I've been to this place at least 20 times and it's usually the other employee working by himself, he's very helpful, friendly and easy to talk to and enjoys conversation. He even gave me recommendations on which flavors to get (I didnt want ice / menthol flavor) Now on the other hand, the Hispanic worker and the female worker were there today, I bought a vape took ONE hit and it wouldn't turn off. This destroyed the coil almost instantly, since I opened it in front of their shop they exchanged it but said we would have to wait THIRTY minutes to get the same flavor. Because she was to lazy to walk 20 feet to get a replacement of the same flavor. We said we wanted the original flavor we came for and started to walk away, but as soon she saw us leaving she rushed 20 feet (not exaggerating distance) to the other store to get the flavor we wanted, great right? NOPE!!!!! - not only was she extremely rude she was also lazy and lied straight to my fiancée and my face. No, I opened the package in front of the store and the coil burnt out on the first hit AGAIN. I walk 5 feet back to the store and tell them it did the same thing, the lady rudely remarks "I JUST SAW YOU TAKE A MASSIVE HIT AND THERES STILL SMOKE COMING OUT!" (The smoke coming out was nearly nothing considering the coil was failing and then completely failed about 3 seconds later) The male clerk thought the batteries were dead, obviously not considering I just took one single massive hit as if it had a full battery, he insisted I try hitting the vape while it's on the charger. (Obviously didnt work) He then gave me my money back, no comment, nothing, like he was happy to lose business, no apologies AT ANY TIME FROM EITHER EMPLOYEES. No assistance finding a replacement, literally no help whatsoever. A cop arresting you is more helpful than these two. We also arrived early and we were looking around near the register, he walks in 15 seconds behind us and his first remark was "you'll get a email when it's ready" then looks at us and says "oh you're paying cash, you'll get a call" he then immediately hands our order to us because we were paying before the order got there from 20 feet away. He also tried blaming the vapes for being "old" even though this is a new product at their store. And they run out of inventory nearly every day and receive new products also almost daily. If you're going to own and operate a store, at least have some product knowledge on your own inventory. If this wasn't such a niche market they would have gone out of business their first fiscal quarter. You two should quit while you're ahead and let the other guy run the store, at least he has social skills, problem solving skills, knowledgeable about the flavors. The very least you could have done was offer a discount on the third vape I got from a different company at your story. Or at the VERY minimum an apology instead of blaming the manufacturer. I buy 2 vapes every 2-3 days, you do the math on the money you just lost, I'm sure it's in the thousands since I'll be shopping online and telling everyone I know to not go to your sham of a "business" For the record, the two vapes that failed are made by "LOST VAPE ORION BAR" old vape rofl.... lithium batteries last well over 10 years, at least come up with a better excuse if you're going to lie to your customer base.

And then I would undercut the market by 30% and operate on volume over profit margins because the economy has changed and the folks who put together a strategy that mirrors the problems in the pockets of its customers will have a line out the door and people will stick around, buy more and invite their friends. Maybe add a rockin' coffee bar?! The traditional model of foreigners arriving and putting the exact same products on the shelves as the guy across the street without any sense of differentiation, no marketing plan, mediocre customer service; it's all rather tired and not an attractive addition to the community. Then expecting customer loyalty and offering cash discounts such as "Sure you can pay me an extra $5 bucks for being stupid enough to walk in the door." The best vapes are available in Agoura Hills at The Treasure Chest for 25% less. And you don't have to pay for fluorescent lighting sure to provide a head ache on your way in. Seemingly entirely uninterested in knowing their market, just stock up, add some tacky cheap jewelry and open the doors. This isn't downtown Chinatown but they keep repeating the theme, not offering anything, no incentive to return and ultimately make me feel like garbage for patronizing them at all. No one is bad. No. But no one even TRIES to be wonderful. A strong theme in all kinds of businesses lately wherein creativity and innovation are checked at the lease signing. A supremely cozy lounge where people who smoke can discuss an intelligent plan for quitting? Just to start. Give away samples. Don't hoard your money. They aren't coming because you're not offering anything worthwhile so they all become increasingly .' 'vulturous.' This is our country and you're welcome to my money when you price compete and offer an environment that doesn't give me a stomach ache. Nice guy and it's not horrific but why not be a stand out on EVERY SIGNIFICANT FRONT? Remember, this is not dress rehearsal. This is IT: YOUR OPPORTUNITY FOR A DEFINING MOMENT.

Every time I buy a vape with cash, it is always a different price. It was always as if the employees just make up their own price, which I now believe is what's happening here. I buy the same, clear vape and I couldn't tell you what the actual price is. The second to last time I went, the employee asked "cash or card?" And when I responded cash, they gave me a price. Once I realized I didn't have the cash, I told them card and they gave me an entirely different price. Nearly $10 cheaper, and when I asked for an explanation all they could say was that they initially "accidentally clicked the wrong number". So you're telling me you were just going to overcharge me if I paid cash? Cool. Came back a few weeks later for another vape, and it was $45 with cash. $45???? I went down the street to Smokers Cave just to test what they charge there and to my surprise, it was $33 for the same exact vape. I'm 100% positive the employees at 805 Smoke and Vape are overcharging people who pay with cash and pocketing the rest. There is no way in hell a regular vape is $45. The fact that the employees are so comfortable up charging and keeping the remaining cash is disgusting and I find it hard to believe whoever owns this smoke shop hasn't caught on. You are ripping people off and losing loyal customers, all for a couple extra bucks. Do not come to this smoke shop. If you do, pay with card and get a receipt that way they can't rip you off. Or just go to Smokers Cave up the road where you won't have to worry about anyone ripping you off.
