My experience with Joe Hudson has been horrible. If they were not able to do my service correctly they should have let that be known. I haven't had my vehicle in 2 months, vehicle has been sent to 2 others shops on vehicle inspection damages and both determined the damage was caused by vehicle being in accident. Gary from Joe Hudson contacted my insurance company stating that the damages wasn't caused by accident because they didn't do there part correctly, how do you do the body work but not repair the damages caused by accident, The worst experience I have ever had. read more

Very nice people but cannot finish the job correctly. Made several phone calls and visits to get the front front bumper lip and my rear end was bent and would never fix. I've had to buy 2 new sets of rear tires in the past year. Not happy and will NEVER use again. Only getting 2 stars just because they are nice. read more

I am STILL dealing with the effects of their craftsmanship today, and the wreck (fender bender on the freeway) I had was in March 2023. I drive a 2019 Hyundai Sante Fe. The day I got my car back, there was a warning sign on in my car "Check headlight LED" I told the shop about it immediately, and they told me to bring the car back the next day. That day, they looked at it and said they did all they could do but couldn't find why the light was on. They suggested that I take the car to a Hyundai service dept. When I took it to Serra Hyundai, they told me that it was the job of the body shop to put the car back in good condition. They said I should not have left the shop with any worries, especially not having a new warning light on. Also, a few weeks ago, one of the Halogen headlights went out; this was just replaced in March by Joe Hudson and should not have blown out so quickly. The front bumper on my car is not on correctly and is already showing signs of separating. I don't want to worry about my bumper coming off on the freeway!! *Sigh So now I am back dealing with Joe Hudson as they decide what to do about this situation. I sent my car to their shop, they should use the insurance money to fix it, not take the insurance money and then leave me with the headache of figuring out why the LED lights aren't working properly. The overall job cost my insurance company 12,031.87 plus my deductible. These are not shade tree prices! These are professional prices, and I should have a professional quality of work done on my car. This is just not right, and I hope that they fix it. I will keep this review posted as I continue to work with Joe Hudson. Right now, I am keeping everything in email so the communication is recorded. Had a minor fender bender and was quoted 2.5 weeks for repair. After waiting almost 5 weeks I arrived to pick up my car and 2 of the windows were dysfunctional. Besides this there is clear paint ran on one of the fenders and a big gap between the hood and the headlights. In addition the drivers side speakers no longer work. This place is not worth your time. I'd give no starts if possible. read more

I feel like it took forever for my repairs to be completed. The staff at JH did a great job on my vehicle bc I had really messed it up! I am pleased with the results. The staff was nice and informative throughout the process. My repairs were covered by an insurance claim and for the most part it was a pretty easy process. Parts were the biggest reason for the delay in my repairs being completed faster than I was originally quoted. JH handled my insurance claim professionally and answered any concerns I had throughout the process. The Lifetime warranty is a plus and I am confident in the job JH did in my vehicle!! Hopefully I won't be in this position again but I trust my vehicle with JH! read more

Don't use them if you want quality service in a timely manner and good customer service. 8 days has turned into more than 20+ days. Excuses and rudeness is what you will get. I will not recommend. I will request that my insurance not list them as a service provider. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. Unless you don't care if you get it back in anything resembling a timely manner. They quoted me 2 weeks for a collision repair - they've had my car now for SIX WEEKS and it's still not finished. I've had to extend my rental car at least four times, and it will cost me at least an extra $600 in rental fees. On top of that, their communication and customer service has been terrible. I've had to call and chase them down on the phone to get any info. On the date when they said the car would be ready, I call to see when I can come pick it up, only to be told that nope, still not ready yet. To top it off, Becky at the front desk is incredibly rude and unfriendly, she acts like you've inconvenienced her personally when you call about anything, and was very rude to my state farm agent when she tried to call on my behalf to see what was taking them so long. It's hard to believe that they're still a preferred service provider through state farm, although hopefully that will change when I report my abysmal experience to them. Didn't feel welcome when walking in. A friend of mine (male) asked woman in front to help us and she quickly and I mean quickly shot us down before even coming to look at the car. Stated that Progressive Auto Insurance only work with a certain spots. However, we have been to 5 other places what didn't give us this push back. She processed to say they had another shop that "might" help us but didn't give us the name. Basically, due to her attitude we knew it was time to leave. read more

I have used Joe Hudson in Trussville twice: once when my car was totaled in an accident, and again after a tree fell on my car at work! Both times all of the men who worked on the car or the estimate were extremely friendly and professional. I did NOT feel, as you often do, that they were trying to charge more than the job warranted. I felt that their pricing was fair. I did get an estimate from another shop and it was higher. Joe Hudson was also convenient and there is an Enterprise rental car right across the street that will pick you up when you drop your car off and bring you back over when it's time to pick your car up. They also have an automated system that sends you updates as to what has happened to your car each day. I would use them again. read more

I went by The Trussville location for an estimate on March 07,2011. I was not aware I needed an appointment and was made to feel unwelcome by the lady in the front lobby when she kept sighing because I had not made an appointment. I walked out and went to another place of business to spend my money. I have made it a personal policy of mine not to do business with rude employees that make you feel like you are bothering them. If I am spending a lot of money for a service I would at least expect a smile and a Thank you. read more
