The pipe was extremely long, began spinning through the air, and came directly toward my vehicle. I had to slam on my breaks and move onto the shoulder to avoid a more serious collision. What is most concerning about this is that the driver never appeared to notice and did not stop. This situation could have ended much worse, especially if traffic had been heavier or another driver was unable to react in time. - I strongly encourage this company to ensure all materials and equipment are properly secured before getting on public roads. Something as preventable as an unsecured load can very easily become dangerous for other drivers on the road.
