The store is apparently closed! I'm in the parking lot and the building is empty, all signage is gone.

This is a beautiful huge building. The shelves were not stocked or few items. I felt the selection was not great but maybe that will improve in time. No one was available to help or at least I never found anyone. At the check out it seemed to be a bother to scan coupons. I have hopes that they will soon improve and it will be a wonderful shopping experience. read more

Maybe if you were a quilter this would be an OK store. It had been YEARS since I had been in Joanns. I will probably not be back. I was looking for upholstery material and thought this would be a better venue than Hobby Lobby. I was wrong. Not much there. And the other fabric was just slip shod around the store. Not much help when I asked for some specific type of fabric. Luckily, Interior Fabrics on 51st is still open (for a while longer)! read more

I don't sew but they had some really, really cool Halloween decorations that I use for year round decor (where my fellow goths at? Lol), so I checked them out after I hit up Michael's and was disappointed that they were all picked through. I remember being a kid and going to Joann's with my mom was torture. It was just row and row of bolts and bolts of fabric and god awful elevator jazz music, and a couple tables of binders of pattern catalogs. But now they're starting to be more of a craft and home decor store, and it's a little more fun to go in and actually look at stuff or get stuff there. All the employees were wearing masks and were very polite. They had the six feet apart marker stickers on the floor at the checkout, but unfortunately, no one was adhering to it, and no one was enforcing it, so when I was getting in line to check out and people were just inching towards me, damn near brushing up against me, it makes me want to scream, "GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME, YOU DAMN COOTIES MACHINE! STRANGER DANGER!" but that's so many places, isn't it? Stay safe everybody! read more

I'll not be back. I've probably spent 1000's over the years. The staff was rude and dismissive. The store is an unmitigated, messy, unorganized, unwelcoming mess. It felt dirty. It is imposssible to find what you are looking for. I hate that they closed the 41st street location. Now I have to drive 45 minutes through the most congested area of town to be dissapointed. It's too damn easy to get what I need online, delivered to my door. I wonder how long before they lose enough business to shut it down? Everyone I've talked to hates this store on 71st street. read more

This place has loads of fabric and notions. You take your fabric to the register and they cut it at the register. They have patterns and sewing machines too. Employees okay. read more

I used to love Jo Ann's but overall the quality of merchandise has gone downhill with an increase in price. This store is filthy and always short staffed. For cotton fabric find a locally owned quilt store, for anything else just try hard to find the better quality in the store. read more

Am I a seamstress? Nerp. But, I do have ideas of how to make clothes I get from thrift stores fresh with some additions, touch-ups. Recently, I got a gold sequined mini dress on the cheap. I have some more formal events coming up so I thought it would be rad to get some black tool fabric to line the dress with for a result of a floor length gown. Inside the store isn't totally inspiring for someone figuring out what they need or can do to get creative but someone did help me kindly. It's also a little dark to where I even noticed the dreary January day felt brighter once leaving the store. I'd love a little music in the background to get the creative juices flowing but it's definitely structured more like a warehouse. I purchased 8 yards of matte black tool for under $25. Not bad! Hopefully I can pull off having a formal 'gown' for under $70 total! read more

Having been in so many Jo-Ann stores through my life, this store feels very baseline. It feels small even though it has a pretty good lot to work with, namely because the selection is so small. I would call in to question the organisation of the aisles, but it doesn't seem like they were ever organised - so I suppose you cannot question that which has not been done. All in all, I am hoping for a Cinderella story to come out of this Jo-Ann store; but after seeing reviews from a while back calling out the same issues, I fear that story may never be written. read more

I always go to this store, there are some very nice ladies in the day time...but tonight at 6pm I showed a coupon to clerk on my I-phone, and somehow left without it, I ran back to the store about a half hour, and the young blond lady was working the front said it was not there. So my Son tracked it to that same store and my daughter called my number until someone answered my phone, she told the the girl she was trying to find out where her mother's phone was and the girl was very rude to her gave her a hard time. read more

When I think of heaven, it looks a lot like Jo-Ann's-- a sewing notions section, tons of fabrics, craft supplies, beautiful scrapbooking papers... I also love that with the phone app, you can always use great coupons on any purchases. Seriously, I love Jo-Ann's. I felt compelled to write a review about this particular Jo-Ann's out of love for brand as a whole. When I first walked in, i thought "Are they moving somewhere??" Something just seemed off about the whole place-- like there were gaps where merchandising displays should be, fabric bolts were piled in disorganized heaps everywhere, and there were rings of filth on the floor outlining where displays had previously been. In fact, the whole floor was filthy and in poor repair. Something was also off about the lighting-- like slightly creepy? This was not the Jo-Ann's I love! When I went to checkout, I even asked the lady if they were moving or re-arranging things. She acted confused and said that no, everything was normal. I commented that the floor was extremely dirty and she said something about how their cleaning company wasn't very good and it always looked like that. Umm...might want to do something about that? I haven't been back to this location since. Now I'm willing to drive a lot farther south to the "clean" store. I really hope they get this store in shape because I would hate to lose it. It clearly wasn't getting much business, and if someone who loves Jo-Ann's as much as me won't go in again, then they may have a big problem on their hands! read more

I went into Joanns Feb 6 2020. I went there not knowing Tulsa still has Hancocks at other locations. The store reminds you of Hancocks but I have been in this store before and their sour dispositions even when I purposefully smiled, grinned, overstated kindliness and they were still sour. I spent 63.00 after the discount and I was very disappointed that the clerk didn't want to spend time showing me where to get materials for upholstery, padding etc., You looked at her watch, spoke on her store phone saying I am with a customer very rudely looking as if she wanted to go back up front rather than to help me. I promise you when I asked her anything she gave the 'figuring out what to get', up to me. The workers are older looking but I think one of them is just premature gray the reason I thought they were so rude and I thought this MUST a family owned franchise because surely JoAnn Fabrics would NOT let people treat customer so badly. The one star rating was only because I was relieved when I read the other reviews that I wasn't the only person treated this way. I am of another ethnicity and thought it was personal. I truly hope that these employees or owners will read this review and feel humiliate enough to want to change. Customer service is truly not emphasized like when I was working but this was a horrible experience. They have 40% off coupons on entire purchase that is regular priced, on their online App but everything is marked 40% and they point that out so that the advertising isn't really benefiting its like the retailer raising the items price so they can give what seems a large discount. I was pulling up my App to get a coupon and the clerk spent so much time telling the customer how to pull the App up that she sounded like she didn't want to give the discount when she could have just pulled it up for her. the same woman they didn't want to wait on me took 20 min..to let a little girl count out her change, not that I had a problem with that but the line was getting longer and I was letting a few people who only had one or two items in front because she seems to be making a point of not wanting to wait on me. I don't know whats going on, maybe employee disgruntlement, but I wont be back and wish i could send this to cooperate. In fact I will. And yes, the isles were still stuffed and maneuvering basket and material was next to impossible. read more
