My husband and I have been using them for over 40 years, and if ever there was an issue with something that they've repaired, they have returned immediately to rectify it. We've always had the service contract. For a small monthly charge, everything in the house is covered under the plan if something goes wrong. Obviously, there's a charge to replace parts, but they're one of the few companies that answers the phone 24/7 when you call in an emergency, and they usually can schedule an appointment right away. I read the other review about the garbage disposal replacement. I recently had the same experience. Yes, it was very expensive to have our garbage disposal replaced, but my husband can't do it anymore and I don't have the strength or the time. The Danboise agent gave me three quotes, one of which included the option of me purchasing the disposal myself for him to install. It was still a bit pricey, but I chose that option and he came back the next day to do the installation. I bought a higher-end disposal so that it would last longer, but unfortunately it was missing a part when the plumber opened the box. I thought I would have to wait for him to return the following day to install the replacement after I went to the store to exchange it, but he was kind enough to do it the same day, right after I returned from the store. Also, the day before, the Danboise HVAC technician came to do our A/C inspection and told me that our A/C was clogged with debris and cottonwood fibers. I needed to have it cleaned. He said he could do it for a charge (which was quite steep), or he could show me how to do it if I got the hose out. I connected the hose, and he showed me how to clean the A/C unit and told me when to clean it. The Danboise technicians don't try and rip you off but are very helpful--and reliable.

Called around 8 a.m. after discovering that our gas furnace had stopped firing up overnight. He arrived at 1:15 and diagnosed the problem quickly, a dying circuit board that was not providing consistent power to the igniter. He quoted the cost of replacing - around $450 but was concerned about replacing such an expensive piece on a furnace that had perhaps already exceeded its life expectancy. It was a honest assessment. My husband and I had been expecting both the heating and a/c to go out for the past few years, based on their age (about 25 yrs) and well-worn condution. He knew some tricks to get the furnace running but it failed again that night, consistent with the nature of the problem. Thankfully, the salesman John - 35 yrs on the job, was scheduled to visit that morning. He helped us explore various options and discussed our needs and requirements. He listened, evaulated and eventually sold us the least expensive model with no pressure to buy the high-end units. Such a pleasant experience! Incredibly, installation was the next day. Mike, 15 yrs with the company, and Andy, with around 5 yrs, worked as a team to install a new furnace, a/c and thermostat. They used drop cloths to cover the floor where they would go in and out with equipment and they swept up any debris they created. After a horrible experience with another company whose only beneficial comment (after 4 hours) was…read morethat I needed a new furnace & new air conditioner, I called 3 more companies for quotes. I was by far the most impressed with Kristian. He had previously been an installer/technician but has recently become a sales person. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable; we actually enjoyed chatting too much! He explained to me that their company actually makes and installs new ductwork with their furnaces so that they don't have to retrofit what's already there. He was also the only one who noticed that my water heater was old and would need replacing soon. His quote was a bit higher than the other that I'd narrowed it down to, but I liked the Daikin furnace that he quoted because it has a very good reputation, the best warranty in the business and is environmentally friendlier than others. Additionally, rather than just doing a quote with line items, he attached pictures of each piece of equipment that would be installed, which I thought was a nice touch. I really wanted to go with him, but I had to think it over. In the meantime, I started to schedule a couple more appointments with other companies that offered 0% financing. I was going to wait to make my decision until I'd gotten the last quote or 2. But Kristian texted me on a SUNDAY NIGHT! to ask what he could do to help with my decision. I told him that if he could do 0% financing, I would go with him. He managed to arrange that for 12 months and I signed the contract that evening. Of course, this happened during an incredible heat spell, with temperatures in the upper 90s with matching humidity, so they couldn't get out as quickly as I'd hoped. When they were scheduled, Steve came out as the lead technician, with Brandon and Alex helping the first day and mostly just Brandon the second day. They got here at about 8:15 a.m. and didn't leave until about 7:30 p.m. BOTH nights! They worked super hard, hardly taking breaks at all, and they were short at that. Steve promised that they'd have the air conditioner working before they left the first night, and indeed, they did. It was the first time in over a week that I walked into a cool house. When Steve removed the furnace, he came upstairs and said that the water heater was about to blow, so I went downstairs to look at it. It was, indeed, bowing out. Kristian had already quoted a price but I was originally going to wait. But when I saw it myself (leaking, rusting and with a definite bubble), I texted him and told him I wanted that replaced as well. He was able to add it to the financing without a problem. Requested for tune-up service on central a/c unit. Tech took panels off the central a/c unit and…read morespray 1 can of coil cleaner. I had already performed this service about 2 summers ago. I Googled what is generally performed for standard a/c tune up. Here is what I did not see the Tech doing. Did not check refrigerant level. Did not open up furnace to inspect or clean evaporator coils. Did not test refrigerant levels. Did not lubricate moving parts. Did not test capacitors or amp draws. Asked for hot water tank flush. Mine had a weird ball drain valve. The last hot water tank installer put in to let out more sediment out from tank. It was not standard. Power Tech had to procure a fitting in order to allow garden hose type thread to be installed. It did not help that my floor drain was clogged in the basement. Another drain was located and the Tech's self coiling hose had to be stretched out to extreme extent. It put pressure on the fitting. And that made it so the water was squirting out of the fitting and getting all over the basement floor. The Tech only drained the tank once. No flushing/purging/refilling to get all the sediment out. No safety and components check. Tech should have stated a proper flushing could not be perform. Tech was on the phone much of the time. I ultimately left the room so tech could take his calls. 6/24/26 I wanted to update my review after owner commented. When I hired you, your demeanor should have been professional from the start. No customer should have to call you back a second time to ask you do to a proper job. You initially earned my trust when I hired your company. You have lost my trust by performing a really subpar job, but still collected top tier pay for the services. You have cost me to spend double and hire another company who will do the proper job. The job you performed was something I could, and have, done in the past MYSELF. I would not recommend your company.

It's not the same business and my experience with Mastercraft was not good, just from basic customer service perspective. I made an appointment to troubleshoot a non-working AC. They said they couldn't give me a time window until the day of. So I called at 8:30 and the office told me should be afternoon maybe around 1. So I skip lunch figuring I'll grab something on the way over when I get the call. No call, so I end up eating only crackers. 4:30pm rolls around and I call and she says I'm next. Next, it's 6pm and the office is closed and I'm wondering if they're still coming or the tech ran out of time. So I call the after-hours emergency service and the on-call tech did call me back and said the tech is still coming. The tech calls me at 7pm and so I rush to the house to meet him and he gets there at 7:30pm. He diagnoses the problem in 2 minutes (no pressure, 20 year old unit, need new). And oh by the way they probably can't install a new one for another month. They're obviously very successful yet they can't be bothered to invest in a system to keep the customer informed when they're coming. Lucky I didn't take the day off work since I work close enough to rush home but it's just a basic lack of customer respect. Anyway bottom line is that Suburban no longer exists, it's just a name (now Suburban Mechanical) that forwards to another business. On the bright side, I found a small very capable business that was able to come out and schedule me within a week.
