After 10 years of chronic pain and a previous ACDF surgery, I was referred to Dr. Barnett. After one visit discussing all of the previous treatments and current MRI, she suggested surgery, but something less invasive than the two previous doctors I had seen. She was very clear in why she recommend what she wanted to do and set clear expectations. A month later, she does the Laminectomy at Emory at Johns Creek. She was so gentle and comforting the day of surgery and held my hand as a went under. Three weeks later, I am walking, literally pain free, without any fusion and without tons of post operative meds. I have been so pleased with her care, her staff, and the experience I would recommend her over any other neurosurgeon in ATL. She is truly amazing at what she does! God Bless Dr. Barnett.

All I ever got from neurologists was "why? it's cheap and it works" or "it's already the lowest dose, you can't taper off". And I needed blood work done. He took me seriously, acknowledged what I wanted to do with my own body (this is not fatal, annoying more than anything else). He helped me taper off the drug and sent me to a hematologist (who also was wonderful). If you have RLS or PLMD and need help managing it, he's the expert to go to. The rest of the staff is really nice, too.
