This is by far the best experience I've had at a LabCorp! The office was opened 15 minutes early allowing guests to come in to check in. I was greeted by a wonderful woman name Uniqua. There was a slight hiccup in communication between my office and LabCorp coding for my test. She immediately jumped on the phone with customer service and assisted in the process to make sure that I would be able to have my blood work done today. Within five minutes it was taken care of and I was in the back getting blood drawn by her. She caused me zero pain and TONS of laughs. I definitely recommend you visiting this office! Thank you for being so kind Uniqua! My mom had previously come to this location and told me she had a wonderful experience with Uniqua as well and was hoping that I would get her! Very disappointing experience at Labcorp. The restroom had no toilet paper, no seat covers, and no hand towels! This is not the first time I've had a bad experience there, previously, they were out of soap. As you can imagine, the toilet bowl was not very clean either. This is a place that has to be sanitary. One star is too much for this place. The "express" check in is a joke. I was second in line waiting outside . They opened from lunch late. I was eventually called the desk to check in again after having already done so at the kiosk. I was called up third - not sure why. The girl behind the desk was so unprofessional. She clearly hates her job and her life. She had no personality , didn't effectively communicate what she was doing or what I was waiting for. We walked in without an appointment. The receptionist was very helpful in helpinghelp us understand how to check in. At first we thought we were gonna have to wait an hour. But for some reason they took us in within 10 minutes after checking in. My husband and me went in at the same time, and I have to say the caregivers were very encouraging in helping us feel comfortable. It was quick an easy. This Labcorp location does not deserve such a low rating. My appt was for a weekday morning and I arrived on time. I waited a while because their system was down so my provider had to send me a pdf of my lab order. If I had come with a physical copy, my wait would've been around 10 minutes at most. The two phlebotomists working were both perfectly pleasant and the one I got was super sweet. She was very quick and relatively painless with drawing blood. I deducted a star because Labcorps online system tends to be down frequently in my experience. Overall, if you are an understanding person with common sense, you will have no issues at this location. read more

I've literally never left a review until now. this was the worst experience I've had relating to any medical issue. And that's saying a lot. Their location says it opens at 7:30 both online and on their door, so that's when I arrived. they didn't open their doors until after 8, so I, along with a few other people waited in the cold for over 30 minutes. when they finally let us in we asked if the time on their door was correct and they said "yes" rudely and walked away. They have absolutely no organization and they even started doing walk-ins out of order so I saw people who arrived for a walk-in go ahead of me and get their labs done. the staff was rude and unprofessional. the Phlebotomist didn't even communicate before they inserted the needle, which I've never had happen before... overall a horrible experience. Be careful if you use them. They are not a true Labcorp location, they are a subsidiary of Labcorp which a lot of insurance like mine don't cover since they are out of network. very misleading since it doesn't state anywhere that their company name is Dianon Systems. If you look on their signs and even google they are listed as LABCORP. A $20 copayment can easily turn into almost $200 because of this false advertising. read more

I challenge anybody to find a bigger set of jerks in the city of Cumming than the people operating the Marketplace Blvd location. My doctor gave me a lab kit to perform at home so I wouldn't have to sit in their lobby for an hour and a half. When I went to just drop it off, they INSISTED I had to check in and be seen just to drop off the ready to go kit. The front desk lady, who appears to have come to work straight from the club, with runny make up and acting hung over AF, said "I don't care what your doctor said, she doesn't set OUR policies." Somehow she doesn't understand LabCorp policies of being allowed to drop off kits for convenience. read more

Went to get my lab and it was closed. There was a line of people ar 7:30 am. A woman comes out the door does not speak to us and hangs a note on the door that they are closed. I had to ask why she said due to no staffing. read more

There were multiple signs saying only 5 people were allowed in the lobby, so I went in to sign in at the kiosk as the front desk receptionist said and go outside to wait. She did not give me any other instructions. I come back after 20 minutes of not hearing anything, and the front desk receptionist said I didn't sign in even though she clearly saw me at the kiosk. She told me I had to fill out a paper and wait. I mentioned that I had another appointment to make and asked if I could come back later. She said no and asked me to wait 5 minutes. 10 minutes pass, and I am going to be late for my other appointment. I got up to tell the receptionist I have to leave when I am called back to do the test. The person collecting my specimen was nice and helpful, but I am still appalled by the receptionist who rolled her eyes at me when I left. read more

Also giving you different directions and then yelling at you when there's no sign posted and you have not been told about those directions. Horrible Customer Service. My husband was in there in the lobby on a walker they had so many people in the lobby. He fell, and was taken to the hospital in ambulance. ($8000) later. If there were an option to give a minus 5 stars I would give that. This is without any doubt the worst run medical/lab facility I have ever been to. My doctor sent me here for a simple blood test and I've waited for over an hour and 30 minutes with no end in sight! The staff seems to be very inept and very non-caring about anyone's time. It is inefficiently run and poorly staffed. I honestly will change doctors if I ever have to come back here again. Extremely disgusted with every aspect of this lab. I can't imagine what is in store for me once I go behind those doors. I'm praying that the actual techs are capable of this job! read more

Person was on lunch from noon to well after 2. If you're in the queue and leave it's a "refusal". Ridiculous. Who has time to wait over two hours because someone takes a long lunch?!? Awful. I downloaded this app just to let you know how sh!tty this place is. The people are beyond rude, flat out A-holes to be specific. There is no signage for lunch and when people piled up at the door wondering what was going on the ignorant POS opens the door and in the most rude way possible tells everyone they are closed for their lunch hour until two. It was 12:45 when we were told that. Lunch hour? Finally getting inside several people were told that they would be seen within 20-35 minutes and we all sat there for over two hours. When we walked up to the counter to get an update they said have a seat we'll be with you in a moment. Went there yesterday with the wife. The procedure appears to be the following: 1. Walk in door go to front desk. 2. Sign your name onto a sign in sheet on a clip board at front desk 3. You go back to your seat and wait 4. Front desk person calls you to front desk so that your name and info can be entered into computer system. 5. You go back to your seat and wait 6. When it is your turn the door to the left of the front desk opens with someone calling your name. Got there at 9:20am. Wife left her name at the front desk. We sat down and waited. It was too quiet. It was like a library. There were a lot or people sitting around waiting. There is a flat screen TV up on the left side wall, but it was powered off. During the 55 minutes that we waited, only a couple of people were called to the front desk to be entered into the computer. Because it is so quiet, you can hear their conversation from any location in the waiting room. Also, only a couple of people had their names called by the door opening. It was about 10:15am, when we decided to leave. We heard a guy on the opposite side of the waiting room say he had been waiting since 8:45am to get his name entered into the computer. Since our Health Insurance accepted Labcorp or Quest Diagnostics, we walked out the door and walked over to Quest Diagnostics, which is about 3 doors away at 1634 Market Place Blvd. When we walked into Quest Diagnostics, the front desk lady said good morning and promptly wife entered into the computer. Another person looked at computer, said that she didn't have what we were looking for but would get it in a couple of days and would call us. We were in and out in 5 minutes. The lobby at Quest looked more modern and didn't feel like a library. It even has a small area for kids to play. It also has some cushy benches for people that don't like the chairs or for people that may need more hip space. There was nobody waiting. At Labcorp, there is a cross eyed lady that works at the front desk. Not sure why it takes her 55 minutes to call 2 people to be entered into the computer. At one point, the front desk lady opened the door to call someone in. Either she is slow, or the place is under-staffed. Most people wait a long time and are in limbo at Step 3. I don't know why the TV is turned off. Having it on would give people something to look at. The sound from it would add some ambient sound to waiting room so that people can have conversations that don't travel across waiting room. I give this location one star for poor service, which is more of an Operations issue. The service is worst than the DMV. At least the DMV gives you a number that you can track on a monitor. read more

Staff are impersonal and unhappy, except when they want to know if you're fasting. The entire place is quiet like a library, so everyone waiting in the lobby hears the conversation when the Front Desk lady checks you in or reviews your lab order. We've been twice and I'll continue to schedule appointments here. Their hours are way better than our pediatrician and service is competent. Each time, we've waited ten (10) minutes past our scheduled appointment, which I suppose is acceptable overall, but it seems longer, especially when you're fasting. Customer service can be vastly improved by simply having 2 people at the Front Desk, instead of the one lady running the show. She's doing her best and is knowledgeable, but she doesn't have the time to show she has a caring heart. read more

My wife went in to have some blood testing done, and when the man stuck her with the needle to draw blood he hit one of the nerves in her arm. Even after she told him she was in excruciating pain and on the brink of tears, he left the needle in place, saying he was getting blood from it, implying that it didn't matter how much pain he caused. By the time the blood had been drawn, my wife was in tears and all the staff could manage was a meager, "I'm sorry". No one ever checked on her or inspected her arm to see if she was okay. Yes it takes time for your blood drawn but I blame it on corporate for not having enough staffing to serve the clients. The staff was apologetic after I had to wait an hour. Since I have worked in healthcare as a senior management/coo capacity it is clear to me that corporate is out of touch with their locations and prefer to overwork their staff for their own profits and bonuses. Hire more staff during peak hours and keep your staff and customers. Peak hours have a great deal of drug testing clients which need to to be addressed separately (they provide urine in a specimen cup) from those of us providing blood for testing. They don't take drug testing clients until 9 am so show up at 8 am if you are doing traditional blood tests. read more

I posted the following to Labcorps customer service dept and will update my review based on their response: I have submitted a complaint through the portal and never received call back, so I am submitting it again and copying this to YELP!!!! Someone named Brian who claimed to be the manager of the lab in Cumming, GA was extremely rude in front of several patients who witnessed it and who have had similar run-ins with this man. I left work 3 days in a row early using my personal pto benefits to try and make it to this location before closing at 4:30pm. The door shows the hours as open until 4:30pm. I have made 3 attempts to get there before closing. The first day, I arrived at 4:29 racing to get there and the door was locked. Tried the next day and got there at 4:15, door locked and he wouldn't answer my knock. Both times he was sitting at the front desk where I was visible. I tried the 3rd day at 4:25, patients were in waiting area and so I knocked on the door, showing him my phone that it was only 4:25. He stormed angrily to the door and said we are closed. Again I showed him my phone and he said " I don't go by your phone, I go by that clock right there on the wall". I told him that his clock is 10-15 minutes fast then and he said it didn't matter and that he goes by that clock..... Really........ So, I asked if I could speak with the manager and he said his name was Brian and he was the manager. I told him he wasn't acting like a very good manager. He shut the door in my face and locked it and walked away. I was half way back to my car and he opened the door and yelled across the parking lot ' " Have a nice day laughing"........ What a sick person.............. The people in the waiting room came out while I was in my car trying to figure out where else I could go or who to call, and they said they have had this problem before with this guy and that the reviews on line don't even give it 1 star. I can see why. You simply don't have enough locations to choose another place to avoid this location. I now have used 4 of my pto hours (1/2 day) just to have blood drawn. That's ridiculous.....; and I have had to reschedule a doctors visit because my blood work won't be back in time causing me to pay more for my prescriptions because without seeing the doctor to adjust medications I have to purchase another months supply of a dose he is going to change. The reason I give all these details is because I want to show how one individual has not only affected my situation, but cost me financially. People come to you to have their blood drawn for diagnosis of possible critical illnesses. The last thing they need is some jerk like this to deal with. He is definitely in the wrong field or needs to be retrained to deal with the public. I have been at this location before and there is a woman there who also claims to be the manager and I overheard her tell someone that they can never get out of there on time if people keep coming in at 4:30 to get their blood drawn. Why don't you change the hours then and say they are only open until 4:00 if they aren't going to help anyone after 4:00........ I think there may be some confusion/disconnect between you and your employees as the actual hours open and actual hours expected to work. Or maybe the confusion is the way you present yourself to the public. Also , I'm not sure who the manager really is since they have both claimed to be the manager. Employing rude people is something that costs you bad ratings. But because this was more of an issue of mocking and taunting after I walked away , and the fact that he has my personal information ----- I plan to escalate this to the highest level until I hear this issue has been addressed. I don't plan to avoid going there because of his ignorance and I also don't plan to allow him to treat me, ( a paying customer), with sub par service. I want to know what action has been taken to insure I don't have to deal with this individual. Maybe posting something to outside media will get the attention this deserves and will allow others to express their like concerns with this Labcorp facility.
