I need a second key for my Silverado truck called the parts department at Cecil Clark. They told me the fob and key was $300 and it was $190 to program it so they said it was a little over $500 for a second key fob I've done several key fobs in the past and it takes about 10 minutes to program one so they're getting $190 for 10 min labor fee service and $300 for a key fob. I called batteries plus a key fob key combination is $120 and they charge $90 to program it that is like 1/3 the price of a dealer don't get your keys and fobs from the dealership they're ridiculous. I'm sure it's not unique to Cecil Clark but it's not something you wanna get from the dealer go someplace else. read more

I was told an adjust could be made on the vehicle ! The adjustment was $250 dollars . They low balled my trade in by $ 2000 to $3000 . Then when talking to Cory he told me 2 times , it's simple math mam. He degrading !! Maybe it was because I was a woman by myself .. hummm . Drove 1 1/2 hours to be degraded and demoralized. We called and spoke with Michael. Michael immediately jumped into action and got us all of the information needed. We spoke with Chuck in Finance and obtained the additional information needed. When it came time to buy our lease out a week later, Michael was at the dealership and greeted us upon arrival. He immediately sat down with us, and we were in and out in under an hour. I own a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox that was bought brand new with Kerrie Towns back in 2021 from Carl Black Chevrolet. The issue we have right now is that back on 3/21/24, we had taken our vehicle into Tires Plus in Eustis FL for a routine oil change at approximately 33,000 miles. Upon receiving the car back they noted that the struts were bad and that there was a pinhole in the exhaust as well and told us to take it in and get it all replaced via warranty since we still had the 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty at that point. Fast forward to 5/2/24 we were able to get our vehicle into your dealership, at approximately 35,000 miles on our vehicle, to have the struts checked as well as an issue with our infotainment center where it blacks out the entire car under certain over and under passes but the vehicle still runs and drives normally and have the work subsequently done. So at this point, Kerrie and I spoke with Stephen Dober, who had the tech John Turner go out and see if he could duplicate any of the issues. While he was out supposedly doing the test drive, he took the vehicle to a residential house where he took his lunch and the car sat without going by or near any underpasses or overpasses or do enough driving to replicate any issues voiced by us. The reason that we know the route is it is posted on the MyChevrolet app, which I will send the route info from the app and we checked because of the liability issue of him having our vehicle while off the clock. When John returned, with his "false" findings, Stephen came back out and told us that the issues could not be replicated but if we felt or noticed the issue again to come back in and they would honor the 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. At this point, before leaving we were told by Stephen that if anything seemed off again that they, aka Cecil Clark Chevrolet would take care of it under the 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, in which there was no set amount of mileage stated. Fast forward to 9/5/24, Kerrie called Stephen to see about getting the car in to have it fixed under the verbal promise made and he stated, "I will speak to my manager but this most likely will not be happen." At this point, Kerrie decided to look through our paperwork to see if we had an extended warranty. She found paperwork that states we have ( Carl Black's Platinum Warranty package) which we would have to pay a $500 deductible to get these issues fixed. Fast forward 9/6/24, Kerrie went into your dealership and spoke with Stephen about it getting fixed under the 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty as he had stated. He said that it would not be covered under the bumper to bumper warranty as it had been too many miles from when it ran out. Mind you he never stated a set number of miles when he made his verbal promise. At this point, Stephen did apologize to Kerrie for the miscommunication. Kerrie then stated to him that we had the extended warranty but we should not have to pay the $500 deductible and you should take care of it since this should have been done under the original 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. There was a little back and forth about the payment of deductible and Stephen finally stated that he would go and Jerry Wilson his manager. So we are now in Jerry's office and Kerrie re-explained the situation to Jerry and explained why we believe that the deductible should be covered by your institution. Jerry's response to this verbatim was , "I'm not eating $500." I asked for his bosses information, which he sent Stephen to go get. His reasoning behind this statement, in which he contradicts himself was we never use other mechanics inspections, but you are more than welcome to get a second opinion. At this point, things got a little "loud" with some back and forth as to why the deductible should be covered and why Jerry wouldn't do it. I also explained to him our issue with one of your employees taking our vehicle to a residential address while not on the clock and our personal trust issues. His response was, while rolling his eyes and under his breath, "Oh my God". Jerry obviously flustered, said you can leave my office since you are going to get loud. So I left his office to deescalate the situation as he slammed his door behind me; mind you I had been vocal but calm until his statement of I'm not eating $500. Upon leaving his office, Stephen came back with your card and he and I spoke about our trip other concern, which was your tech our car while on lunch break(off the clock) to a residential home. Stephen and Kerrie both apologized to each other, where Stephen who has worked at two other dealerships prior to yours stated, "I have never heard of techs taking customer vehicles home on lunch breaks." read more

The guys in the auto body shop are pros. They know exactly how to "dance" with the insurance companies, and they don't cut corners by using cheap parts. Cecil Clark Chevrolet service department did not perform the repairs I paid just under $3,500.00 for correctly, causing further damage to my vehicle and leaving me with most of the original problems as well. Their service department also broke / lost pieces of my truck & declined to repair or replace them. I attempted to allow them the opportunity to make things right & they returned my vehicle to the same technician who then caused further damage. I attempted to reach put to the GM/ Owner Mr. Clark at that point and he would not even let me explain what happened before cutting me off and hanging up on me. We came to the dealership on May 3, 2024 and bought a car. They told us they turned m tinted the windows. THEY DIDN'T. I called them to get refunded the money we paid. I was told I would have a check within Three days. I called again and was told they didn't send the check because the credit union being used hadn't payed them and they now needed me to bring in my social security card and they would at the same time have my check. I'm studying l sitting at the dealership now got fifty minutes, there's no customers here and when I asked to see a manager for help I was told there was no manager and the finance person was running the dealership and to give him a minute. When I talked to the dealership, the dealer informed me that they charge an extra $5000 fee for this vehicle. They say it's for adjusted market value and that all dealers are doing this. I am now looking for a dealer that does not charge these ridiculous fees. read more

They are sticking it to consumers with these bogus market adjustments when consumers can least afford it. My recommendation would be to find dealers who aren't trying to pick every last dollar out of your pocket. Nearly $6k in "because we said so" fees? You can keep your cars Clark family. Never take your car to Cecil Clark for collision. They ignore the amount the insurance will pay and then they hold you car hostage and you have to pay the difference. They tell you that you can get the difference back from the insurance company, but that's a lie. They are very high priced on the collision piece, they do things that the insurance never approves and then they want you to pay. Totally bad customer service and dishonest. read more

I am extremely angry and upset. We had an appointment for 6:30pm this evening (Wednesday) for us to look at the black Colorado (Stock #19265). We were confirmed for the appointment by email and that the truck would be up front and ready for us when we arrived. We arrived about 5 minutes early and no one greeted us at the door until I flagged someone down and told them that I needed to speak with Mike Sumner. After some apparent confusion, our appointment was pulled up on the computer. Mike then told us that they'd bring the truck up front. About 2 minutes later he came back and told us that the truck had been sold. What I'm mad about is that no one, absolutely no one, bothered to call us to let us know. We drove an hour to get to the dealership only to turn around and drive another hour back home for nothing!! All we got were some muttered apology as we turned around to leave. I understand that things like that happen, and had someone called to let me know it would not have been a big deal. In this case, a severe lack of communication caused me to post this as a very poor rating on Yelp! read more

My truck needed an oil change. Wiper blades and was not detailed. Finance was only interested in trying to sell me warranty and other coverage options. Not a good experience and I would never recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. They only cleaned the driver inside area. It is on me for not looking closer. Big push for me to drive it home that day. I now realize the pressure, didn't recognize earlier. Big thing is point system to "SAVE YOU MONEY ". No different than most credit card promises. I had my 2015 Chevy Express Van in for repairs of very minor body work. I felt like $1,600 was an OK price. They finished the work in about a week and drove it to my house. Covid. The van has been sitting covered for about 2 months. And today I just drove over to show them that the 3 of the 4 tire rims had black paint sprayed on chrome wheels. I purchased a 2012 Silverado in September of 2012. The sticker price was $41,000. I had a trade-in, which was an older vehicle and had lots of miles but prior to going to the dealership I did my homework on the trade-in value and it was $5700.00. They told me they would give me $2000.00 and when I said forget it and got up to leave they asked me how much would I need to make the deal happen and I told them $5000.0..they said "OK". I also had a corporate discount which totaled $2723.00. I told them I would have to come back later so I could go home and get my glasses so I could read the paperwork. They assured me that wasn't necessary...yes...a stupid move on my part. They only gave me $2000.00 on my trade-in and never gave me my company discount although I asked them about this at least 4 times. When I realized what they had done when I got back home, I called them but they said they had already sold my vehicle (so I couldn't cancel the deal), I signed the paper work and I was basically out of luck. Worst yet, I went to trade it in to get a better gas mileage vehicle and I lost 42% of the value I paid since Chevy's don't retain they're value and because they manufactured too many they're giving them away now. Had my 2500hd serviced and they rotated my brand new wheel not even two weeks old and scratched them. They did not own up to the mistake and told me they would brush touch them up. The wheel look ten times worse then when they scratched them, the paint is completely different color and finish. After going back to the owner several times he said your truck is ready to be picked up. Needless to say I still have scratched wheels. Will never go back for anything! read more

I took it back to them because the warranty is with them for the water pump. They are agreeing to fix the a/c issue they say it had nothing to do with them changing the water pump but, it worked when i left it with them but, they looked it over again and i take it to them tomorrow but, when they looked at it this time and i left i hear my tires scraping somthing. They are a bunch of no good mechanics. They might have been in buisness for 40plus years but that has to be the selling of vehicles getting them buisness cause they suck at fixing them. I had a recall on my 09 Cobalt and called and talked to Otto and explained to him what was going on and he genuinely acted concerned and wanted to know how soon I could take it in. I brought the car first thing the next morning and after confirming that it was indeed the recall issue, the part was ordered and would take a few days to get but Otto went out of his way to get me a car to drive until mine was ready.
