Loud banging, not spinning the water out. My wife and I have been going to the Laundromat for the last month (calling it our date night)...but that add up. 1. I looked up a few businesses for estimate: Affordable In-House responded in minutes to my request and got me on the books for the next morning (today). 2. Jonathan (the tech) called me before coming out and showed up promptly. Super nice guy. 3. He asked me what the problem was--and then he re-created it. 4. He told me that he could fix it and said "to be honest, for what it is going to cost you, you could buy a brand new machine." And then explained that I could probably continue using it until I hat a new machine but suggested smaller loads and explained what will happen as it continues to break down. Problem was barring and spider...something...I just nodded my head like I know what head meant. Cause that's what men do. It cost me about $60 to have him come out and diagnose and give estimate. I have had my mixer for over 10 years and I love it, they no longer make the sea glass color and my hope is to keep this mixer for many more years. I went on the Mr. Mixer website and reviewed their very clear instructions including a video on how to ship my mixer and what the process is once they receive it. I highly recommend purchasing the shipping package for $99 it comes not only with the shipping and box but enough packing materials to ensure it arrives safely. Once there they sent me a text letting me know not had arrived and they would text me when it's on their bench. Please note that at the time of this review it was taking 12-14 weeks for a mixer to be repaired and returned. However, I know they are increasing their staffing so that time will likely be adjusted. What I loved was they sent me pictures throughout the repair process and not only repaired but cleaned it and inspected it for any other issues. As soon as it was done within 1-2 days they sent it back to me at no additional cost. It arrived clean and packaged perfectly. My mixer is now working great! If you love your kitchen aid and you want a skilled, reputable company repairing it definitely go to Mr. Mixer you won't be disappointed!
