the COVID staff that makes up our marketplace now!! They'll never see a dime from me. I'll buy another car before I have anything fixed by them. PS. I realize this may not seem like a bad experience per se but just know I was on the phone with the gal the first time for 10 Minutes asking about what needed to be done and the process. It's not like they didn't know my circumstances. She just didn't know what the fu** she was talking about. Incompetence costs people time and time is the most precious commodity that we can never g t back. This business cost me 2 weeks. Wasted on waiting for them to get back to me so I could just get my damn car fixed from an accident that I had zero fault in. Just ridiculous! read more

My car had accident damage on the passenger's side. We dropped the car off and were told it would be ready a week from Friday. It was actually ready Wednesday. Went to their new Madison (AL) location for an estimate. When the guy showed up he asked if I was planning on filing a claim. I told him I was. He asked me who I had my insurance with, and when I told him, he told me that they don't work with my insurance company. I was surprised and confused. I told him I didn't know that certain shops only work with certain insurance companies or that insurance companies will only work with "approved" shops. He assured me that it is true. I asked if he would just take a look at it and see. He reluctantly agreed and told me a bunch of different things that was probably wrong with my car. So, I left, feeling very disappointed that I drove all the way there for nothing. I called my insurance agent when I got home and he told me that it is NOT true. They work with any and all body shops! And that some shops discriminate against women... and I am a minority on top of that! So, DO NOT GO TO JOE HUDSON'S!! I don't know how they got such good reviews, but since there are only four -- their employees probably wrote them! read more
