After spending two full days last year cooking and preparing a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, we…read moredecided we weren't going to repeat that marathon effort this time around. Instead, we opted for something simple and fun: pizza. Marco's, thankfully, was open on Thanksgiving Day, and with a promised delivery time of just 30 minutes, we were genuinely excited to skip the stress and still enjoy a feast. Soon enough, six steaming pies and six boxes of wings arrived at the door, all hot, fragrant, and delicious. The spread felt festive in its own way, even without turkey and stuffing. I sampled a few of the boneless chicken bites, then happily demolished a generous portion of the BBQ chicken pizza before moving on to a slice of the margherita. Both were fabulous. The crust was a little doughier and thicker than what I usually prefer, but the flavor was solid and satisfying. All in all, it was good pizza, and far easier than wrestling with a turkey for hours. The crust was really good but the pizza lacked flavor. The price point was higher than other similar places. The atmosphere was also not our favorite and service was just okay. After this experience, I will never be coming back. I ordered the #1, a turkey sandwich, and asked for no tomatoes. The first worker scoffed and told me, "We aren't at toppings yet." I apologized and explained that I had never been there before and couldn't see what they were doing behind the massive counter. When it was actually time for toppings, I took maybe ten seconds to look at the options and decide what I wanted. That seemed to be enough time for the second worker to become visibly irritated with me. I then asked whether the sandwich comes warmed or if I needed to request that, and that's when her attitude completely changed. She refused to answer me, rolled her eyes, and started talking negatively about me to the first worker while I was standing right there. I apologized again and explained that I had never been there before and simply wasn't familiar with their process. I don't think asking how the sandwich is prepared is an unreasonable question, especially as a first-time customer. I also found it very unprofessional that the worker was making food while wearing sunglasses. To make matters worse, when I got to the cashier, the second worker proceeded to call me names over something as simple as asking whether my sandwich came warmed. The food itself was actually pretty good, which makes the experience even more disappointing. I would have gladly returned, but the way I was treated by the staff completely ruined the experience. No customer should be made to feel embarrassed or disrespected simply for being unfamiliar with a restaurant's process.
