I called on Monday to make an appointment for my Ford Explorer to be serviced, the usual oil…read morechange, tire rotation, check the A/C because it's not cooling, and 2 recalls that I recently learned about. The appointment was set for 8:00 am Wednesday morning and he (Craig, Service Advisor) confirmed the parts were in stock. I dropped off my car at the appointment time and was supposed to hear something that afternoon, but I reached out because I had not heard. Craig said they are behind and needed to keep the car another day. Thursday afternoon, the car had not been inspected yet (according to the link they provided). Called again Friday morning and told Craig I needed to leave to go out of town this weekend so I cannot leave my car there until Monday. I need the items done ASAP. I called again at 2:00 pm on Friday to get a status and he said it looks like the A/C fan is failing but they do not have the part in, but they can get everything else done. When I got to the dealership, I was charged $301 which included a $150.00 diagnostic fee to find out that the evaporator core failed and needs to be replaced. I have an extended warranty, and this should be covered. Craig was nowhere in sight, and the paperwork said the customer declined to have the AC fixed. This information was not communicated to me and since the part that failed is covered under the extended warranty, I should not have to pay the diagnostic fee. Why make an appointment for Wednesday if you are not going to even look at my car until Friday? Why was I not informed (via phone or quote) about the change in issue with AC? When did I decline replacement? DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. I will figure out how to report this to the Regional Manager or even higher. This customer service is disgusting. I hope that it is only at this dealership and not a Ford issue, as that would be much worse!!
