They have rows and rows of Scrapbooking supplies and Jewelry making needs. Joann's is still a great place for fabric, thread, and sewing needs. They even have Sewing machines on display in the store and offer sewing classes. Check their website for the current class schedule. A few tips...If you need anything cut, grab a number before you pull your product. Sometimes the wait for the cutting table can be long. Also, never check out without a coupon. So many good things Over the years Joann's has provided t-shirts, markers, fabric, and much more. Our daughter recently purchased some fabric and a zipper and came home and made a fabric pencil case - the nicest i have ever seen. And the team at Joann's were helpful in getting the items. Our daughter also used some clay and paint to make some magnets for the refrigerator. She needed the magnets and I picked them up for her at Joann's... easy to find and just the right size and strength to hold things on the fridge door. We also like the framing and the craft items here. The team working there is always friendly and helpful. read more

I went to Joann Fabrics today because it was the closest crafting store on my way home. I went to pick up a quilling tool for a project that I was working on. I had trouble finding the aisle that the quilling took was on. I tried looking up the product on their app and it said it was available in store but didn't say where. This was frustrating because I couldn't find anyone to ask. It is a specialty craft and wouldn't necessarily stand out. I looked for a employee to ask for help. There was one person helping customers at the cutting counter and one employee helping people at check out. In the end I found what I was looking for. I understand that people are trying to hire more employees at the moment. It would be more user friendly if locations for items were on the app or online. I know there are other stores; craft places included that have this tool at our disposal and it is nice when there isn't someone to ask. I would go back to Joann Fabrics but I would make sure I know what I am looking for ahead of time or order ahead. read more

Heather was the exemplary example of how you should NEVER treat a new customer. Smart mouth extremely dry with answering questions. First off no greeting just what's your measurements? Do you need to add any? I replied I already did. Then she proceeds to cut the fabric. It's twice as wide!!!! I asked for another cut she looks at me like I'm STUPID!!!! WE ONLY DO ONE CUT!!!! I'm sorry Heather this is my first time here I'm NOT material store savvy. She proceeded to fold the huge cloth and not hand but push it towards me. She just stared as I picked up the fabric that I had to pay twice as much for a TOTAL waste. Informed her colleague of her attitude she shrugged, grinned and eventually said yea she's got a bad attitude. I'll never go back. Thanks Heather for this piss poor experience. Extremely Helpful and Happy to give customer service. I have always had a pleasant experience at this location. As a business owner, its extremely important all fabrics are cut to the tee. If I am unaware of sales or coupons that are occurring (doesn't happen often since they have an app, snailmail and email), employees make me aware of what they have for that day or week. Painful Saturday afternoon experience here. I had never been to one of these before. I needed a piece of black velvet for a work project. I had to take a number to have the fabric cut. When I got my number there were 15 people ahead of me. I stuck it out and got the velvet. I headed straight for the check out line and guess what? There were 15 people ahead of me to check out. I was in this store for 45 minutes on a Saturday. Also it was about 70 degrees on this Saturday in January and I was literally sweating in here just standing around. Should it be this difficult? Fourth errand stop today. I walked in. Not much in the way of customers, but I passed at least six clerks lookin' busy, and nobody asked if I needed assistance. I looked lost, I'm tellin' ya. I needed a replacement button and finally found the button department. And I had my jacket with me for the match. I popped a button in Florida, retrieved it, got it home safely and put it in safekeeping in one of the seven button departments I maintain. I know where they all are, and last evening, I judiciously and thoroughly searched all seven departments. (They're all in my bedroom.) No button. And that's what brought me to Jo-Ann's. There was no match for this button in the store. I decided to get replacement buttons for the jacket pockets and use one of the removed buttons to fix the front of the jacket. That being decided, I found a workable button for the two jacket pockets and made my way to checkout. Lovely, lovely and friendly checkout clerk. No line. $1.74 for four buttons, two of which I will use. I paid the whole $1.74 in coin. She was patient, and there was nobody behind me. And we had some friendly banter. That's what earned the additional star -- the checkout clerk. When I got home, unpacking my errand treasures, it occurred to me that there is an eighth button department. I raced to my bedroom and opened the lid to button department #8. Crap in a handbag. There sat the missing button. read more

I think I have found my new favorite craft store. Lately, I have been into making my own pillows therefore which led me to here. I walked in and immediately found hundreds of different fabrics and materials. After 5 minutes, an employee asked me if I needed help and she happily helped me find my new perfect fabric for my next craft project. I wanted to note that this store is very well organized and love the fact that many of their employees are arts and craft people as well. I will be coming back very soon! read more

I'll start my review by saying, I've not been in many Jo-Ann Fabrics. I do know, however, that this location has a TON of nice "designer" fabrics for "home" use. I am in the process of picking out curtains for every room in my house, and haven't been a huge fan of the stuff I've seen in stores. I came here hoping for some inspiration, and I definitely went home with a bunch of fabric samples. These definitely aren't your grandma's curtains! Great selection, great patterns and colors. I'll probably be back to buy some fabric to make said curtains :). read more

This is a really great craft store, probably one of the best in West County. They specialize in sewing and fabric and they do carry fabric in a variety of styles. They have a large sewing notions department and they do sell sewing machines also. They carry a lot of art supplies as well - paints, brushes, markers, everything for art. They have a custom framing department and they also have children's kits and gifts. There is a good sized floral area, and of course scrapbooking and jewelry. I'm a crafter so I'm there probably once a week. Be sure to use a coupon, they constantly have coupons available online and through the mail. read more

Great place if you are looking for staples and notions and getting a lot of fabric in bulk. The coveted coupons offer 50% off and 40% off regular priced items, however not eligible for sale items. BUT, there are tons of sales all the time so if you need something, just wait a week or two and it will be on sale. It's my go to for sewing and quilting supplies. The fabric is not going to be the quality that you'll get at a high end quilt store, but there's a huge selection and great for smaller projects that you need a particular fabric for. Also my go-to for batting as you can grab it on sale and not have to sell your body parts to pay for it and finish a project. Also check out the clearance items, it's not like holiday stuff will every really go out of style - just out of season. So, if you have a place to store stuff, it's a steal! read more

If you need ANY kind of fabric you are likely to find it here. With holiday wreath and bow making I have been in here quite a few times to buy tulle, burlap, deco-mesh and ribbon. They have some fun and funky burlap and lots of other items to get your creative juices flowing. While I am not into making my own jewelry they have a scandalous amount of jewelry making supplies. If you are looking for ribbon they have a wide variety to choose from in a variety of fabric types, widths, and colors. Even if you are not into sewing or crafting they have some nice decorative stuff and you are sure to get inspired to do something creative. read more

While I am not blaming the entire company for one person being a horrible human being, they need to worry about that when considering who they allow to work for them. One particular person by the name of Ann is the worst customer-service associate I can even imagine. She treats people very poorly with no reason and makes up lies to justify her behavior. This has cost me ALL respect for this company. They should not be employing people that think this is an acceptable way to treat people. If she was gone I might give them a second chance; but as long as she is there I wish I was able to give negative ratings. read more

Seriously understaffed on a weekday. I understand that weekends are busy with lots of shoppers, but honestly they need to have at least 2 people at the cash registers on the weekdays. When it's not busy, one could be doing something else close by. They have some yarn colors at this location that the South County location doesn't have. read more

Just found out JoAnn's let one of the best employees go without giving him a warning. Apparently honest shoppers let a manager know about a shoplifter and had watched her put "stuff" in her large bag. He approached her and asked her a question. JoAnn's let this very nice, very helpful, honest man go over this without any warnings. So... I get to pay more because "shoplifting is figured into their prices". BS - no wonder we are where we are! Call the COPS - stop this! This man needs to get his job back. Disgusted with JoAnn's and their female decisions. Apparently their HR Dept didn't even know "she" let him go. I would have given a better rating if they had not "followed through because of a policy"... give the guy a warning. read more
