A destination store. It's wonderful. Let me tell you how it is. I used to make up fake fun things to do in Tulsa (like go to the amusement park, or the zoo, which really is nice,) so the Other R would enjoy going to Tulsa, while his mom hit the needlework shops. Then, when he got too old, I'd drive to Tulsa myself, leaving at 5 a.m., and arriving at 9 a.m. Usually this would be for an odd item, like a Shepherd's Bush mat. I am working in Tulsa this week, and knew exactly where I'd go, without a doubt. It's been a couple of years, so I never put the Silver Needle's review on Yelp. I did continue to order from them, alot. Alot of my income goes to this store. This store carries all the well known designers, from the gorgeous Long Dog design samplers (she's a french designer, with fine beautiful samplers, very detailed), to my favorites; Bent Creek, Shepherd's Bush, Just Nan, and Olde Colonial Designs. There is an entire store section devoted to SB, and one could literally spend an hour in there trying to decide what to buy. Used to be...when my stash began to get low, to Tulsa I would bring myself, and home I would go with lot's of treasures. They are the first store I saw Vera Bradley at. I don't need to go to Tulsa for that, anymore, cause we have a store in Kansas City. This is one of the few stores in the United States, that carries the Shepherd's Bush hand painted mats. This store has Secret Needle Kits. They make their own pattern, and then kit them. It also has Camp Stitch Alot, which I've never had the pleasure of attending, but would love to. The staff is fantastic. To this day they are in great moods, and it's not cause my income goes to them, it's the energy. There's classes and a stitching area, and store events, for the lucky locals. If I lived in this area, I'd be at this store all the time. But I guess that would take the specialness out of it.

Awesome Haunted house that I will be doing

I especially enjoyed the models for a type of needlework called knotwork and I found some older Prairie Schooler charts with original prices.

Worst service I've ever received. I was the only person in the store browsing for something to buy…read more I walked in, browsed the entire store, stopped by the item I wanted, and waited for someone to help me. I was never greeted when walking inside. After a couple of minutes of waiting, two ladies walk in the door and two sales associates rush to them to greet them and ask them how they are doing and how they can help them. I had to literally shout out "can someone please come and help me?" So nasty, so rude. Those ladies should do better.

I came to pick up my Necklace today and noticed the sign next to the door that said you are at full…read morecapacity so I stood outside. About 3mins later a woman walked into the store (while I was clearly standing next to the sign, making a total of 5) so I followed and an employee told me they are at capacity and can only have 6 customers at a time and asked that I step back outside. I did as I was told. A couple minutes later another woman walked into the store (making it 6 total inside the store) and no one told her to step outside. About 7-10mins later a customer leaves the store (making it 5) and I walk in to be helped. If you are going to keep this sign outside your store, it would be smart to have someone keeping track how many people are actually in the store. I don't want to bring the racial card into this but I am Asian and all the customers were white. I'm sure the staff was not trying to make it seem like it was about race, but when two people ENTER after I was asked to WAIT OUTSIDE, and they're not treated in the same manner, it's either extremely unprofessional and rude or racist.. either way, I'm not sure I'll ever be back
