They've done everything from show up on a weekend evening at my home to help trace the source of a leak/drywall damage to completely gutting and remodeling our four-unit apartment building. I've worked with every facet of their company - administration, project management, carpenters, painters, subcontractors, etc. I always go to Monet first because their quality and honesty are incomparable. And I've worked with many different types of contractors, for many projects, on many levels. Their communication is almost always excellent, so when delays happen or issues come up (because issues will come up, especially on large projects) I'm able to get answers on revised estimates and schedule impact. Monet is also excellent about billing to estimates and keeping to schedule as much as is within their control, especially if that's an important aspect of the project for you. Any issues I've had with Monet have been extremely minor and the owner, Dave, and his team have always been quick to respond to any concerns I have. Do I occasionally have to chase them for a response? Yes. Usually? No (and especially not on anything critical). Are they frequently busy, and it's sometimes hard to get on their schedule? Yes. However, I've learned to avoid contractors who are always readily available, no signs of busy-ness in sight. Because the good ones...yeah, they're hard to get a hold of sometimes because they're exactly that - good at what they do and, therefore, in high demand. On a final note - because of the sheer volume of work they've done for us, I've also been in the position to see what happens when things come up that need repair/attention months or even a year or more later. And consistent with their excellence and integrity, they've been right there to stand behind their work down the road.

Their quote is very reasonable and we didn't have to do a lot of back and forth with insurance adjuster. The work itself is great. All crew respect that we were still living in the house and cleaned up before they leave daily. The quality of the work is great. The installation of the oven was very tricky because of the various issues we ran into. Jose was the one who identified these issues for us. Jose also built this beautiful railings for us! These guys did extensive repairs on three bathrooms and the family room after we had water damage…read more Most of the guys he had working for them had no idea what they were doing. The downstairs bathroom was never given a second coat of paint and the floor wasn't leveled so the flooring is now breaking up. Shower door won't stay close. The vanity they recommended I get from someone they knew has unpainted spot. They also got a stone top for the vanity from the same friend and it now turning yellow. The plumbing in all the bathrooms was done by one of their workers, not a plumber and is so jerry rigged that I'm just waiting for it to fail. In the family room the track lighting is falling off because it wasn't installed properly. After they installed the flooring in the family room they dragged a piano across it and scratched the floor. After some arguing they did replace the flooring. Over all I was very disappointed and their work is not holding up. Stay away!

You know how some companies are so good that you hesitate to post how great they really are because…read moreyou don't want them to get 'too busy' kind of in a selfish way? These guys are that good! I had the chance to work with Snohomish Handyman (Pete and Mark) for three different projects. Project 1-this was our "get to know you" project. I had taken our cedar sauna apart as part of a home project, and had gingerly taken the cedar bits out so that the sauna could be rebuilt. Well, Pete and Mark didn't just put our sauna back together. It was craftsmanship at its best. One would never know that it had ever been taken apart. They even assisted with a design feature improving on my suggestion(s). Project 2-so after our great success with Project 1 I asked Pete if he would help with a list of 'things' that needed doing around our house. Some of these were basic like repairing sink stoppers, installing doorknobs, etc. The biggest of Project 2 was to rebuild our garbage slide in the kitchen which required the mechanical part to be removed from the cabinetry, a new platform built to support the sliding mechanism, and then reinstalling of the mechanism on the new support piece. When Pete did the reinstall, he made several significant improvements that improve things overall. Project 3-Pete and Mark successfully replaced several pieces of fascia on our 30-year-old Lindal solid cedar home, that over the years had started to degrade at the ends. (I think many homeowners are familiar with this phenomenon.) Pete was able to successfully source the necessary high-grade cedar in a very difficult market (pricing, yikes!). They stained the cedar prior to its installation, which meant at least two days of curing. They then installed the fascia board and edging in the areas to be replaced. But they didn't stop there. Pete and Mark custom crafted copper coverage for each piece they replaced. This repair was executed with diligence and expertise, and was beyond the scope of many other crafts people I've spoken with. Note the breadth of the work they completed our residence? They executed repairs of the simple stuff with the same degree of care and attention to detail as they did all the big stuff. They have a broad range of capabilities and expertise and are friendly and easy to work with. I found their pricing model straightforward. So, what's the best part? These are honest, trustworthy, hard-working folks who really want to do a good job for you! So let's keep them busy... But remember, not too busy as we still have a bunch of projects that need completing :-)

We asked Pete for help designing and building a modern looking hogwire fence to replace an old…read morepost-on-pipe decorative fence that was installed on top of a short concrete wall. I was really hoping to avoid damaging the concrete, and Pete came up with a great solution to leave the existing pipe imbedded in the wall, remove the post only, and buy posts that had the core drilled out to put back on to the pipe. This alone saved a considerable amount of time and money in my project and more than paid for his services! Further, he took my really rough drawings and helped improve the design to make it stronger, and had all the expertise to execute the build to a high standard! In the end, I ended up with a fence that looked WAY better than I ever dreamed! I can't recommend Pete enough: he produced excellent work, was willing to teach me (and my curious kiddos!), and was one of the most professional and nicest handymen I've ever hired. I certainly won't hesitate to call him for any other projects that I have coming up.
