I found him through a shout out on social media by a childhood friend. She looked like she'd had work done but it looked good, and when I learned that Dr. Maleki was the one doing her treatments, I decided to make an appointment. When I arrived, I asked him to be completely direct with me. I knew my facial structure had changed over the years, but I couldn't pinpoint exactly what was different. I even brought photos of myself from 15 and 25 years ago and told him, "I want to look like this again!" He walked me through what he believed would help, including procedures he doesn't even perform himself (and told me who to go to for those). I used my fingers to mimic the changes he was describing, and I could immediately see what he meant. He was absolutely right! My lip lift and eyebrow lift is next if I hit the lottery (I'm not going to lie, these treatments are very expensive and will break the bank for the average woman). One thing I learned was that my lower jaw had widened due to bruxism (teeth grinding and clenching). Dr. Maleki used Botox in my masseter muscles to help slim my jawline and restore more of the heart-shaped contour and angle of my lower face. As someone who did the PR for Botox when it first came out, I especially enjoyed learning more about the product and hearing his insights, particularly given his experience as Allergan's Medical Director. I had used it on other parts of my face to prevent wrinkles, but I didn't know that it could be used for this. I could feel myself grinding my teeth when I would wake up, and now that I'm wearing Invisalign, I honestly thought it would break. I couldn't believe how relaxed my jaw was from the first night after my treatment. My face feels calm again. He also added a little filler to my upper cheekbones, which I'd done in my 30s and I love the result! The best part? His office is only five minutes from my home. Finding someone so talented, honest, and knowledgeable right in my own neighborhood was a slam dunk. I highly recommend Dr. Maleki to anyone considering aesthetic treatments. He takes the time to understand your goals, explains what he sees, and gives you his honest professional opinion rather than simply telling you what you want to hear.
