Brittney and Laura were in regular contact with me throughout a difficult initial placement and worked on my behalf to quickly resolve the issue, reassigning me under a different senior manager within the same company. The support, professionalism, and diplomacy of the Insight Global representatives during a difficult situation was invaluable. As an active duty military spouse, I am accustomed to moving frequently and reinventing myself to match my skill set with the needs of the local area. I often partner with an employment agency to assist with job placement. Among the many different locations we have lived in and the different agencies I have contracted with, I find Insight Global Minneapolis to be the best at the service they provide.

Truth be told, I was not only initially reluctant to take a contract job but also skeptical to work with a company that was new to the Minneapolis\St Paul area. However, my gamble to "try something new" proved to be a success. The culture of Insight Global is very pleasant; the staff is friendly and they seem to genuinely care about not only their contractors but their clients as well. The contractor benefits are the same provided to actual Insight Global employees and the pay is very competitive. Assuming I continue contract type work, I will definitely make Insight Global my preferred staffing firm. Cons: No paid time off accrual and an initial wait for benefits. Both of which seem standard for those doing contract type work.

She sent me 3 job options all with wrong hours and days that I had told her I wanted to work. Months go by I don't hear from her so I contact her - she says she's still looking, still NOTHING! More time passes without so much as an e-mail or phone call. Don't waste your time, apparently they go through the motions to collect their own paychecks!

At my last assignment, I kept my options open and continued looking for a permanent direct hire position. My recruiter, Emily appeared to be somehow monitoring my online activity and saw in a "newsfeed" I was applying for jobs while still on my temp assignment. I applied on my time on my own computer in my house, so this is a wanton invasion of my privacy. Emily calls me in the middle of work to berate me for doing so. I explain to her that I'm keeping my options open until I am permanently employed, whether at the client company or otherwise. As long as there was "no guarantee" I was to keep looking. Emily takes this personally and proceeds to berate me about my "negative attitude". So in the world of Aerotek, the desire to survive is a negative attitude, if it doesn't favor Aerotek. Excuse me, Emily, but I've been in my field since you were probably in elementary school, so don't get high and mighty with me. She lectures me on professional attitude, yet she has a spaz attack on the phone. Not my idea of professional behavior. The snooping is what angers me most, and is most likely illegal.
