But this is not a gym; it is a training facility where you work with trainers to tackle your physical goals. Next, this is about my trainer, Kevin Abandy. Kevin has been my trainer for exactly 8 weeks now and he is awesome! I made the decision to get a trainer after my birthday to truly invest in myself. You can invest in your own skills and education, but the return is almost always indirect. But with a trainer, specifically Kevin, I gained 8 lbs of muscle mass and lost 8% body fat (approx. 13-lbs of fat) after 8 weeks of training with him. Also, at the start of my training, I had back pain (from past injury to T12) and knee pains (from under the kneecap). Through Kevin's program and coaching, my pain has been reduced to near 0 with full mobility -- like squatting all the way down and up with 200-lbs of weight on my shoulders with no knee pain. I would give a 1-star review to keep it from getting crowded, but it would be hard for me to not tell others about the good that comes out of this place. My mom is 70 and she's training with Kevin too! And the story is the same for her... knee pains - GONE. Back pains - GONE. Kacy is big on progression and basically operates under the assumption that you can always go up in weight, which has pushed my strength up (especially hip thrusts and RDLs). It's small group training, which keeps the energy up because everyone's working at the same time. He'll keep you accountable and make sure you finish your sets and there's a decent chance you'll leave with a random nickname you didn't ask for but it does keep things entertaining. In my first month I've already seen measurable changes in strength and body composition, so it's been interesting to see the progress show up pretty quickly. I always seemed to over-strain something and end up injured, so I was pretty hesitant about jumping back into weight training after having a baby. That's when I decided to look for a personal trainer. From day one, I was impressed by Kacy's knowledge and expertise. He has this uncanny ability to gauge exactly how much I can lift just by watching me do a single set--which I'm guessing comes from years of experience, but it's still impressive to see in action. Here's the thing about Kacy that might throw you off at first: he often looks distracted, like he's not paying attention. But don't let that fool you! He's tracking everything--your form, your reps, your timing--and he'll call you out if you're slacking on your sets. It's actually kind of amazing how dialed in he is even when it doesn't look like it. If you're looking for a knowledgeable trainer who will push you and keep you accountable (even when you think he's not watching), Kacy's your guy. Highly recommend!

I genuinely feel stronger and can see muscle gain from consistently taking these classes. It's the best way to detox from the day, release stress, and reset both mentally and physically. All of the instructors are incredibly friendly, and each one brings their own unique strengths and energy to class. Alison was the first person to remember my name, and she has been so welcoming since my very first day. That personal touch made me feel comfortable and part of the community right away. Jules' classes are full of challenges, positive vibes, and amazing music that makes time fly because the class is so much fun. Gabby has such a soothing voice and creates really thoughtful, well-balanced sequences. Susan always encourages you to try your very best, which makes her classes both motivating and rewarding. I also really miss taking classes with Joanne, Danielle, Tracy and Nolan. I wish they taught more often at the Chino Hills location! I had to stop training for a while due to financial challenges and then COVID, but when I decided to seriously prioritize my health again about two years ago, I knew I didn't want a quick fix, I wanted something sustainable. Finding Emmanuel again at his own studio was exactly what I needed. He's helped me shift my mindset in the best way. Instead of focusing on the number on the scale, he's taught me to value strength, consistency, and overall health. I've learned so much about the importance of muscle, protein, calories, and how everything works together to create real, lasting results, mind body soul! Beyond that, the environment he's created is amazing. It's very family-oriented, welcoming, and supportive. All the trainers contribute to a positive atmosphere where you never feel judged or out of place,something that can be hard to find in a gym from a women's perspective. He tailors the exercise routine that uniquely fits me at my age and fitness level and grows as those level changes. I never get bored since the routine rarely repeats daily or even weekly. at age over 40 and working a in front of a laptop for long hours a day, I actually look forward to working out each time. You only live once, and your health is your ultimate investment. Don't cheat your own health. After 3 years I definitely feel stronger , better, more fit and less stressed. Unfortunately, Joe no longer offers this program because there were not enough sign-ups. But it was so fun and most importantly my workouts were effective. I will be calling this weekend to see if this type of sessions is been offered again. The facility was always clean with plenty of type of equipment to utilize during my workout. As a beginner, I always felt comfortable and everyone around helps me maintain my motivation. The gym was also very local which was a bonus for me. Some days I even walk to my appointment.
