I have a fairly stressful life, and Dr. Shindler suggested that I give it a go to help relieve stress. Well after my first session, I was driving home, hit a TON of traffic on I-275, and it didn't bother me in the least. It was the strangest feeling in the world - like someone took my mean friend away, and I didn't realize how mean that little guy was until he was gone. I have had reflexology in the past, and thought, "sure this is a nice foot massage", but that is not what reflexology is in the least when you're with Ruth. It's just amazing, amazing work. She's passionate, perceptive, kind, and so so much more. I really don't have enough good words to say about Ruth. Give her a try, and you'll try to hunt me down to thank me for making your life awesome. Dr. Shindler is also awesome. He's very easy to talk to, and is open to different ways of healing, including hypnosis. I did hypnosis once, and he will make a recording of the session for you to do at home. This also helped me reduce stress levels - but obviously you can use hypnotism to help with a lot of different issues. Overall, there aren't enough words to express how thankful I am that this office is here... we so quickly brush off things like stress, and other life stuffs, and how they play a role in our health. Nice to see a doctor's office understand.

She also provides great care. Since originally choosing their office primarily for my daughter, I've since started seeing them myself as well. They've been great with scheduling appointments for my daughter and myself back-to-back.

King with a review of each of the part of the test and where I stood and where i should be -- and recommendations (-- for me none expect to return in a year) Her staff was very nice as well ... She is friendly, really listens to her patients, goes out of her way to avoid prescribing medication when any physical, herbal, or other solution is available. Many of my friends, colleagues, and various people I have met are patients of Dr. Spalding's and they all have rave reviews too! I have heard tons of horror stories (not all were actually HORROR stories but you know what I mean, bad/rude/annoying experiences) from people about their doctors, never have I heard one about her; and since I am already a patient I don't have to worry about trying to get on her new patient list- I've heard she's booked solid! But if you are looking for a new family doc for yourself or your family, trust me that she is definitely worth giving a call- and if need be, a wait! Dr. Eaton, another doctor in that office, is also fabulous- if Dr. Spalding's patient roster is indeed full, you would be just as smart to try and get on Dr. Eaton (also a female).

At the beginning of the year she moved to this practice with new name Alliance Health Macomb. Her family medicine practice is with another physician in Suite 300 inside the Shelby Medical Mall. The staff here with check-in (Peggy) and check-out are very pleasant and efficient at their jobs. The lobby is very large and welcoming with wellness and sick areas to sit while waiting for my appointment. I have seen Dr. Kristen Kavanaugh every September (My Birthday Month) for a wellness check up and also in between if and when I am sick. Back on March 10th I consulted with her on the phone with a video chat about my decline in health while working at my job. She listened with great concern and attentiveness to my symptoms, then gave me some advice till my appointment at the end of March plus an inflammation medication for 4 months. Her Education and Knowledge makes Me very comfortable when she listens and communicates to Me in a timely manner, not rushed with my appointment. We discuss my health issues and treatments or suggestions within strict confidence. She demonstrates Comprehensive Care in a Personal Way! So I was having day and night pain in hands, legs, low back and neck for about two months from February to March while working a housekeeping job. During my 1st appointment on March 24th she examined my swollen hands and legs. She referred Me to visit the Henry Ford Medical Center on Hall Rd to have Ex-rays of back, legs and hands plus bloodwork to determine my diagnosis which was true as she thought. She even followed up with Me after my tests by phone and messaging Me in My Chart online before my follow up appointment on April 17. I am pleased that Dr. Kavanagh along with my other three medical doctors are affiliated with Henry Ford Health plus use this App to connect with patients and myself called "My Chart!" When I receive an email from Henry Ford Health, I can connect in My Chart to receive a message from her, make appointments, view test results, message her back, get refills on prescriptions, and also Henry Ford Billing is connected in it as well. It is an Awesome health feature for Me as a patient. No more phone calls or waiting on hold or please leave a message.... Dr. Kavanagh specializes in Family Medicine and Services Primary Care. Her residence is at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. She is very understanding, personable with compassionate. She uses her medical professionalism in a helpful way with suggestions and solutions to improve my health whether with urgent or non-urgent visits. I recommend her if you are looking for a family doctor since she is also currently accepting new patients.
