I recorded to try a burger since I don't each them often. I got the RKA Rodeo Burger with French fries. The burger is topped with pepper jack cheese, onion rings, bacon and bbq sauce .... WOWZA!!!! The brother came out hot, Fresh and very tasty I loved the cheese combo and onion rings topping. The fries were fresh, hot and crispy. The serving was quite generous as well. I didn't think too much into the reservation but when I showed up it was definitely not the place I recall (now known as Pier 6) but I recall looking at photos that it would be worth checking it out. We were promptly seated and greeted by the waitress. The lunch menu is brief with a few items in each section of Apps, salads, sandwiches and plates. We opted for the calamari as we heard it was a good app to start with. At the same time we ordered drinks which consisted of coffee, Expresso martini and the aperol spritz. The calamari came out and it was a good amount. However, they were very small and it was dry. We got the perch sandwich and it came out with an enormous amount of shoe string fries which imo are the worse type as they are typically over fried and so were these. Frying a good filet of fish is usually a bad idea and this sandwich would be better served to be grilled when your fries are fried and the calamari is fried too. Service was slow for being an empty restaurant. Note: we had a 4 year old with us and the key is to always rush their food asap so they stay content. Since we waited a bunch of time, we had some ancy people at the table after 1 hour 45 minute lunch where the room was essentially empty. Much improvement can be had otherwise spend your dollars at Pier 6 for a much better experience.

If anyone has followed my reviews, I try to eat at local restaurants and give fair and honest reviews. We drove from Pittsburgh to Buffalo and decided to stop at Shirley's for breakfast. The coffee was hot. The waitress Michele came over and took our order. my wife's order was fine. She ordered the omelette and Texas toast came out perfect. My order was a different story. I ordered the number 4, 2 eggs over easy hashbrowns breakfast sausage, patty, and Italian toast with no butter. Nothing out of the ordinary, but the waitress brought me my plate with the toast very barely toasted and the hashbrowns should've been called hash whites because they were not cooked and they were cold. Take a look at the picture. No waitress should be bringing this to a patron. Look at this picture and make your own decision. Zoom in to the top of the plate, what is that? I did ask to have my toast darker but I did not want to send my whole plate back because my wife was already eating her breakfast. When I was paying my bill, I was asked how was everything and I explained that my breakfast was cold. The manager or owner came over asked a few questions and apologized. I said it's not your fault and I'm not looking to have anything comped. I just made the statement that I came in for a hot breakfast and I got a cold one. There are a lot of restaurants in Erie and unfortunately, I picked the wrong one for breakfast.
