Ever hear the term "ambulance chasers"? That's what it felt like being contacted out of the blue…read moreby this group, without my asking them for their info or giving them permission... I filled out a form on the Arizona housing department website asking for information about special mortgages. I have NO idea how David F. and his team got a hold of my cell phone and email from that, but they did. Next thing I know, I get a creepy text from David on my one day off, Sunday, trying to chat me up like we already had met and like I had solicited his help. NOPE. I did not. I certainly don't want to get cold-called via text, but that's exactly what he did. To me, texting is reserved for family and a few close friends. I don't want to be someone's next "mark" via a text and on my F'ing Sunday! He also had the nerve to add me to his spamming emails and I started getting emails with properties in them. Once again, I never signed up with these people, had NO idea who they were and certainly didn't give them permission to spam me. So, when I get this interrupting text from a total stranger while I'm at a play on my day off, I logically ask: How did you get my info? Instead of answering my question or apologizing, I get another creepy text asking me more questions about my activity. This is when I decided these people are just unctuous (see dictionary). REALLY? Is that the right way to start off a fiduciary relationship? Intrude on someone's life via their cell phone without asking and then when they ask you a logical question ignore it and slime your way further into a hole with another question? Gross. Just gross. So, I extended (via another text) some sage feedback to David F. about how NOT to start a biz relationship (uh, like cold-texting someone and then ignoring their "why are you contacting me" response...) and he had the nerve to once again, ignore my displeasure, not apologize and say that his tactics are good. What do I have to say to the fool who ignores the potential client's statements about the UNWARRANTED, UNSOLICITED and offensive behavior? BYE BYE. Dude, if you can't f'ing get a clue about what I find acceptable and unacceptable about how you initiate a dialogue with me, do you think I'd trust you to help me buy a HOUSE? OMFG. Get a clue... Took us a day or three to call references and run credit on our top choices but then we signed with renters that week. So we basically rented our house in 3 days at the HIGH end of the price range! From the first walk through they pointed out features to fix in order to make the house more appealing and had contacts to get all of it done. We had a tenant that was in the unit at the time and it was not always easy, but Jeff and Debbie were understanding and accommodating. They offered client portals for us to see if there were viewings and updates on the neighborhood to see if we would need to adjust our approach. Once we had a offer they drew out what the offer would look like to our end game and also included a counter offer. We countered and it was accepted, we were under contract in about 4 days. They kept us posted on the inspection and appraisal as well as when then loan for the buyer was funded. The day of the closing they were reaching out to us to congratulate us, which is awesome seeing how many agents see the transaction as closed and move on. Jeff and Debbie also sent us a follow up email letting us know about the escrow account on our house that we sold and how we should have funds coming back to us from that. And boy did we- he had a host lined up. Had done his research ahead & was filling me in on property details as we're en route. Yep- some of them were duds. That's to be expected! But he was actively engaged the entirety & listening to my input. Also has an intuition & could tell without me saying a word wether I was impressed or not. We'd seen a handful & opted to stop at one last open house my very first day viewing... low & behold that was THE one! It's been a minute & this was my first time SOLO purchasing, in a different state. Steve had my back. Educated me on everything & advised our next move. As of today, I got my keys & am fully closed- new homeowner! But, it doesn't end there. His teaming with Angie in mortgage is just incredible & there's no way I could have done this without either. The seller's agent was brand new to this industry & Steve had it handled the entire way making sure it was as smooth & seamless possible. There was a hiccup to be expected (on the other end) but it was handled flawlessly. I'm more impressed they were working nearly around the clock for me. On their own- because that is quality & dedication! All of my calls were promptly returned, questioned answered clearly & I barely had to lift a finger. Stew was alongside from the initial viewing, through inspection, all the way up until I was handed the keys today. Angie was on the phone with me the entirety of I needed anything at all & following up. In the business for well over 20 years, he knows this market inside & out! Same with Angie, when it comes to mortgaging, there's no one I'd trust more. It shows in their integrity, ambition & genuine empathy. Hands down, if I ever choose to sell & purchase again- no question who I'm seeking as an agent! Two months later and only after dismissing it initially...I felt the response was only because his rating dropped to under 5 stars instead of actually caring about his customer. How awkward and weird to ask to come to my home after the fact. I informed him that I truly did not want his business and that he has yet to provide the info. I think the request are upwards of half a dozen now. So, I got 2 estimates, sent him the cheaper one and asked him to either forward this to the seller agent or to please provide the info (again). This was his email: Thank formation you need is on the last page of the Realestate purchase contract. I would have gladly stepped in on this for you but after all that's happened and your firing me firmly twice I see no reason to. Please don't contact me again. So, just to re-cap: -it's a 20$ autofill, people are just lazy -some people aren't built like you and me (no shit, he really said that). -Stew got paid -informed him of after market issues that were covered up and asked for help -dismissed my concerns telling me it wasn't worth it -it won't go anywhere -I'll end up eating the cost and not worth going to court -I asked him to make sure the other realtor knew -requested multiple times for other agent info -as I found issues sent him pics and texted or called (very friendly mind you). -he informed me that I needed to get multiple quotes and send to him and he would "fight" for me. All I can say is that if he truly wanted to make it right he would have stomached his pride ever so slightly. Instead, he again....did zero, nothing, didn't even try, responded as a victim.
