I stopped here because I need to find ripstop fabric, and I ended up buying 3 more things. 1. The fabric I wanted was for outdoor fabric, which is perfect for what I needed, instead of ripstop. 2. They're 50% off. 3. The color was also perfect. They only have one of that kind! The lady who was helping me was very helpful! She called for help to ask question - aren't they all now equipped with phones so they can do that? She even pointed me the direction where one item I needed was located. Negative: it's a small store, don't expect they carry tons of merchandise, so they only have a very limited items in stock. I could have bought more of the same, if they have 1-2 more of the colors, but I'm just thrilled they have 3 of the items I went there to buy. read more

They have occasional good sales. The personnel are helpful. They are one of the few places left in town for fabric that is not a boutique.

I'm in this Joann's all the time, but mostly out of convenience. Service is very hit or miss. One time I'll come in, staff will be available and friendly. The next, they're almost non existent and rude. Very rarely do they seem to have enough people working. read more

I normally love to shop at Joanns but today there was a girl behind the register that has no clue how to count money. She overcharged me by a dollar and then struggled to count my 71 cents back in change. I hope she gets moved to a diffent area in the store where she is not handling customers money! read more

I am so disappointed in how my curbside pick up has been handled. It's been over 48 hours that I ordered fabric and no one has fulfilled my order or contacted me that it is ready or out of stock. If Jo-Ann fabrics is to busy to fill orders why advertise and encourage curbside pick. Maybe start the day filling orders first. read more

I recently took the Mrs here to do some yarn and fabric shopping. The store is located in the small little shopping center as PetSmart, Ross and Rue21. This was our first visit to this location but we have been to other Jo-Ann's before. The workers were friendly enough and the store clean and organized. They have a great selection of fabrics and arts and crafts items. They have everything you could possible want relative to sewing, fabrics and arts and craft. The parking lot is big with a lot of spaces to pick from. The pricing is expensive to very expensive. This goes for just about everything from the store from the fabrics, scissors to sewing supplies. I mean I could find some of the same stuff for half price what they are charging. I would only shop here for hard to find/ specialty items. Keep in mind that you are going to be spending a lot unless the item is in clearance. read more

I don't know what it is about Joann Fabrics, but they can never get their staffing situation right at ANY location I've been at. That applies for both the Oregon locations I've gone to and the locations back in Illinois I've been to. They are always incredibly understaffed, lines are typically rather log, employees never ask if you need help, and there could be a line of six people at a register with one cashier but another employee will ignore that to go fix a shelf. read more

Customer service is horrible here! The employees talk under theor breath about other customers rightin front of you! They also talk to each while helping you.... Their coupons are confusing and the employees are not trained properly to explain them well. Most people here have a frown on their face and are annoyed to assist you. Cant stand this place anymore. The store has become more of a five and dime store selling imported knick-knacks, wall hanging, garden art and bird houses...Really! it may be the reason they have such a limited fabrics.....yesterday when I was in to pick up some thread, I asked a employee to assist me since I was wearing a cast, granted I got her attention by saying excuse me while she was 8-10 feet from me. She made no attempt me assist me she continued to keep the distance between us while giving me directions. I truly was stunned, then she walked away leaving me standing there lost. Shame on them! I find this particular store to short on employees and service, they have a small collection of fabrics.... really they xont even sell gauze.... bad day there...most likely I will not return. read more

The people are not friendly and really put off about everything. They never smile unless they personally know you from EVERY time I go there, so I stopped saying hello to them. Only go here if you're in a jam becaus of low stock and unpleasant staff. read more

I've came here several times & never had a problem. However I went there this Saturday because the ad said they had fabric for 75% off. When I got there however everything was 70% off. I chose 7 fabrics & had them all cut and at checkout only three were apart of the sale. When I showed the cashier the ad she said that they were "selectively participating" but they had no signs suggesting so. And everything was marked 70% off. Frustrating. Poor marketing on their side. I am so annoyed and frustrated! I was just at Joann's and absolutely got no help! I went in to look for a particular fabric and the fabric counter employees were so busy so I just looked around multiple times for what I wanted. I finally got in line to see if I could get assistance at the cashier counter. She was very sweet and took a few minutes to try to help me but it wasn't her department so I totally understand. The fabric counter was finally clear and I asked an employee for help. Instead of showing me where the fabric I wanted was, just gave me directions of where it should be. Obviously it was NOT there and I just left the storm. Not worth my time. I left the store pissed af!!! I usually have great customer service there but not today! Last time a checked a yard of fabric wasn't 35 inches. They can't cut the fabric in a straight line and under cut the fabric. I've been going there for years but I am very disappointed in them this time. read more

Our experience was horrible. We were checking out for 20 min and we could not get the computers or the checkout card reader to work right so eventually, we had to go over to the other cash register and do it over. As this is our go to fabric place, we are hesitant to go back. read more

what i like a lot about this store is the crafty books. they send a 40% off one item coupon every 10 minutes, so i can always get a book at a great price. Also, the button selection cannot be beat. read more

My husband went in this location on 9/18/20 just to buy some thread and Velcro. Being a guy and not knowing what to get, after half an hour of looking for someone for help. He finally found an old woman that worked there, she tried very hard to ignore him, but he finally got her attention and reluctantly help him. She Pointed him towards the general thread area, Then he asked her for more advice in trying to match a specific color in tread, she handed him black tread and said here just use this one (which didn't match at all) in a snarky tone. He replied Im trying to get a closer match, and again very snarky said that's what we have and walked away. My husband continued looking for another 20 minutes and ended up finding a semi close match without her help. Lastly he asked for assistance to get 6 inches of Velcro because that how much he needed. Another girl helped him and acted as if it was a huge waste of her time, and cut his Velcro accordingly and finished with tell my husband in a super sarcastic tone "wow a whole 63 cents of Velcro. He went to the cashier checked out and left. He nor I will ever be back to this store. read more

This store has great deals on yarn. They have a pretty good assortment of yarn as well. They have tons of fabric at very fair prices and the staff has always been very pleasant and helpful. I have been going here for almost 5 years and I would recommend it to my friends. read more

I was disappointed at first, as the lady who said she would meet me at a certain fabric area and help me choose a fabric apparently forgot about me. I waited ten minutes before I gave up and found someone else to help me. The first lady should have called someone else to help me, or should have at least been honest and say it would be a bit of a wait and ask me to take a number so she could call it when it came up. Anyway, the lady who did help me - MJ - was wonderful! She went above and beyond to help me. I appreciated her knowledge, expertise and friendly attitude. : ) read more

Let's see, where should I start...... I am impressed on how the store has been cleaned up. It was always very disturbing to walk in and there was crap everywhere, most of it on the floor. I loved the one aisle that someone had decided to paint the carpet with puff paint and it stayed that way for months maybe even years. The store now, is much neater and clean. However, as far as customer service, well.... if your in one of those moods where you want good laugh, go to Joanns in Gresham. There are some employees that do a good job, but the older ladiers are some of the rudiest people I have ever met. Walking up to the cutting counter is alot like the nazi soup episode from Seinfeld ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZ3AOmZ2fps ) Oh, and don't ask for help because that's where you really get the attitude.
